Frankfurt, a central German city on the river Main, is a major financial hub that's home to the European Central Bank. It's the birthplace of famed writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, whose former home is now the Goethe House Museum. Like much of the city, it was damaged during World War II and later rebuilt. The reconstructed Altstadt (Old Town) is the site of Römerberg, a square that hosts an annual Christmas market.
Germany is a Western European country with a landscape of forests, rivers, mountain ranges and North Sea beaches. It has over 2 millennia of history. Berlin, its capital, is home to art and nightlife scenes, the Brandenburg Gate and many sites relating to WWII. Munich is known for its Oktoberfest and beer halls, including the 16th-century Hofbräuhaus. Frankfurt, with its skyscrapers, houses the European Central Bank.

I was delighted to visit the beautiful and historic town of Idstein, Germany. The historical Altstadt (Old Town) is considered one of the most well-preserved half-timbered towns in Germany. This historic district is home to a variety of buildings dating back to the 16th century.
König-Adolf-Platz, Idstein's Central Square, includes Das Schiefe Haus (crooked house), the Rathaus (city hall), the Kanzleitor (castle's gatehouse), and the Hexenturm, or Witches Tower.

In this video I take you to Idstein in Germany. Idstein is a town of about 25,000 inhabitants in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis in the Regierungsbezirk of Darmstadt in Hesse, Germany.
Because of its well preserved historical Altstadt (Old Town) it is part of the Deutsche Fachwerkstraße (German Timber-Frame Road), connecting towns with fine fachwerk buildings and houses. In 2002, the town hosted the 42nd Hessentag state festival.

Idstein ist eine schöne, kleine Stadt am Taunus zwischen Limburg und Frankfurt und gut mit der Bahn oder über die Autobahn zu erreichen. Idstein zeichnet sich durch seine wirklich einzigartige Altstadt aus, vor allem bietet der 42 Meter hohe Hexenturm einen unglaublichen Blick über die Stadt und auf das Schloss so wie den zugehörigen Garten.
