惠州西湖面积辽阔，湖岸弯环曲折，湖上洲屿点缀、三面青山环抱。湖泊东西最宽处达4公里，南北最长达6公里，面积最大时有10平方公里，湖区面积约80平方公里。在烟波浩淼的湖面上，堤桥如带，把湖面分割成五大部分，素有“五湖六桥”之称。北宋大文学家苏东坡赞惠州“山水秀邃”。这里是广东著名的5A级国家风景名胜区和旅游胜地。

据张友仁的《惠州西湖志》说：“东汉时，湖上犹有狼虎居之，无所谓湖也。”那时。湖区一带大概还是一片狼虎出没的草丛洼地。但到公元三一八年东晋元帝时，“兴建龙兴寺于湖上”（《惠州府志》），可见东晋时湖已形成。唐代在惠州筑开元寺，北宋余靖写的《开元寺记》中描写这一带风景：“重山复岭，隐映岩谷，长谿带幡，湖光相照”。从这些历史记载推断，惠州西湖大概成于东汉后、东晋前这一历史时期。

On October 22, 2009, Xiangyun was listed on the list (Gaobang Mountain), Yuta Weilan (Sizhou Tower), West Lake Suji (Dongpo Garden · Sudi), Fengzhu Xiaogan (Fengzhu Garden), Bihu Shuxiang (Fengzhu Garden) Lake Academy), Liudan Diancui (Diancuizhou) and other scenic spots were selected as Top Ten Scenic Spots in Huizhou.
On October 30, 2018, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Huizhou West Lake Scenic Area was promoted to a 5A-level scenic spot. With six lakes, nine bridges and eighteen scenes, it has become the second 5A-level scenic spot in Huizhou after Luofu Mountain Scenic Spot.
Huizhou West Lake covers a vast area, with twists and turns on the shore of the lake, dotted with islets on the lake, and surrounded by green mountains on three sides. The widest point of the lake is 4 kilometers from east to west, and the longest from north to south is 6 kilometers. The largest area is 10 square kilometers, and the lake area is about 80 square kilometers. On the lake with vast smoke and waves, the dykes and bridges divide the lake into five parts, known as five lakes and six bridges. Su Dongpo, a great writer of the Northern Song Dynasty, praised Huizhou for its beautiful landscapes. It is a famous 5A-level national scenic spot and tourist attraction in Guangdong.

In the Tang Dynasty, Kaiyuan Temple was built in Huizhou, and Yu Jing of the Northern Song Dynasty wrote the Record of Kaiyuan Temple to describe the scenery of this area: Chongshan complex mountains, hidden rock valleys, long streams with flags, and lakes and lakes. From these historical records, it can be inferred that Huizhou West Lake probably formed in the historical period after the Eastern Han Dynasty and before the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

水东街位于惠州市中心区域、东平半岛双江交汇处、北临东江、西靠惠州西湖风景名胜区；联动周边合江楼、铁炉湖、东坡祠等历史文化景点，街道全长730米，建有划一的骑楼，使整街两边成两条长廊。数十年前惠州的工商业都集中在水东街，水东街因此被称为“旺地”。
经过近年的改造，如今水东街已经成为了步行街道，集合了文旅、美食、网红打卡于一身，人们可以肆无忌惮地畅游这一片区域，而无需顾虑会有过往的车辆，安心地欣赏沿途的风光，品尝路边店铺的美食。

演达大道为惠南大道的一部分，经由十二届50次惠州市政府常务会议决定，将惠州市区内“惠南大道”分别更名为“演达大道”和“叶挺大道”（2018年）。
为更好地纪念当地历史名人、传承和宏扬惠州历史文化，经十二届50次惠州市政府常务会议决定，将惠州市区内“惠南大道”分段更名为“演达大道”和“叶挺大道”。
演达大道位于惠州市中心繁华地段，连接下埔麦地商圈和金山湖片区，贯穿中心城区。随着城市的发展，演达大道成为市中心交通主要脉络，横跨三环路。为了缓解路口交通，演达大道于2012年6月28日正式开通了演达大道三环路立交桥的建设，打通了市中心区到惠州南部新城的脉络。
北起惠城区河南岸街道冷水坑(即四环南路天桥)，南至原惠南大道与三栋镇演达路交叉处。

