CANON | Are YOU Brave Enough? Oaxaca, Mexico ???????? | Canon EOS R6

A cinematic travel video of Oaxaca, Mexico about the importance of travel and cultural experiences. I shot this last week while travelling through Oaxaca. We went from the coast to the mountains and got to experience everything from local activities, to parades to food and more. It was amazing.

We started in Puerto Escondido, then made our way up to Oaxaca City where we did day trips to Hierve del Agua, Mitla, Tule Tree and a few other spots. We also took the time to really enjoy the city itself. Oaxaca City is a colourful and vibrant little town with a lot to offer. We tried Oaxacan food at nice restaurants (yummy but not our favourite) and lots of street food.

It was really on the last day, where we happened across this huge parade full Mexican traditions where I felt inspired to make this video.

Travel with me to Oaxaca and see why I travel and why you should too. Enjoy!

Oaxaca Coast Drone Footage (Soundtrack: Pacific Turbulence)

A compilation of drone shots I recorded along the pacific coast of Oaxaca State in southern Mexico. The video features views from Zipolite, Mazunte, Puerto Escondido, Puerto Angel, La Ventanilla, and Laguna del Palmar.

The soundtrack (Pacific Turbulence) is of my own composition. If you like it, you may add it on:

Hierve el Agua [Oaxaca, México] (2021)

Hierve el Agua—“the water boils” in Spanish—is one of only two petrified waterfalls in the world. The bubbling, hardened mineral deposits are shaped like two cascading rock formations, making the site one of Mexico’s most captivating natural attractions.

There is no direct bus from Oaxaca de Juárez to Hierve el Agua.

To get to Hierve el Agua from Oaxaca de Juárez we have to first take a truck (bus) to the town of Mitla, this transport leaves from the Eduardo Vasconcelos Baseball Stadium located on Av. Niños Héroes de Chapultepec, located about 10 minutes away from the Historic Center of Oaxaca, the ticket has a cost of $ 18 Mexican pesos per person and the trip to Mitla takes about 50 minutes.

* From there you can also take a shared taxi, it costs $ 25 Mexican pesos per person.

When you get to Mitla, you ask the driver to drop you off at the bus stop where the vans go directly to Hierve el Agua, there it is necessary to wait until the quota is full (6 or 8 people), so if you go alone or as a couple you should wait a while to complete the quota.

The journey from Mitla to Hierve el Agua takes approximately 45 minutes and the ticket has a cost of $ 75 Mexican pesos per person.

Thanks for watching!
