Our day begins with a refreshing auto ride to North Cliff from Varkala station, where we settle into the serene surroundings. We explore the pristine Varkala Beach, strolling along the golden sands and soaking up the breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. As we explore North Cliff by foot, we stumble upon Cafe Italiano for lunch, but unfortunately, the food and service leave much to be desired. Undeterred, we make our way to Bindu's Cafe, where we indulge in an amazing cold coffee while enjoying the soothing ocean breeze. Finally, we witness a breathtaking sunset at the horizon and end our day's adventures at the enchanting Varkala Aquarium.
???? Day 2: Jatayu Earth Centre and North Cliff Exploration ????
On our second day, we rent a scooty and embark on a thrilling journey to Jatayu Earth Centre. This awe-inspiring destination offers one of the most amazing experiences in Kerala, where we explore colossal statues, immerse ourselves in nature, and take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. After an awe-inspiring adventure, we return to North Cliff, where we indulge in some shopping, capturing the essence of local crafts and souvenirs. Varkala is famous for its beaches, cliff, parties, fancy cafes, surfing, and lip-smacking food but very few people know that Varkala is also a historical town in the mythological history of India. Come along as I take you on a journey you didn't know you needed. And yes! a huge shout-out to the KSRTC buses in Kerala. I traveled to Varakala from Munnar on the local bus. It took me 9 hours and the journey was comfortable and beautiful.

Things to do in Varkala
Varkala is a major coastal municipality situated in the northern suburb of Trivandrum, capital city of the Indian state of Kerala. It is the headquarters of Varkala Taluk and important government institutions such as the taluk office, court complex, office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Legal Metrology Inspector office, Excise Circle and Range office, RTO, Treasury and Mini civil station are situated in here. It is one among the oldest municipalities of Kerala established on 1980.
Varkala is the only region in southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea.[3] These Cenozoic sedimentary formation cliffs are a unique geological feature on the otherwise flat Kerala coast, and are known among geologists as Varkala Formation. The cliffs have been declared a national geological monument by the Geological Survey of India for their protection, maintenance, promotion, and the enhancement of geotourism. There are numerous water spouts and spas on the sides of these cliffs. In 2015, the Ministry of Mines, the Government of India, and the Geological Survey of India (GSI) declared Varkala Cliffs a geo-heritage site.
