An early morning walk around Lake Ginninderra, Canberra
Lake Ginninderra is an artificial lake located on the Ginninderra Creek in Canberra. It is adjacent to the Belconnen Town Centre. The lake was constructed in 1974 to collect stormwater discharge from a 98.8 square kilometres (38.1 sq mi) catchment that includes the surrounding suburbs of Aranda, Macquarie, Cook, Bruce, Belconnen, McKellar, Giralang, Kaleen in the eastern areas of Belconnen.
The lake is home to much wildlife, such as the Black swan, moorhens, ducks and the Rakali.
The lake was formed through the construction of the Ginninderra Drive embankment across Ginninderra Creek. The lake has a surface area of 1.05 square kilometres (0.41 sq mi) and an average depth of 3.5 metres (11 ft). Water flow out of the lake is via a multi-celled concrete culvert structure and spillway chute on the Ginninderra Drive embankment.
During 2004 the Ginninderra Drive embankment was raised by one metre. The earthen embankments on the Coulter Drive side of the lake have been raised as well.

Canberra bike ride 堪培拉的骑自行车
Part of my daily commute in Canberra 堪培拉, Australia's national capital. The C5 cycle route runs between Belconnen in the northwest and Tuggeranong in the far south of the Australian Capital Territory. This video includes sections of the Canberra Nature Park, Lake Burley Griffin, and Scrivener Dam. My daily ride is 15km door to door and takes around 45 mins. Caution: this video features me singing Melissa Etheridge songs. Recorded 29 June (winter) 2021 with a GoPro Max mounted on my helmet. I ride a Cube Town Hybrid 400 e-bike, and a Christiania Model 2 cargo bike, but usually separately.

[Paresh] My name is Paresh, we're here from, we arrived here from the UK three and a half months ago. This is Heema, and my two children Maya and Shrey.
What brought us to Canberra were some of the fantastic opportunities we had on offer here. So when choosing a city, we were thinking about a city that was easy to live in, that was easy to get around and which had good schools, because clearly with the children schoolings really important, and also had the right career opportunities, not only for myself but also Heema, because Heema was beginning to think about going back to work.
The ACT Government supported my accommodation for example, in Canberra, they came out with me and spent an afternoon with me showing me around Canberra, really giving us a feel for what its like to be living and working in Canberra. Which I think was just so critical in our decision-making.
[Heema] Our first impressions of Canberra, absolutely amazing, we love it, it's a nice vibrant city, a capital like no other, really. Its got the kind of hustle and bustle of a capital, yet still not too imposing, like some other capitals around the world. It seems like an ideal place to bring up young children.
[Maya] If you're moving to Canberra or Australia, I think that you should get involved in as many activities as you can, to meet new people and make new friends.
[Shrey] Make sure that you like, take part and give a good first impression so you can get more friends and, try not to be shy and just, like, talk to people.
