वैसे तो दक्षिण भारत मे स्थापत्य कला के बेजोड़ एक से एक नमूने स्थापित है । आइये इस बार आपको एक नई जगह लेकर चलते है। दक्षिण भारत के नवगठित राज्य तेलंगाना के करीमनगर जिले के वेमुलावाडा नामक कस्बे के पास एक ऐसा ही अनोखा मंदिर स्थापित है यकीन के साथ कह सकता हूं आपने ऐसा मंदिर पहले नहीं देखा होगा ।
मंदिर अपने आप मे बेहद ही अनूठा है। पूरा मंदिर एक ऊँची पहाड़ी पर स्थित है। भक्तों को कुछ 100 सीढ़ियां चढ़कर पहले तो ऊपर आना होता है । फिर यहां से एक सर्पाकार सुरंग जैसी संरचना के अंदर दाखिल होना होता है। यह किसी सांप के पेट के अंदर चलने जैसा है। इस यात्रा के दौरान आपको भगवान कृष्ण की लीलाओं के बारे में काफी कुछ जानने को मिलता है। रास्ते में काफी सारी कृष्ण बाल लीलाओं से संबंधित मूर्तियां भी मिलती हैं ।
The temple lies amid the lush green hills of Telangana and falls on the path leading to the hilltop shrine, the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple. The Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is within a walking distance of around 15 minutes from the Vemulawada – Karimnagar highway. On the head of the snake temple, there is a statue of Lord Krishna. The temple would remind one of the tale of Lord Krishna dancing on the head of the demon serpent Kaliya. This shrine is at a distance of around 150 kilometres from Hyderabad.
Interestingly, the entry to the temple is through the abdomen of the snake. The snake sits in a curled-up position and visitors can walk through the serpentine tunnel with statues of mythological figures on both sides.
