We are hiking the Barranca de Huentitan in Jalisco, Mexico on this final episode of our Guadalajara Series and this was probably our favorite adventure of them all!
The Barranca de Huentitan is a massive canyon that literally borders the municipality of Guadalajara and is a very popular spot with locals for exercise and recreation. However, you won't find an awful lot of tourists here which made it a very local experience which we loved!

Guadalajara es una ciudad mexicana, capital del estado de Jalisco, así como principal localidad del área urbana denominada Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara. Se localiza en el occidente de México, al centro de Jalisco, en la zona geográfica conocida como Valle de Atemajac.
Su territorio delimita al norte con los municipios de Zapopan e Ixtlahuacán del Río; al oriente con Tonalá y Zapotlanejo; al sur con Tlaquepaque y al poniente con Zapopan. La Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara (integrada por 8 municipios de Jalisco) agrupa un total de 4 434 252 habitantes,7 siendo la segunda más poblada del país, después de la Zona Metropolitana de la Ciudad de México,8 y la novena aglomeración urbana más grande de Latinoamérica.

Guadalajara es la capital del estado Mexicano de Jalisco y forma parte de la zona conurbada más grande e importante del estado. Es la tercera urbe más grande de México y su riqueza cultural es enorme.
Nos dimos a la tarea de traerte los diez lugares más representativos de la ciudad enfocándonos en el centro histórico en dónde un día no basta para descubrirlo todo.
Nuestro conteo consta de los siguientes lugares emblemáticos de la ciudad:
La catedral de Guadalajara
La plaza de armas
La rotonda de los jaliscienses Ilustres
El teatro Degollado
El mercado de san Juan
El hospicio Cabañas
La plaza tapatía
La plazuela de los Mariachis
La plaza de la liberación
y por último y aunque no esta en el centro decidimos incluir en el conteo La Minerva que es un ícono de la ciudad.
