The Kalasha Valleys (Kalasha-mondr: Kaĺaśa Desh; Urdu: وادی کالاش) are valleys in Chitral District in northern Pakistan. The valleys are surrounded by the Hindu Kush mountain range. The inhabitants of the valley are the Kalash people, who have a unique culture, language and follow a form of ancient Hinduism.[1] As such, the Kalasha Valleys are a source of attraction for Pakistani as well as International tourists. There are three main valleys.[2][3][4] The largest and most populous valley is Bumburet (Mumuret), reached by a road from Ayun in the Kunar Valley. Rumbur is a side valleys north of Bumburet. The third valley, Biriu (Birir), is s side valley of the Kunar Valley south of Bumburet.
Kalash people are the smallest religious as well as the ethnic minority of Pakistan. Their customs and traditions are contradictory to the Islamic and Pakistani culture. The Kalash religion is polytheist faith and the people offer sacrifices for their gods. Their culture is interlinked with their religion and based upon several festivals and celebrations. The people generally do not intermarry or cohabit regions with local Muslims but neither are they hostile towards them. The people are under legal and constitutional protection of the State of Pakistan as a scheduled tribe.

Здесь мы познакомимся с местными, их традициями и религией, угостимся настоящим чаем масала, узнаем, как делают четки и рисуют мандалы. В общем, полностью отдадимся потоку и погрузимся в атмосферу этой необычайной страны.
Расскажу о первых впечатлениях от Катманду: вонь, вездесущие торговцы, множество детей, бездомных собак и храмов. Мы поговорим о пометках между бровей у местных: какие они бывают и чем отличаются, а затем зайдем в самый обычный дворик. Непалец Йогразбазрацаре охотно расскажет об истории двора, который был построен его предками около 400 лет назад, о своих многочисленных родственниках и о проведении церемонии пуджа. И еще угостит меня традиционным местным напитком - чаем масала.
Затем мы очутимся в еще одном дворе, посреди которого растет священное дерево Бодхи. Тут от продавца четок мы узнаем, почему же это дерево считается священным, а также об особенностях четок и их разновидностях.
Еще нас ждет знакомство с гидом по имени Гопал. Он расскажет о Сваямбунатх - одном из мест силы Непала и о легенде про возникновение долины Катманду. От него узнаем о религиях, распространенных в этой стране и о значении слова «намасте». Гопал поведает о различиях между богатыми и бедными, о местных школах и о кастах, которые существуют в Непале. А в такси мы разговоримся с местным, узнаем о сроке давности автомобилей в Непале, а также о том, почему он стал христианином.

Далее я отправлюсь в Буданат, где буду ходить кругами вокруг ступы Будды, читать мантры, а затем почувствую зов мандалы из магазина напротив. Продавец расскажет нам о строгих правилах изготовления мандал и о длительном обучении этому ремеслу.
Также мы побываем в городе Лалитпур и посетим дворцовую площадь, где некогда жили короли и королевы. Местный гид расскажет об истории этого места, о богах, статуи которых находятся на площади, а также об основных архитектурных стилях Непала.
Приехав в бывшую столицу - Бхактапур, мы зайдем в гости к местному непальцу. Он расскажет нам о народности невари, а также познакомит со своей большой семьей и расскажет о стоимости жизни здесь.
В Покхаре нас ждет встреча с еще одним героем. Он покажет, как правильно готовить дал, расскажет о своем распорядке дня и о семейном храме. А еще познакомимся с девушкой Кешу, которая угостит нас местным стрит-фудом и расскажет о непальских браках по договоренности.

On 17 May 2022, When we went to see the Chilam Joshi festival in Kalash Valley Chitral, there was the ancient cemetery of the Kalash tribe. it was very mysterious when I went there. used to go, which caused a lot of bad smells and spread of diseases there. when I went there to make a documentary, I got a lot of fear which I have not forgotten till today.

बाँदा एक एतिहासिक शहर है। ये शहर बाँदा जिले का मुख्यालय भी है।

This vlog covers our drive from Horanadu to Vasishta theertha and Kalaseshwara temple of Kalasa.
This was part of our 3 days trip to Chikkamagalur and Hassan during 30 Dec 2016.

Vasishta Theertha:
Kalasa town is around 6.5 Kms from Annapoorneshwari temple of Horanadu.
Our first destination Vasishta theertha is 1.5 Kms from this Place. To reach Vasishta theertha, you need to take the road which is on the other side of the temple.
Ypu will get to see Bhadra river which flows calmly throgh Kalasa at Vasishta theertha.
The beautiful pedestrian hanging bridge built across the river adds beauty to the place.
The River Bhadra originates at Gangamoola near Kudremukha, and flows east across the southern part of Deccan Plateau,
It flows through the towns of Kudremukh, Kalasa, Horanadu, Balehonnur, Balehole and Narasimharajapura(N.R Pura).
The Bhadra meets the Tunga River at Koodli, a small town near Shivamogga.
Later it continues as Tungabhadra, a major tributary of the River Krishna, then empties into the Bay of Bengal.
kalaseshwara Temple:
Tradition traces the origin of Kalaseshwara temple to events related in the Skanda Purana.
Accordingly, the wedding of Lord Shiva and Parvathi in Himalayas caused a shift in the Earth's rotation because of the attendance of all Gods and Goddesses.
To restore the Earth's balance, Lord Shiva requested Sage Agasthya to travel South. Agasthya however, expressed his wish to witness the wedding. Lord Shiva assured to grant divine vision to the sage, which would enable him to witness the wedding from any part of the world.
Agasthya travelled southward and resided in Kalasa and from there he watched the wedding.
A Shiva Linga appeared out of his Kalasha, which means pot. He built a temple here and installed the Linga in it. This is why the temple now called as Kalaseshwara temple.
The Girija Kalyana (marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvathi) is celebrated in Kalasa every year to commemorate this tradition.

Manimahesh Lake (also known as Dal Lake, Manimahesh) is a high altitude lake (elevation 4,048 meters (13,390 ft)) situated close to the Manimahesh Kailash Peak in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, in the Bharmour subdivision of Chamba district of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The religious significance of this lake is next to that of Lake Manasarovar in Tibet.
