Jebel Jais peak is already renowned for being the epicentre of adventure in the United Arab Emirates and the outlying Middle East. Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RAKCCI) and RAK Leisure, the adventure and lifestyle subsidiary of RAK Hospitality Holding (RAKHH) have proudly increased its appeal by adding the thrilling Jais Sledder, operated by the Warrior Group.
The advent of the sled is not entirely known. Sweden and Norway recorded various early kicksled races during the 15th century. The modern sport of sledding originated in St Mortiz, Switzerland, in the mid-to-late 19th century, where wealthy vacationers adapted delivery sleds for recreational races. Typically sleds were developed in areas with much winter snow and used as transportation for people and materials. Early designs included hand-pulled, dog, ox and horse-drawn versions. Ancient Egyptians are thought to have used sleds on the desert sands for transporting construction materials. The adrenaline-provoking sport was added to the winter Olympic Games by Fédération Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Tobogganing (FIBT) in 2002.
The Jais Sledder sits comfortably on a low-slung track. You’ll reach up to 40 kilometres per hour as you hurtle down the Hajar mountain range swerving through glorious panoramas with views of the spectacular coastline. The speed seems amplified ten-fold because you are sitting so close to the ground. The fully-controllable ride takes about eight minutes to cover 1,840 exhilarating metres of hairpin curves and undulating waves.
The Jais Sledder is built to the highest safety and technical standards and adheres to the ISO 19202 criteria, and the latest design technology specific to planning track, design and calculation, manufacturing, build, and testing requirements for summer sledding activities. The sleds are designed to seat two people comfortably, one in front and the other in the back. You are safely secured into the sled, and each sledder has access to the braking system.
You can purchase Jais Sledder tickets in bundles of one or three from the ticket counter at the Jais Welcome Centre; don’t worry, you can always go back for more! You can choose to share the experience with a friend or a member of your family or go superhero-solo.Head to the mountains and enjoy the various thrilling and award-winning experiences, including the Jais Flight, the world’s longest zipline, Jais Sky Tour, Via Ferrata, and an overnight stay at Bear Grylls Explorers Camp. The highest restaurant in the UAE 1484 by Puro serves delicious fayre throughout the day.

In a bungee jumping accident an Australian woman Erin has survived with only minor injuries after her rope broke during an adventure sports, 111-meter bungee jump over crocodile-infested waters on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Her feet were still bound together as she hit the water and the impact broke her collarbone. Erin blacked out briefly in the water and, when she came to, she had to navigate a system of rapids before finding her way to dry land.

The Jais Sledder sits comfortably on a low-slung track. you will reach up to 40 kmh as you hurtle down the Hajar mountain range swerving through glorious panoramas with views of the spectacular coastline. the speed seems amplified ten-fold because you are sitting so close to the ground. the fully controllable ride takes about eight minutes to cover 1840 exhilarating metres of hairpin curves and undulating waves.
The jais sledder is built to the highest safety and technical standards and adheres to the ISO 19202 criteria, and the latest design technology specific to the planning track, design and calculation, manufacturing, build and testing requirements for summer sledding activities. the sleds are designed to seat two people comfortably, one in front and the other in the back. you are safely secured into the sled, and each sledder has access to the braking system.

Terms and Conditions:
o Guests must be minimum of 3 years old
o Guests less than 135 cm in height must ride as a passenger and must be accompanied by an adult (driver) who is at least 135 cm tall.
o Guests 135 cm and taller may ride as an individual or together with another guest (each guest needs an individual ticket).
o The combined weight of driver and passenger cannot exceed 150 kgs, and riders must be able to wear the seatbelt correctly.
o Guests under the influence of any form of drug or alcohol are not permitted to participate in this activity.
o This activity is restricted for those who are
(a) pregnant or think they may be pregnant or with the following medical conditions:
(b) a heart condition, (c) seizure condition, (d) history of back or neck injury, or (e) any other medical condition that prevents the guest from following the safety rules and guidelines.
o Drivers or passengers are not permitted to touch the track.
o Drivers are not permitted to stop the sled on the track unless in the case of an emergency.
o Drivers are required to maintain a minimum distance of 25 metres from the sled ahead.
o No backpacks or bags, animals, umbrellas, bulky, pointed, or loose objects are allowed on the ride. No food or gum is allowed on the ride.
o Before beginning the ride, all loose clothing and hair below shoulder length must be secured.
o For the entire duration of the ride, participants must have seat belts on, remain seated and keep their arms and legs inside the sled.
o Guests who purchase tickets for three rides need to complete all the rides in one single day
o Jais Adventure Park retains the right to change/close rides at any time due to weather, wildlife, capacity or force majeure.
o All participants are required to sign a waiver. A parent or guardian will need to sign a waiver for participants under 18 years old.
o All further terms and conditions that apply to this ticket can be found on the website.
Driver requirements:
o At least 135 cm tall.
o Must be physically capable of maintaining a seated position and using safety restraints.
o Ability to follow all verbal and written directions.
o Ability to visually recognize the sled in front of them to maintain a safe following distance.
o Ability to operate brake levers to control the sled’s speed.
o The combined weight of the riders (maximum of two) per sled cannot exceed 150 kgs.
Passenger requirements:
o Minimum of 3 years old.
o Passengers should be capable of holding onto the front handle while the sled is in motion.
What to wear
Comfortable attire with no loose clothing (eg. Scarfs). It is mandatory to wear flat shoes to take the ride.
Recording your experience
Whilst it is prohibited to carry your mobile phone or camera on the ride, you can hire a camera from the team on-site and purchase your video.
Weather conditions
We reserve the right to cancel the rides or make any operational changes considered necessary for safety or operational concerns. The weather in Ras Al Khaimah is usually consistent, but there can be rare sand or rainstorms.
Changing the booking
We understand that sometimes there is an unavoidable change of plans and will accommodate amendments and cancellations without penalty for 30 days from the day of booking, if contacted 48 hours prior to the experience.

Jebel Al Jais is the tallest mountain in UAE. It has an elevation of 1934 Meters and belongs to the Hajjar Mountain ranges.
If you love driving on the curvy mountain roads, this is a must visit place in UAE. Driving up and down will be a thrilling experience. To enjoy the fullest of it, you should chose a manual vehicle.
The weather on top of the mountain should be chilling now and it recorded minus 3 degrees few days back.
If you want to avoid the crowd, the best time to go there is early morning. If you would like to do camping over there, you can do that as well. I have seen many people camping there whenever I went there in the midnight or early mornings. In addition to the camping, some adventurous activities are available there such as Jais sledder, Zipline (world's longest Zipline), hiking, etc.
The roads are in immaculate condition now. So you can even go there by a small car (you don't need a 4X4).
If you choose to go in the evenings of weekends or holidays, better do not go to the topmost parking area, rather find a parking somewhere below and walk up to the top. On weekend evenings you may not even find a place to turn your car.
If you want to enjoy the place, better go there early morning.

Jaisalmer is in the heart of Thar Desert also known as Golden City. It is distinguished by its yellow sandstone architecture.
The fort Known as Golden Fort is believed to be very few among the world where people still lives. Around 1/4th of the population of the city lives in the fort. We also booked our room which was in the fort with beautiful view of the city.
Gadsisar is the lake which is in Jaisalmer and is in middle of the desert.
Camps and Desert Safari are at Sam Desert which is around 50 kms from the city.
You can also visit Tanot Mata and Longewala.
