This beautiful waterfall is located in the Aabachschlucht near Horgen close to the Lake Zurich and can be reached on a short hike. The drop height of this small but very beautiful waterfall is about 10 meters.

Beautiful SWISS VILLAGE in northern Zürich Switzerland
Welcome to an often-unnoticed village that is so typically SWISS that you should consider visiting it! It lays in the northern part of the Canton of Zürich and it’s called Marthalen. Some people say, it is one of the most beautiful villages of Switzerland. It charms with its many wood frame houses. Marthalen has many beautiful streets and alleys to be explored. When roaming around, you will notice that Marthalen is really full of these many wood frame houses; something that this village is known for. Marthalen is typically Swiss but not a touristy village, until now it remains calm and quiet, thus perfect for people who love to take it easy. Marthalen is humble, but has many restaurants to dine at. Thus, consider trying the local food. Marthalen also has a local museum that opens every first Sunday of each month. The museum showcases much about the local farmer culture and the interior of a traditional house of northern Switzerland. Also, Marthalen can be perfectly combined with two great nearby attractions. The Rhine falls (Rheinfall) are Europe’s highest river waterfalls and are only 10 minutes away from Marthalen. The Rhine falls are great, because you can take various boat rides to get very close to the waterfall. Then, there is also the village of Rheinau that charms with its beautiful monastery. The island with the monastery is a very serene spot, perfect for relaxation and picnics. Definitely, when visiting Marthalen, you can perfectly combine it with some highlights of northern Switzerland.

The Zürichsee-Fähre Horgen–Meilen, or Horgen–Meilen car ferry, is a Swiss car ferry that operates across Lake Zurich between the lakeside towns of Horgen and Meilen. The ferry route is situated 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) south of the city of Zurich, and the ferry avoids a round trip by road of some 30 kilometres (19 mi) by road via that city.
Ferries operate from early morning to late evening, every 10 minutes throughout the day, with frequencies increasing to every 6 or 7 minutes in peak periods. The crossing time is 10 minutes.

Lake Zurich is formed by the river Linth, which rises in the glaciers of the Glarus Alps and was diverted by the Escher canal (completed in 1811) into Lake Walen from where its waters are carried to the east end of Lake Zurich by means of the Linth canal (completed in 1816). The waters of the Lake of Zurich flow out of the lake at its north-west end (Quaibrücke), passing through the city of Zürich; however, the outflow is then called the Limmat.[2] The culminating point of the lake's drainage basin is the Tödi at 3,614 metres above sea level.[3]
No streams of importance flow into the lake besides the Linth.[2] The Seedamm, a partially artificial causeway and bridge, crosses a narrow point of the lake carrying a railway line and road from Rapperswil to Pfäffikon. The eastern section of the lake is known as the Obersee (upper lake). West of this dam lie the small islands of Lützelau and Ufenau, where in 1523 Ulrich von Hutten took refuge and died. Both shores are well cultivated and fertile.[2] Another tourist destination is the Au peninsula at the village of Au between Wädenswil and Horgen.
