Hello everyone and welcome to Kaunas - the second largest city in Lithuania. I'm so exited to make this video because I grew up in Kaunas and want to show you all what the city has to offer.
Some of the famous places are: Kaunas gothic old town and centre, Pažaislis monastery and Kaunas reservoir with a yacht club, old city funiculars, numerous museums and galleries including museum of Lithuania's most famous painter and composer M. K. Čiurlionis, and a quirky Devil's museum. In Kaunas you can also learn a lot about soviet past from its unique shops and cafes still left in the centre, and 9 fort museum which is infamous for its role in the second world war.

Pakruojis manor and district travel guide | Lithuania
Welcome to Pakruojis - the time machine to 19 century in Lithuania. While the district is small, it is very well known around the country for its large manor house - which is almost like a theme park for old times.
The manor probably best be visited during the summer, but early autumn was great as well. If you want to stay in the hotel book in advance. I got one of the smallest rooms at last minute ????

Travel to Mažeikiai - remote Samogitian land in Lithuania | Travel guide
Welcome Mažeikiai district, Lithuania, one of the furthest places to go to from Vilnius. It's worth getting there, as the district has plenty of interesting sights to see: the only in Lithuania Gramophone museum, authentic XIX century pharmacy - museum, the home of the pioneer of Lithuanian aviation, the beautiful Renavas manor house and much more!
Mažeikiai district really impressed me, even though it was so far to drive to. It took me 2 days to see all the sights and I think it would be a great addition to a trip through Samogitia, combined with the nearby Akmenė district or Samogitia capital Telšiai.

Kretinga - tropical, Japanese and Baltic in one place | Lithuania travel guide
Hello everyone and welcome to Kretinga district, the place where you can find Baltic, Japanese and tropical places to go to
Kretinga district really surprised me with its variety of parks, not only it has beautiful Salantai Regional Park, but there also is a a tropical winter garden in Kretinga manor house, a Baltic Mythology Park in the middle of the forest and one of the largest Japanese garden in Europe!
I enjoyed seeing each of these, and would definitely recommend to go there for anyone who's planning to travel close by.

1:57 Собор святых Петра и Павла (лит. Šiaulių Šv. apaštalų Petro ir Pauliaus katedra) — католическая церковь, находящаяся в городе Шяуляй, Литва.
Храм является кафедральным собором Шяуляйской епархии. Это одно из самых крупных в Литве строений эпохи ренессанса, сохранившее архитектурную цельность несмотря на позднейшие реконструкции.
Церковь святых апостолов Петра и Павла была построена в Шяуляе в период между 1617 и 1637 годами (по другим данным — между 1595 и 1625 годами). Исторические источники свидетельствуют, что епископ Юргис Тишкявичюс освятил храм 8 октября 1634 года. Предположительно, архитектурный облик здания окончательно сформировался в середине XVII века.
В июле 1880 года деревянная башня храма сгорела после удара молнии, были уничтожены механические часы. Башня была восстановлена, но утратила свою первоначальную форму. Более значительные повреждения храм получил во время Второй мировой войны, когда во время боёв в городе в 1944 году церковь была разрушена. Все внутреннее убранство было утрачено. Восстановительные работы под руководством инженера В. Крикщюнаса (лит. V. Krikščiūnas) и архитектора С. Рамуниса (лит. S. Ramunis) начались в 1945 году. В 1951—1956 гг. произведен второй этап реставрации, работы проводились Вильнюсской реставрационной мастерской. В 1974—1975 гг. по проекту архитектора А. Кунигелиса (лит. A. Kunigėlis) был построен большой алтарь, а также два боковых алтаря.
2:37 Ио́нишкис (лит. Joniškis, устар. рус. Янишки) — город на севере Литвы, на границе с Латвией; административный центр Ионишкского района и Ионишкского староства.
Город расположен в 14 км от границы с Латвией, в 253 км к северо-западу от Вильнюса, в 187 км к северу от Каунаса и в 39 км к северу от Шяуляй.
Датой основания считается 1523 или 1526 год, когда виленский епископ Ян, обнаружив в приграничной с Курляндией местности язычников, распорядился в одном из селений построить костёл и образовать приход. Селение получило название по его имени. Король Сигизмунд III Ваза привилегией от 4 июля 1616 года даровал селению магдебургские права.
В 1796 году, по переходе края к Российской империи, Ионишкис было обращено в местечко Янишки и отдано во владение князя Платона Зубова. Новые помещики обращались с жителями как с крепостными, и вследствие жалоб последних указом Правительствующего сената в 1841 году жителям были предоставлены права
вольных хлебопашцев.

