Kisangani is the capital of Tshopo province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is the fifth most populous urban area in the country, with an estimated population of 1,261,000 in 2020 and the largest of the cities that lie in the tropical woodlands of the Congo
Some 1,300 miles (2,100 km) from the mouth of the Congo River, Kisangani is the farthest navigable point upstream. Kisangani is the nation's most important inland port after Kinshasa, an important commercial hub point for river and land transportation and a major marketing and distribution centre for the north-eastern part of the country. It has been the commercial capital of the northern Congo since the late 19th century.

Butembo is a city in North Kivu, in the north eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, lying west of the Virunga National Park. The city is an important commercial centre with large markets, a cathedral, multiple large hospitals, and an airport. The city is located in a region known forc and coffee growing. As of 2013 it had an estimated population of 670,285, making it the second largest city in North Kivu.[1]

Butembo est une ville de la province du Nord-Kivu, en République démocratique du Congo. Elle se trouve au nord-est du pays, à l'ouest des montagnes des Virunga. Elle est parmi les neuf villes socio-économiques de la République Démocratique du Congo : Baraka, Bandundu, Beni, Boma, Butembo, Likasi, Mwene-Ditu, Uvira et Zongo.
The Adventist University of Lukanga (UNILUK) founded in 1979 is located in Butembo.Une borne indiquant la ligne de l’équateur est à environ vingt-cinq kilomètres au sud de la ville.

Économie
Les principales activités de ses habitants sont le commerce, l'agriculture et l'élevage. La ville est bâtie grâce au seul dynamisme de ses habitants. En effet, grâce aux retombées issues du commerce avec surtout les pays de l'Afrique Orientale, du Moyen et de l'Extrême-Orient, la ville se voit dotée peu à peu de nouveaux immeubles et de coquettes résidences privées2.

حدث ذلك في بويوفوي في مقاطعة لولابا، في جنوب البلاد.
وذكر راديو اوكابى ان القطار اشتعلت فيه النيران بعد ان وصل الى واد. ووفقا للتقارير، كانت تحمل مواد قابلة للاشتعال.
وكان القطار يعمل بين لوبومباشي ثاني أكبر مدينة وبلدة لوينا على بعد 2000 كم من العاصمة كينشاسا.
وقال حاكم المقاطعة ريتشارد مويج انه وقع حادث ولكن لم يستطع

This is a story about our journey to Tshikapa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Stéphane's family lived in Belgian Congo in 1950ties. His younger brother died in Tshikapa from malaria when he was only 5 months old. As the family wanted a boy, few years later Stéphane was born. Stéphane's long time ambition was to go to Tshikapa, DRC and to try and find the place where Gaëtan was buried and to pay his respects. This trip is about us trying to find Gaëtan's burrial site.