无意中路过此地，外面看着灯光挺漂亮的，进去不拍照，不吃东西的话，10分钟就能逛完。
广东惠州33号青年公路街区, 位于惠州市人流最旺的河南岸商圈, 港惠新天地路口对面, 是一个旧制衣厂房改造的青年人文创街区，是首个以青年潮流为主题的工业旅游街区。
以前，这里原本是一片二三十年前的老旧厂房，高高制衣厂。但是，与传统的旧厂改造项目不同，33号青年公路街区，不仅仅是简单地将旧厂房翻新，而是更加注重构建文化内核，打造可持续发展的青年文化生态圈。
33号街区为自己定位的目标群体很清晰，就是要拉拢年轻人来这里拍照打卡。看看改造后的整体环境和最被大家津津乐道的斩女色调。看了图片，大家知道啥叫斩女色调了不？33号的一大亮点就是这种新奇好玩的场景设置。
比如这座北欧风马卡龙色工坊，其实是隐藏在楼层间的浮空市集，原本老旧的外墙面现在包裹上了糖果色，再加上一排排造型独特的穹顶设计，让人一眼难忘哟，“勾引”了无数少女心的姑娘们前来打卡拍照，所以叫做斩女色调！
其实，33号青年公路街区共设置了公路商店、国潮青年公园和北欧色彩工坊三个主题板块。既然要吸引年轻人，招商引资方面创新性的引入了篮球滑板、户外攀岩、音乐街舞、刺青涂鸦等多种青年文体业态。
还有，备受后浪们喜爱的密室逃脱，剧本杀游戏，也必不可少啊，和好友约上一波，来场脑力、演技大PK，毕竟人生在世全靠演技啊!
走在33号街区，能分明得感受到青年街头文化！33号，是个集街头生活、餐饮美食、美学美业、极限运动、潮牌服饰、公园剧场等多个业态板块，混搭于此的潮流文化聚集地。

惠州西湖国家风景名胜区地处广东省东南部惠州市惠城中心区， 由西湖景区和红花湖景区组成，总面积20.91平方公里，其中水域面积3.13平方公里，是以素雅幽深的山水为特征、以历史文化为底蕴、以休闲和观光为主要功能的国家级风景名胜区和国家AAAAA级旅游景区。 其山川秀邃、幽胜曲折、浮洲四起、青山似黛，古色古香的亭台楼阁隐现于树木葱茏之中，景域妙在天成，有“苎萝西子”、“岭南明珠”之美誉，并有“大中国西湖三十六，唯惠州足并杭州” 的史载。历代以苏东坡、李商隐、杨万里、祝枝山、陈尧佐、白玉蟾、梁鼎芬、丘逢甲为代表的400多位文人墨客曾踏足惠州，为西湖留下了宝贵的文化遗产；近代孙中山、周恩来等领导人在惠州从事过革命运动，在西湖留下了光辉的足迹。这些历史古迹和革命胜迹与西湖的青山秀水融为一体，相得益彰。
丰渚园位于广东惠州西湖平湖湖区西北角，三面环水，北隔36米宽鳄湖路与菱湖相望。丰渚园是广东具有岭南建筑特色的园区，园区通过对西湖历史文化、人文景观的挖掘，营造富有文化内涵、充满诗情画意的岭南古典式园林。
丰渚园作为西湖美化亮化工程的一个重要组成部分，致力打造成继梁园、可园、余荫园和清晖园之后的“广东第五大名园”。园内29个单体建筑采用岭南传统建筑风格，融合惠州民居院落特色，粉墙黛瓦，古朴素雅。该园面积3万平方米，分为6大观景区：主入口区、知鱼区、文化怡情区、孤桐馆区、流香听瀑区和东坞荷香区。该园按照古建筑标准建设成一流的园林景区，让人们在观鸟、观鱼、赏荷、赏奇木怪石中，领略生态文化；在文人墨客的诗赋才情、孝悌之义中汲取人文素养；以琴韵茶香为友，以诗书画论为伴，陶冶艺术修养；还有农业生活用品展示农耕文化，是惠民之州的又一个惠民工程，是一个文化休闲的好去处。丰渚园
园林的名字，也是有所来历的。丰渚园，丰，西湖原来叫做丰湖，因湖中物产丰富，湖水可以灌溉农田，给居民带来丰裕收获而得名；渚，水中小块陆地，小洲曰渚。还有一种说法：丰渚是丰山前的小洲。古时曾有丰渚亭，早倾圮。后重建为纪念江逢辰筑“江孝子亭”，亭畔遍莳荷花故称荷花亭，后在荷花亭旧址上扩大重建，并筑岭南园林，称丰渚园。
丰渚，旧时名为鲇鱼墩，原是平湖西北一小屿。渚上有亭，名丰渚亭（已废）。民国时期改建为江孝子亭，《吴记》载，1916年南海盛景熙、梁志文、邑人李岱青为江逢辰筑；新中国成立后，1962年西湖建设委员会为恢复丰渚的园林风景，在原江孝子亭旧址重建一座砖木结构仿古亭，亭周筑池，广植荷花，夏日花开绕亭，与亭相映生辉，故称“荷花亭”。后来的荷花亭是1979年按原样重建。
丰渚原来面积很小，处于平、鳄、菱三湖之间，四面环水，风景优美。1979年西湖管理委员会为挖掘风景资源，扩大旅游景点，在丰渚西北推土筑堤，将丰渚与桃花溪一片绿地连成整体，将原来不足2000平方米的丰渚景点扩大到26000平方米（含部分水域）。1987年，西湖建设委员会又在荷花亭东南湖畔，增建了两组以亭、台、轩、榭为主题的湖面建筑（观鱼轩、观荷榭），使整个丰渚园景点的园景趋于完善。
