नमस्कार दोस्तों, ट्रेवल्स टॉक में आपका सुवागत है ,दिल्ली से महज़ दो-ढाई घंटे की दूरी पर उत्तर प्रदेश में बसा मेरठ शहर, पहली नजर में भले ही एक चर्चित टूरिस्ट डेस्टिनेशन के रूप में आकर्षित कम करता हो। लेकिन इसमें कोई दो राय नहीं कि यह शहर ना केवल उत्तर प्रदेश बल्कि देश के कुछ अन्य शहरों जितना ही पौराणिक, प्राचीन और ऐतिहासिक है। आज बेशक मेरठ एक तेज़ी से उभरता हुआ औद्योगिक शहर दिखाई देता है, जहां तेज़ रफ़तार जिंदगी के बीच आधुनिक संस्कृति जन्म ले रही है। लेकिन यहां आज भी महाभारत काल के पौराणिक निशान देखने को मिलते हैं।
भारत के सबसे पुराने शहरों में शुमार यह शहर कदम-कदम पर चौंकाने की कुव्वत लिये है। अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ भारत के सबसे बड़े आंदोलन की शुरुआत मेरठ(10 मई 1857) से की गई थी, हिन्दू मान्यताओं के अनुसार मेरठ की रचना लंकापति रावण के ससुर माया द्वारा की गयी थी और पौराणिक काल में इसे मैदान का खेड़ा कहा जाता था। और यही वजह है कि जब एक सैलानी बन कर इस शहर का भ्रमण करने निकलेंगे, तो आपको यहां की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत और भी हैरान कर देगी। दिल करेगा कि क्यों ना इस दिलचस्प शहर को थोड़ा और कुरेदा जाए।
यह शहर साथ ही यह कई औद्योगिक गतिविधियों का भी गढ़ है। देश में खेल सामग्री और संगीत के उपकरण का सर्वाधिक उत्पादन मेरठ में ही होता है। इसके अलावा विश्व में रिक्शा के सर्वाधिक उत्पादन का श्रेय भी मेरठ को ही जाता है।

So friends in this video I am going to Draupadi Ghat and Draupadi Temple. This Draupadi Ghat is the same place where Draupadi used to bathe and worship in the Ganges. Friends, this temple is situated at some distance ahead of Pandeshwar Mahadev temple. Earlier the river Ganges used to flow through here but now it has become 4 or 5 kilometers away from here, now this place is called Old Ganga.

महाभारत का हस्तिनापुर कहाँ है- Hastinapur Fort Mahabharat in Modern Time | Hastinapur of Mahabharata
Hastinapur traces its roots to the times of Mahabharata and according to the epic, it was the capital of the Kauravas. Legend has it that the Great War of Mahabharata was fought between the Pandavas and Kauravas. The Pandavas won the battle and ruled Hastinapur for the next 36 years till the beginning of the Kalyug Age. Many astrological, natural, geographical, physical, inscriptional and scriptural evidence have been found that support the validity of the above belief. The Archaeological Survey of India has been carrying out excavations in many parts of this town and has unearthed several temples and other ancient monuments. Hastinapur is also sacred to the Jain community. Of the 24 Jain Tirthankars, the 16th, 17th, and 18th were born here. The town also attracts a fair share of Jain pilgrims every year.
You can visit Pandeshwar Mahadev Temple where Pandav's used to worship Lord Shiva. There are old trees, water wells, and many more things to see related to pandava.

Hastinapur is situated in district Meerut & connected through Meerut-Bijnor Road, about 40 km from Meerut and 125 km from Delhi. It has been the silent witness to the majestic, grandeur, royal conflicts and princely anecdotes of Pandavas & Kauravas. It was also known as capital city of Pandavas and Kauravas at the time of Mahabharata.
Hastinapur is also a sacred place for Jain devotees. A number of masterpieces of architecture and center of great faith of Jain religion are also worth visiting here like – Jambudweep Jain Temple, Shwetambar Jain Temple, Prachin Digambar Jain Temple, Astapad Jain Temple and Shri Kailash Parvat Jain Temple, etc. Along with Sumeru Parvat and Kamal Temple in Jambudweep Jain Temple and whole premises of the Temple is worth a visit.

Hastinapur Pandeshwar Mahadev Temple, located near the Pandava mound of the historical city of Mahabharata, is world-famous not only in the country but also abroad.
