Steam train through central Fujian en route to Yangshuo and the Li River in Guangxi Province.
8 mm silent movie from 17-22 November 1987.

1. A steam train journey from Xiamen (厦门) to Yingtan (鹰潭) through central Fujian Province. In total a 39 h journey to Guilin (桂林). After an overnight stay a 1,5 h bus ride to Yangshuo (阳朔).
2. Moon Hill (月亮山) and the Yangshuo countryside.
3. Boat on the Li River (漓江) from Yangshuo to Fuli Old Town (福利古镇).

In this video, we will introduce one of the Japanese traditional performing arts. Which is called ― Noh.
Together with Kabuki, Noh is a unique, world‐class Japanese form of drama, whose most remarkable characteristic is that a protagonist performs wearing a mask, which is called a Noh mask.
Noh has a 650 year tradition, and it has been named as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO.
First of all, we'll briefly introduce the history of Noh. Then, we'll introduce the performing stage,
the roles of the characters, and the musical instruments used.
Baiyin #5 - The Workers Steam Train to Sanyelin
SY1047 and SY1581 share duties for the workers shuttle to Sanyelian, which runs twice a day to meet the shift change for the lead and zinc smelter. Here, we see SY1047 approaching Lingongli in the snow and then SY1581 running round the coaches in sunshine at Sanyelin before returning to Baiyin.
Baiyin Company Railway is one of three remaining standard gauge steam passenger railways left in China. All three are on borrowed and one of them only has one service a day.
It runs 5 trains a day each way between Baiyin and Shenbutong of which 3 are in daylight, just. Most shunting and freight is now done by diesel. They still use steam for the passenger trains as the diesels can't heat or power the carriages! It is only a matter of time though, but there is talk of making it a tourist line. The line is about 25 km long, serving various industrial sites in set in the hilly countryside north of Baiyin.
They have 4 working SY 2-8-2 locos, with a 5th being prepared for an overhaul. 3 are in steam daily, one working the passengers, one shunting at the depot and the 3rd spare in case.
Baiyin is located 80 Km north of Lanzhou in Gansu province.
In December 2012 (18th -- 22nd ), I saw the following locomotives:-
SY1470 -- Shenbutong Passenger Service
SY1047 -- Shunting and Sanyelian Passenger Service
SY1581 -- In steam, depot.
SY1013 -- Cold in shed.
SY1583 -- Dismantled. Awaiting overhaul.
SY1067 -- Dumped? Being used for spares for SY1583.

SWINDON STEAM GWR RAILWAY MUSEUM BRIEF TOUR 31/07/22
I went away with a couple of friends last weekend and on the Sunday 31st July 2022 we went to Swindon to visit the Steam GWR Railway Museum and this video is a brief tour of the exhibits at the museum. Swindon Railway Works closed in 1986 and in 2000 part of it was turned into a Railway Musuem, so sit back relax and enjoy the tour.
Iowa Interstate QJ Steam Train in Brooklyn, IA - August 19, 2018
The Iowa Interstate operated 5 excursion trains east out of Brooklyn Iowa on August 19, 2018 to benefit the Brooklyn Fire Department. The trains were led by IAIS Chinese steam locomotive QJ 6988. I didn't make it in time to see the first two train trips, so video is of the Noon, 1:15, and 2:00pm departure trains. Each trip was 45 minutes, with the train going past the town of Victor, then reversing with IAIS 703 leading west.
