I spent 3 weeks in the Czech Republic in search of the best places to visit. After featuring this awesome country in our Top 10 destinations for 2015 video, we needed to go and experience it for ourselves. The Czech Republic exceeded our expectations.
Prague was great, as expected, but there's so much to discover outside the big the city!. The national parks and natural reserves are incredibly beautiful.

Moravia is a historical region in the east of the Czech Republic and one of three historical Czech lands, with Bohemia and Czech Silesia.
Its area of 22,623.41 km2 is home to more than 3 million people.
The people are historically named Moravians, a subgroup of Czechs, the other group being called Bohemians.
Moravia also had been home of a large German-speaking population until their expulsion in 1945. The land takes its name from the Morava river, which runs from its north to south, being its principal watercourse. Moravia's largest city and historical capital is Brno.
Before being sacked by the Swedish army during the Thirty Years' War, Olomouc served as the Moravian capital, and it is still the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Olomouc.

Czechia's Oldest Mining Town | Jihlava
On my way back to Prague, I make a stop-off for the night in the town of Jihlava; situated in the Bohemian-Moravian highlands. A town that has piqued my curiosity for sometime, but I did not make it to during my previous visit to the Czech Republic 9 years ago.
Near to the tourist hotspot of Telc, Jihlava was a much more sleepy affair, particularly after the buzz of Brno. However, it was not without its charms and interesting sights. Even though it was a somewhat failed visit due to most of the main sights being closed, it still afforded me a more everyday insight into ordinary Czech-life.

Telc, Czech Republic: A Quick Visit to a Czech Gem
One of the most picturesque and colorful small towns in the Czech Republic, Telc is a beautiful and fairytale-like place that you're going to want to spend a few hours walking around and enjoying.
Telc is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and there are plenty of bright houses, hidden passages, quite streets and even a grand chateau that you can check out.
I spent about an hour walking around Telc but I would have loved to have had an entire day to just explore and relax in this lovely little Czech town.
