Es conocida como la Capital Mundial de la Fresa porque su principal actividad económica es precisamente la producción de la fresa. Debido a su cercanía con el Aeropuerto Internacional del Bajío, con otras ciudades industriales y destinos turísticos del estado, es un excelente punto para alojarse y moverse en la zona con facilidad.
Nos hospedamos en el Hotel Galería Plaza Irapuato, que es muy nuevo, moderno y confortable. A unos 15 minutos del Centro Histórico de Irapuato, a media hora de Guanajuato capital y León. Y a menos de una hora de la zona arqueológica Plazuelas y la tequilera Corralejo.

Authentic Guanajuato Mexico Street Food Tour | Best Hole in the Wall Spots
In this Authentic Guanajuato Street Food Tour we search for the most traditional, hidden gem, hole in the wall restaurants and food stands. Guanajuato is known for a few traditional dishes: Tacos Al Vapor, Guacamaya, Tacos de Cabeza, and Enchiladas Mineras. We end the night with shots of Mezcal. The first food cart we go to is Tacos Al Vapor El Jaguar for tacos al vapor. Next up is Guacamaya at a food cart (with no name) in front of the Mercado Hidalgo. Third may be our favorite tacos ever at Paisa 2 and lastly enchiladas mineras at Enchiladas De Lupe.

Guanajuato is a city in central Mexico. It's known for its silver mining history and colonial architecture. Its network of narrow streets, alleyways and tunnels is typified by the Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss), so named because the balconies are close enough for a couple to reach across and kiss. In a former granary, the Alhóndiga de Granaditas is an art and local history museum with pre-Columbian exhibits.
