Karwar Island Tour I Must Visit Places in Karwar I Travel With Shatabdi
Karwar is a beautiful scenic town in the Uttara Kannada district of the Indian state of Karnataka. Extremely beautiful, the city is famous for a number of temples, forts and beaches. Karwar is located about 15 km south of the border of Karnataka and Goa, and it’s around 520 kilometres from Bangalore.
There are many hidden places in Karwar, which are not famous among tourists, in this video, you’ll see some beautiful islands around Karwar and the information about the boat trip.
Other tourist places in Karwar
Rabindranath Tagore beach is one of the most popular tourist places in Karwar, here you can have the mesmerising view of the Arabian sea. There are many other touristy spots near the beach, including Warship Museum and Rock Garden.
You can also explore the recreational park, aquarium, and planetarium situated near Rabindranath Tagore beach. The beach is just next to the main highway, which connects the city to Goa.
INS Chapal was an active warship with Indian navy and the star of naval warfare during the 1971 India Pakistan war. INS Chapal was responsible for bombarding Karachi Port and enforcing naval blockade in Arabian Sea during 1971 Indo-Pak war.
Crew of INS Chapal won 2 Param Veer Chakras and 8 Veer Chakras, some of the highest military honours in our country. The warship was Commissioned in 4th November 1976 and Decommissioned in 5th May 2005.
The 245 tons warship had a speed of 37 knots, with loaded weapons like 30 mm anti-aircraft guns and surface to air missiles. You can experience the interiors of INS Chapal, the engine room and the uniform of our Brave soldiers.
Rock Garden in Karwar is just next to the Rabindranath Tagore beach. Rocks found while four-lining of the Mangalore-Panaji highway have been carved into creative shapes.
It’s showcases the lifestyle of Uttara Kannada district. Once can experience the lifestyle of the tribal people of Uttara Kannada, lifestyle of fishermen and many more have been created.
Models are very well made and are life-like structures. Fishermen family structure and crocodile structure at the entrance are among the main attractions here. The Rock Garden can be visited from 9:30 AM - 7:30 PM at the cost of 30 rupees per person.

This video is part of our Coastal Karnataka 8 days road trip that we did with our daughter.
Coastal Karnataka
Coastal Karnataka is amongst the least explored destinations among Indian coastlines. This is despite the fact that the area offers a rich collection of beautiful beaches, temples, ancient ruins, forest trails, caves, and jaw-dropping landscapes.

???? Starting from Goa Airport, I hopped on a rented scooty and cruised through the scenic roads, heading straight to Palolem Beach. The refreshing sea breeze and golden sunset created a mesmerizing backdrop for the start of my trip.
????♂️ The next morning, I immersed myself in the tranquil beauty of Palolem Beach by kayaking along the serene waters, taking in the picturesque surroundings. It was a fantastic way to kick-start my day!
???? After working up an appetite, I indulged in a delightful breakfast at Cozy Nook Shack, savoring mouthwatering local delicacies and enjoying the cozy beachfront ambiance.
⛵ Joining a group tour, I set sail to Butterfly Beach on a boat, marveling at the enchanting coastal scenery. The crystal-clear waters and secluded shores made it a true hidden gem of Goa. ????
???? On the way back, I couldn't believe my luck when I spotted a Tortoise Rock, an incredible natural formation. But the surprises didn't end there! I had a magical encounter with playful dolphins, jumping alongside our boat, leaving me in awe of Goa's marine wonders.
????️ Refueling at Sam Shack, I relished a scrumptious lunch, indulging in the vibrant flavors of Goan cuisine. The blend of spices and fresh ingredients truly tantalized my taste buds.
????️ To embrace the spiritual side of Goa, I visited the Mallikaarjun Temple, immersing myself in its serene atmosphere and admiring the intricate architecture. It was a moment of tranquility and reflection.
????️ Galgibaga Beach beckoned me with its secluded charm, offering a peaceful retreat away from the bustling crowds. At Surya Beach Cafe, I savored the delicious Tiger Fish, a local specialty, while embracing the breathtaking ocean views.
???? Finally, my vlog concludes with the mesmerizing beauty of Palolem Beach at sunset. The soft golden sands, azure waters, and vibrant beach vibes create a perfect ending to my incredible journey.

