City in Germany
Aachen is a spa city near Germany’s borders with Belgium and the Netherlands. Aachen Cathedral was founded around 800 A.D. and a Gothic chancel was added later.
Its Domschatzkammer (treasury) has medieval artifacts including the shrine of Charlemagne, who was buried here in 814 A.D. Nearby is the baroque town hall, Aachener Rathaus, with 19th-century frescoes. Sulfurous water fills the fountains of Elisenbrunnen.

Effelder Waldsee Wassenberg Heinsberg North Rhine-Westphalia, ???????? Germany Walking Tour 2021
Effeld is a western district of the city of Wassenberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Heinsberg, right on the border with the Netherlands in the Rur Valley.
Effelder Waldsee
To the east of the village lies the Effelder Forest, which is followed by the Ophovener Forest. At the northern exit of the village, in the direction of Vlodrop, Netherlands, is the Effelder Waldsee with an outdoor swimming pool and a campsite. The Schaagbach flows through Effeld and the Rur to the west of the village.

Here we have a video we have put together from our trip to Aachen in Germany. This pretty little German city is on the border with the Netherlands & Belgium, and is home to one of UNESCO's first World Heritage Sites - it's Cathedral.
We give a few 'must-see's', places to visit, things to do, a something you must try. We loved our time in the city and would love to head back at Christmas.

Aachen in 5 minutes ???? Aachen Cathedral, Printen & Tri-border area
Aachen is one of our top 10 cities in Germany and worth a visit. Aachen Cathedral is world-famous. And so are the tasty Printen. Aachen is located at the border triangle of Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. Because of this location, you can feel Europe everywhere you go. We are theTravellers and show you Aachen in 5 minutes.
We start our Aachen tour at the city hall. It's worth taking a look inside. We continue to the Centre Charlemange city museum. On the way through the old town we eat some Printen. We pass the Elisenbrunnen - another landmark of Aachen. A little further out of town is the Lousberg. From here you have a view of the city from above.
If you're in Aachen for the weekend or even longer, e.g. for ERASMUS at rwth Aachen, it's worth taking a day trip to Monschau and the border triangle.

Ein Tag in Aachen | WDR Reisen
Die alte Kaiserstadt Aachen liegt im Dreiländereck von Deutschland, Niederlande und Belgien. Karl der Große hat sie sehr geprägt. Vor allem verdanken die Aachener ihm den Dom. Daneben entdeckt Lisa Kestel auf ihrem Rundgang aber auch Thermalquellen, Printenbäcker, Studentenkneipen und viele andere wunderschöne Ecken. Sie beendet den Ausflug im Stadtwald mit einem Begleiter auf vier Hufen.

Ten kanał prowadzimy co prawda od ponad 5 lat ale tak naprawdę w Roku 2018 przeszedł całkowity RESET i uzyskał nową formułę. Od 2 lat, gdy zostawiliśmy nasze życie na etacie, podróżujemy, filmujemy, piszemy, jesteśmy poza domem przez połowę roku przynajmniej - to nasz sposób na życie i praca.
Chcemy (tak jak na blogu) w naszych vlogach i filmach pokazywać nieco ambitniejsze podejście do podróżowania: łączyć ciekawostki podróżnicze, geograficzne, historyczne z informacjami praktycznymi. Aachen is well known for being home to the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Germany - Aachen Cathedral.

Aachen has been around for millennia. The Romans nursed their war wounds and stiff joints in the steaming waters of its mineral springs, but it was Charlemagne who put the city firmly on the European map. The emperor, too, enjoyed a dip now and then, but it was more for strategic reasons that he made Aachen the geographical and political capital of his vast Frankish Empire in 974 – arguably the first empire with European dimensions.

For my work, I lived in Heimbach Germany for about six months. Heimbach is located in the beautiful Eifel nature reserve. From the Rursee to forests and sunflower fields. From summer to winter this nature remains beautiful every season. A visit to Cologne and Monchau is highly recommended. Cologne is a very nice shopping city with a beautiful cathedral. Monchau is a very small village with beautiful old german architecture.
i worked at Dormio resort eifeler tor. This beautiful resort overlooks the woods and the Rur. It was a very nice experience to live here.
