“Los primeros pasos de Cortés” es una de las regiones turísticas más bonitas de Veracruz pues abarca varios municipios llenos de historia, naturaleza y rica gastronomía.
En este viaje conocí lugares emblemáticos del Puerto de Veracruz como San Juan de Ulúa, el café La Parroquia, el museo naval, el malecón y el baluarte de Santiago.
Después fui a Boca Del Río donde recorrí el Museo Municipal de la Moneda, el Museo del Pirata, el Museo Patria y Libertad y probé el rico torito.
Visité la Isla de Enmedio en donde me sorprendió lo cristalina que es el agua y los peces que pude observar mientras hacía snorkel.
El último día fui a Chachalacas en donde practiqué sandboard en sus hermosas dunas y para finalizar fui a la Antigua en donde las atracciones principales son la primera capilla construida por los españoles y la casa de Cortés.

The Port of Veracruz, Mexico, is known for its beaches and its a place where mexicans like to vacation.
I spent one evening in Veracruz visiting El Gran Cafe de La Parroquia, Mercado de Artesanias, Faro Venustiano Carranza, strolling along el Malecon, and going to El Zocalo, or Los Portales in Veracruz, Mexico.
I enjoyed watching the long tradition of dancing Danzon, by the elegant couples there, accompanied by live music.
It was a quick stop for just one day in Veracruz, but there are definitely many things to do in Veracruz that I would have loved to check out.

Zocalo de Alvarado, Veracruz
Recorrido por el centro historico de Alvarado, Veracruz.
Antes de la llegada de los españoles el poblado era llamado por los nativos Atlizintla. El nombre quiere decir junto al agua abundante, pues el lugar se encontraba al suroeste de la península que se forma entre la desembocaudra del Río Papaloapan y el sistema de lagunas sobre el Golfo de México. A la llegada de los españoles se le nombró Alvarado, en nombre del conquistador Pedro de Alvarado. Hacia 1600 el poblado era conocido como San Cristóbal de Alvarado, en honor al Santo patrón del pueblo. No se encontró una fecha exacta, aunque a partir de comienzos del siglo XX la ciudad era ampliamente conocida sólo como Alvarado.

On the other side of the Gulf of Mexico you can find the state Veracruz in Mexico! It is hardly known for international tourist travels. It is basically an unmarked beauty with treasures for pirates to be found. This fruitful paradise is hardly touched by anyone but by the local fisherman receiving their daily catch. This place was magical when I traveled there in my Mexico Travels in 2009. If you think anything in life is not possible think again!
