Hey guys, we were craving a good beach day so we thought to spend a day around Vasai instead of going to same old beaches of Mumbai and what a fun day it was.
We started with the lunch at Farmhouse Sea and Sand Restaurant, Pachubandar - food is really amazing, mainly known for fresh sea food but vegetarian food is also nice and the view of Vasai creek is amazing.
After that we explored Vasai Fort aka Bassein Fort, we have been here so many times but each time we discover something new, fort is spread out in approximately 100 acres and mostly in ruins but some church structures are still there and whenever you pay a visit here, make sure you see this Vijay Stambh made for the remembrance of Chimaji Appa who won the battle of Vasai against Portuguese.
Then we had Vasai's most famous Vada Pav - Amruteshwar Vada Pav famously known as Sanju Vada Pav - it is near New English School and just opposite of Chimaji Appa ground.
After that we went to see sunset at Rajodi beach and had coffee & Mocktail at The Good Vibes Cafe.

KALAMB - An Isolated beach near Mumbai || Nallasopara || Camel Ride near Mumbai ||
Kalamb Beach is a long, isolated beach
and is located at Nalasopara West near Nirmal Village in Palghar District, north suburb of Mumbai. Kalamb is the 4th beach connected in row after Arnala beach, Navapur beach and Rajodi beach. The beach is clean, not so crowded and is unknown to most of the people. This beach is idle for peace lovers. Apart from this it's quite famous location for photographers and love couples.
You can have a one day trip to the location if you live near its vicinity. Overnight stay is also possible here but it is advisable to book your accomodation in advance online. Hotels / farm house / guest house are in plenty and every place is not up to the mark. Luxury accommodation can hardly be found here.
This beach has semi black thick Sand. The beach doesn't has any watesports but has got couple of lovely Camels. You can enjoy the ride by paying nominal charges.
HOW TO REACH, THE KALAMB BEACH:
BY TRAIN: Nalasopara on Western Railway Route, North of Mumbai Suburb in Palghar District. It is approximate 70 Kilometres to beach from Mumbai city which may take anywhere between two to 3 hours. Need to get down at Nalasopara West (See Railway Map or Station Names) for reference if new to Mumbai. Adjacent to railway station is bus depot and also private auto’s available. From Railway station, beach is at 7 Kilometres and Nirmal Junction is at 6 Kilometres.
BY ROAD : On National Highway 8 (Mumbai Ahmedabad Highway) get inside Nalasopara towards station (Keep Note of Sign Boards on Highway as one can easily miss it in the way it has been kept). Cross over the East West Flyover and go straight in west. Once inside Nalasopara village, be on Wagholi Nirmal Road. Upon reaching Nirmal market naka go straight towards Kalamb beach.
NOTE: You can take your own vehicle to beach directly as there are no restrictions. ( If you are taking vehicle you may need to pay 5-10 rupees as a fee for your vehicle at enterance , you get an acknowledgment receipt of the same. The paid amount is utilised for maintenance of the beach.
