We were there for a month and did many things such as horn park, Innsbruck, hiking, and more, and still didn't get to all the fun things one can do in the area with kids. Let us know if you have any suggestions! We visited Salzburg in winter and missed Vienna entirely, so we'll head back one day to see the Eastern part of the country.

Located in Tirol in southern Austria, Alpbachtal & Wildschönau (pronounced Wilt-sher-now) are two of those places that fly under the radar. You won’t see them in any “Top 10 Places to Visit Before You Die” listicles, but that’s what makes them both amazing places to visit.
In the summer everywhere you look is bathed in green. For me, this is what Tirol and Austria is all about!

Join us on a walk in the Kitzbüheler Alps at the highest mountain with the steepest routes. You can get up to the Restaurant Alpenhaus at 1,670 meters via the Alpine Road or to Kitzbüheler Horn at 2,000 meters with the cable car – many visitors hang out in this area as there is lots to see and do and the trail is lovely. Whether it is a stroll on the kids climbing path, discovering the alpine flower garden or as a starting point for panoramic hiking tours just like in this video:
The Kitzbüheler Horn is a very impressive summit which you can see from the valley and far away due to the iconic Kitzbüheler Horn Transmitter Tower that rises 102 meters high right at the summit.
Discover the world of Alpine flora at the “Alpine Flower Garden” – watch closely, you can even see a Edelweiss at 10:47

The walk starts on a sunny green mountain hill, close to the mountain top of the Kitzbühler Horn. When reaching the top the mountain is engulfed in a thick cloud turning the environment into a foggy dreamy place. There is also some leftover snow.