Welcome back to my exciting Goa series! In this second vlog, join me as I continue my adventures in South Goa, starting from my stay in beautiful Palolem. ????
???? I hopped on my trusty scooty in the morning and set off to explore the enchanting Agonda Beach. The pristine shoreline, fringed with swaying palm trees, offered a serene escape from the world. It was a paradise waiting to be discovered.
????️ Just a short 10-minute drive away, I arrived at the picturesque Cola Beach. Eager to embrace the turquoise waters, I embarked on a kayaking adventure in the stunning Blue Lagoon. However, the experience turned out to be quite comical as the lagoon was filled with people in shallow waters, making kayaking a hilarious challenge. Nonetheless, I made the most of it and laughed along with fellow adventurers.
????️ Hungry from all the paddling, I sat down at a cozy shack on Cola Beach for a delicious lunch. The flavors of Goan cuisine tantalized my taste buds as I enjoyed the laid-back beach atmosphere and took in the breathtaking coastal views.
????️ Exploring a secluded section of Cola Beach, I discovered a hidden gem tucked away from the crowds. The untouched beauty of this serene spot was truly captivating. As I made my way back to the parking area, I climbed up and was rewarded with a stunning panoramic view that left me in awe of Goa's natural splendor.
⛰️ Seeking more adventures, I ventured towards the historic Cabo de Rama Fort. As I navigated the winding roads, I found myself temporarily lost in search of the elusive viewpoint. However, luck was on my side as I encountered a friendly local aunty who graciously guided me to the best sunset point in South Goa. The breathtaking vista painted the sky with hues of gold and orange, creating an unforgettable moment.
???? With the stunning sunset as the perfect conclusion to my South Goa series, I bid farewell to this enchanting destination. Thank you all for joining me on this incredible journey of exploration, discovery, and unforgettable experiences.

Black Sand Beach in India | Oyster Rock Lighthouse | Must Visit Places in Karwar
Being on the road is something that always inspires me and to top up the happiness are beaches. The ride through the ghats always lightens us reminding us of home, Garo Hills. We ensure that we stop at Kolikere for a yummy coffee break and cocktail samosas at Santosh's coffy shop about 10kms before Yellapur. This trip is not our first time to Karwar, where we always love to explore and this little town always have so much more to offer than Tagore beach and Indian Navy base. You might find that we did not cover many places on the same day as I was working from home and made to places that we dint explore earlier. The trip to Oyster Rock Island and the Lighthouse kindled the childhood in me; when I used to read Famous Five. Polem beach is always like a hidden beach and we love to relax, enjoy the spectacular sunsets and the delicious food the chef serves at the tiny shack, which is superior than many restaurants in Goa. The best place is rustic and still untouched. The black sand beach was so pristine and beautiful that I will cherish for my entire lifetime and I am sure that I am going to visit this place again and would definitely love to run along the shoreline of Majali in my next visit. If you are in doubt about places to visit during your vacation this place is ideal and has many hotels and resorts that I am sure will blow you away.

Karwar is a city in Karnataka being the headquarters of Uttara Kannada district in the Southern western coast of India. It is situated between Sahyadri ever green forest in east, blue Arabian Sea to the west, towards south ends with harbour and North the beautiful Kali river.
It is one of the green city of India with eco tourism. Hills has created a natural harbour with protection against wind and sea tides naturally. Being a port town, Karwar is a centre for fish business, agriculture, known for manufacturing of golden ornaments in Karwarian style and under developed tourism. It has a population of about 77139 .
Karwar lies on a coastal strip known as the Monsoon Coast.[9] Karwar has hot summers from March to May where the temperature may reach 37 °C. The Arabian Sea is warm throughout the year. Winters from December to February are very mild (24 °C and 32 °C). The windy monsoon period from June to September has an average rainfall of over 400 centimetres (160 in).
