The city of Zwickau in eastern Germany has a long and varied history of car production and industrial design. Its story is told in the August Horch Museum – beginning with the production of Horch cars, to Audis, to the East German car, the Trabant. On her trip to Zwickau, Hannah Hummel discovers the city’s car history, as well as its art and cultural history. Both the composer Robert Schumann and the expressionist painter and printmaker Max Pechstein were born in Zwickau. This episode of Destination Culture also takes viewers to Schneeberg – a creative hub in Saxony, where students from around the world study fashion and textile design.

As we continue our World War 2 Road Trip around Europe, we visit The Bridge too far in Arnhem Netherlands, and Bastogne, Belgium. Bastogne was a key crossroads in the Battle of the Bulge.
We also visit the town of Foy, where the 101st Airborne held the front line against German soldiers. The foxholes can still be seen today.

Arnhem is home to the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, ArtEZ Institute of the Arts, Netherlands Open Air Museum, Airborne Museum 'Hartenstein', Royal Burgers' Zoo, NOC*NSF and National Sports Centre Papendal. The north corner of the municipality is part of the Hoge Veluwe National Park. It is approximately 55 square kilometers in area, consisting of heathlands, sand dunes, and woodlands.

Winterwanderung vom kältesten Ort Deutschlands - Kühnhaide
Fahren wir also los zur Winterwanderung und um den kältesten Ort Deutschlands zu suchen und, liebe Freunde, wer geglaubt hat, jetzt geht es Richtung Alpen, der liegt völlig schief. Wir fahren ....genau, nach Kühnhaide bei Marienberg, und dort finden wir ihn nämlich, den kältesten Ort Deutschlands - Kühnhaide. An der Gaststätte zum Schwarzwassertal beginnt unsere Tour. Wer meine Touren regelmäßig verfolgt, der kann sich sicherlich daran erinnern, hier sind wir bereits einmal gelaufen, als wir versucht haben heraus zu finden, welches die schönste Wanderung im Erzgebirge ist. Heute wollen wir jedoch in eine andere Richtung laufen. In Richtung Rübenau, die genaue Tour will ich heute allerdings nicht beschreiben, dass hole ich in einem späteren Film nach. Lasst euch heute einfach von den schönen Winterimpressionen begeistern und verwöhnen.
Wenn ihr Spaß an unserer Winterwanderung hattet, dann würde ich mich natürlich über einen Daumen nach oben bzw über ein Abo freuen. Noch mehr würde mich aber ein Kommentar von euch interessieren, nämlich Hand aufs Herz - habt ihr gewusst wo der kälteste Ort Deutschlands liegt bzw wo ihr ihn gesucht hättet.

Auf Raubritters Pfaden sind wir unterwegs von der Burg Stein im Tal der Zwickauer Mulde, über Wildbach und die Ruine der Isenburg. Und dazu gibt es noch die spannende Sage von der Weißen Frau von der Isenburg. Als krönenden Abschluß laufen wir zum Schluß über den Raubritterstieg, mit teilweise alpinen Charakter, zurück. Ich wünsche euch viel Spaß bei diesem kleinen, aber interessanten Spaziergang.

Wasserschloss Haus zum Haus | Ausflugsziele
Das Haus zum Haus ist eine aus dem 13. Jahrhundert stammende Wasserburg am Angerbach in Ratingen. Die Wasserburg ist eine der wenigen gut erhaltenen, mittelalterlichen Wehrburgen der Region. Die Burganlage befindet sich in Privatbesitz. Der Innenhof ist für Spaziergänger zugänglich.

Es ist der wohl ungewöhnlichste und stimmungsvollste Weihnachtsmarkt, der an allen Advents-Wochenenden auf Schloss Kaltenberg zu erleben ist. Schon von weitem sieht man das Schlossgelände in stimmungsvollen Farben glänzen.
Hochzeitsmarkt in Wolfsbrunn 19.11.2017
Die diesjährige Hochzeitssaison im Gästehaus Wolfsbrunn hat mit der alljährlichen Hochzeitsmesse ihren Ausklang gefunden und gleichzeitig die neue Saison 2018 eingeläutet. Über 100 Brautpaare ließen sich am 19. November 2017 zum Wolfsbrunner Hochzeitsmarkt von verschiedenen Ausstellern der Branche inspirieren und beraten.
Begleitend zu stimmungsvoller Chill-Out Musik konnten sich die Gäste im gesamten Schloss von 10 bis 18 Uhr den Tag vertreiben und kreative Anregungen für ihre Hochzeit holen. Um die Ideen und Impressionen der Aussteller entspannt verarbeiten zu können, wurde zudem ein kulinarisches Tasting Menü gereicht. Mit einem Feuerwerk über dem winterlichen Hartenstein wurde der Tag gebührend beendet.
Die Wolfsbrunner Hochzeitsmesse hat sich in den letzten Jahren qualitativ zu einer der führenden Veranstaltungen dieser Art in Westsachsen etabliert. Diese Entwicklung unterstreicht die traumhafte Hochzeitslocation und Wolfsbrunn als erste Adresse im Erzgebirge.
