The Netherlands is a densely populated country in part reclaimed from the sea with about half of its land lying below sea level. Many tourist only come to the Netherlands to visit Amsterdam. But Holland has plenty to offer outside its capital. Crisscrossed with canals, the flat landscape is perfect for cycling with historic town centers and classic windmills sprinkled across the country. During springtime the flower gardens become great tourist attractions providing a bold spectacle of vivid colors. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in the Netherlands.

500 abonnees
Een dikke week geleden ben ik de 500 abonnees op mijn kanaal gepasseerd, geweldig! Dank aan iedere abonnee, iedereen die wel eens of erg vaak reageert op mijn filmpjes, het wordt enorm gewaardeerd.
Sinds anderhalf jaar deel ik mijn filmpjes via het gastenboek van Klompenpaden en via verschillende groepen op Facebook. In die anderhalf jaar is mijn kanaal gegroeid van 15 naar 500+ abonnees. Het is dus hoog tijd voor weer eens een special.

Iedere keer wanneer ik een klompenpad loop probeer ik aan het pad een waardering te hangen. Voor mezelf heb ik 10 criteria op een rijtje gezet die ik zelf belangrijk vind bij een wandeling. Dat die criteria niet altijd op elk moment even objectief zijn besef ik ook, het weer speelt mee, je eigen gevoel die dag, je fitheid enz enz. Wanneer ik het gastenboek van de klompenpaden lees zijn de klompenpaden uit mijn top-10 wel absolute toppers.

'Trage Tochten zijn wandelingen door natuur, boerenland en stad. Met deze wandelroutes van 5 tot 22 km wandel je zoveel mogelijk over onverharde paden.

EINDHOVEN MIDDELBEERS ???????? Drone 4K | Tilburg Holland
Close to Eindhoven, Tilburg and Oirschot is located the village of Oost- West- and Middelbeers. Middelbeers is at the hart of the region of Kempen in Brabant Province, the Netherlands. The village has around 5,500 residents. About 1 km outside the centre you have Oostelbeers and Westelbeers, even smaller villages which are part of the same municipality. The village has two impressive churches and very spacious houses surrounded by a green landscape.

a tour of Steensel, a small village just outside of Eindhoven, Netherlands | RELAXING SILENT VLOG #4
Here's a quick (mini) tour of the small village of Steensel located just short 10 minute drive outside of the Netherland's 5th most populated city Eindhoven. It has a very laid back and friendly vibe. There is only one bus that service the main road, one hotel (Hotel Steensel), one set of street lights, one restaurant (Lekker, not shown in the video) and the local chapel (Mariakapel Steensel). At the heart of this village is the iconic clock tower (Luciatoren) and church (Heilige Luciakerk). It's a great relaxing environment to unwind from the hustle and bustle city life back in Toronto!

Hiking Thru Holland (1/5): The Hague to Den Helder
The Kustpad (Dutch Coastal Path) is the longest hiking trail in the Netherlands. I walked the Kustpad as part of a bigger adventure, where I went for a long walk (a thru-hike) and backpacked around the Netherlands, stitching together some of the best hiking trails in Holland - the Kustpad (Dutch Coastal Path), Pieterpad and Grenslandpad, (Borderland Path) - to form an 1800 km loop round the country.
This video covers the stretch of the Kustpad between The Hague and Den Helder. Stay tuned (subscribe?!) for more episodes!

'Ontdek het mooie buitengebied van Renswoude en Scherpenzeel. Wandelen door het agrarische gebied, over landgoederen, langs boerenerven en delen van de Grebbelinie. Klompen aan, rugzak op en gaan!' Dit zegt de klompenpaden website als inleiding op het Breeschoterpad bij Renswoude.
Het is een kort (6 km) en afwisselend klompenpad dat goed te combineren is met het Jufferpad en het Daatselaarsepad. Als deze klompenpaden beginnen op hetzelfde punt.