Pagėgiai - what to see by the Lithuanian border next to Kaliningrad, Russia
Welcome to Pagėgiai - the gateway to Kaliningrad, Russia. This small municipality is situated right at one of the most important border points with Russia's Kaliningrad state.
As Pagėgiai is so small, there is not much to do here, but it's worth stopping at the Rambynas Regional Park if travelling in the area.
Also it is an interesting experience to go have a look at Tilžė / Tilsit / Sovetsk from the riverside and the old bridge connecting the countries.

Joniškis Church Of St. James The Apostle
The history of a church in Joniškis town in Molėtai district dates back to the first half of 18th century, when the Jesuits built the first church here. There was a parish school established at it, as well as the fraternities of the Holy Trinity and Our Lady of the Scapular, and feasts took place there. A bit later, in 1811, a new belfry was built. The present Joniškis Church was built in 1848 by the pastor Florijonas Piotrovskis and his parishioners.

Hello everyone and welcome to Klaipėda district, the outskirts of Klaipėda city, but definitely not boring!
I visited this region many times and the footage in this video is actually from a few different trips. One of the days I was really unlucky with the weather, but that didn't stop me from filming ????
There is so much to do in Klaipėda district - from the most popular sights like Olando kepurė (Dutchman's cap), Seaside Regional Park and Karklė, Dreverna resorts, to plenty of water activities, like kite surfing, sailing and more. The historical sights also weren't forgotten - Memel Nord bunker, Priekulė town and more.
Also special thanks to my sister, for some footage and pictures from her stay in Dreverna resort, which she really fell in love with during the summer.

What to do in Marijampolė, Lithuania? | Via Baltica
Welcome to Marijampolė, Lithuanian city perfect for a stop while driving through Via Baltica highway. Capital of historical Suvalkija region Marijampolė greets its visitors with an amazing synergy of old and new. City's old town is decorated with contemporary art murals from the yearly international festival Malonny. At the same time the city is famous for its Marian monastery and the basilica of St. Michael the archangel. What a contrast ????
Outside the city there also is some beautiful nature at Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve, with 2 cognitive trails available. ????????????
Unfortunately I've lost most of the footage from Bukta trail, but I promise you that it's awesome place for a walk for nature lovers! ????????????

Travel guide to provincial Kelmė district and its surprises
Hi, here's another municipality video - Kelmė district located in the west of Lithuania in the lands of Samogitia.
It was my first time visiting it and it genuinely surprised me, how beautiful and taken care of the district is. The locals were so friendly and the amount of local sights were also just too many - I enjoyed every bit of the trip.
Tytuvėnai Regional Park alone is worth staying the night to enjoy its surroundings well.

Pavargusios nuo karantino ir mokslų, 2020 vasarą išžygiavom piligriminiu taku per Lietuvą. Kelią pradėjome Joniškyje ir nors planavome pasiekti Kauną, šį kartą įveikėme kelią iki Kėdainių. Visoms tai buvo naujas nuotykis, per kurį teko ne tik sušalti, bet ir nukepti saulėje bei nutrinti pūslių, tačiau visa tai nustelbė Lietuvos kaimų ir miestelių grožis iš lėto einant 182 kilometrus...
