MONTE ISOLA
In Monte Isola, one of the largest islands of European lakes, you can find narrow alleys, stone houses, and colorful boats.
LOVERE
Lovere is absolutely among the most beautiful villages in Italy.
Do not miss the fifteenth-century Basilica of S. Maria in Valvendra, the Civic Tower, and Galleria dell’Accademia Tadini, with works by Canova.
ISEO, SARNICO AND PISOGNE
Along with Lovere, Iseo, Sarnico and Pisogne are the main towns of Lake Iseo.
Iseo is the tourist capital of the lake, and still seems like a medieval village with alleys and tower houses.
Pisogne, on the northeastern shore of the lake, is the meeting point between the lake and the mountains.
Sarnico is on the southern shore of the lake and hosts some elegant Liberty villas by the architect Sommaruga.

L’ottava puntata stagionale di Borghi d'Italia ci porta in Molise e precisamente a Fornelli (Isernia). Il comune, inserito negli itinerari dei borghi più belli d’Italia e nelle città dell'olio, mostra ancora le caratteristiche di borgo cinto da mura con torri circolari di vedetta. Il castello, ristrutturato nel XVII-XVIII secolo, si presenta come un palazzetto fortificato con due torri laterali e un portale monumentale di accesso al paese. Nel corso del programma incontriamo il sindaco, il parroco e gli altri protagonisti della vita cittadina. Visitiamo il centro storico, edificato in pietra viva, la chiesa Madre, le altre chiese e lo storico frantoio intitolato a San Pietro Martire. Inoltre presentiamo i piatti tradizionali, i dolci tipici e l’eccellente olio locale. Poi scopriamo, le manifestazioni, il dialetto, ma soprattutto la Piccola Bottega di Fornelli, un macro allevamento di asini che nasce dall’idea di dare nuova luce a questo splendido animale, utilizzato nella pet therapy (onoterapia) ma anche in programmi di benessere o ludico – didattici per le scuole, campi estivi, etc.
