Bharuch, formerly known as Broach, is a city at the mouth of the river Narmada in Gujarat in western India. Bharuch is the administrative headquarters of Bharuch District. The city of Bharuch and its surroundings have been settled since times of antiquity.

1- Swaminarayan Temple -
A nice temple in the heart of Bharuch City. The carving on the temple are too good. The entire campus is very big with gardens all around. This is a typical style temple in the series of Sami Narayan Temples.

2- Golden bridge-
The Golden Bridge connects Ankleshwar to Bharuch in the Gujarat state of western India. It was built in 1881 by the British, who needed a bridge across the Narmada River to create better access to trade and administration officials in Bombay (now called Mumbai).[1] The bridge is also called the Narmada Bridge
3- Neelkantheshwar Temple --
Nilkantheshwar temple was nice temple of Shivji. There was nice setting arrangements. Surrounding environment was peaceful.
4- Sardar bridge --
The new Sardar bridge constructed in 2017 on Narmada river is the longest extradosed bridge in India with length of 1.4 Km. The view during night is fantastic with lighting arrangements on the bridge.
5- Narmada park --
Park situated near National Highway No.8 on the bank of River Narmada, Bharuch, India. It is good for spending time in the evening with family and friends. There is minimal entry fees to visit the park.
6- Ninai waterfall --
This place is just 2.5 - 3 Hours one day getaway from Bharuch. The falls is inside the forest reserve. The reserve is also called Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. It is located in the Western Satpura Range in Gujarat.
7- Shoolpaneshwar wildlife --
Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is very attractive place to visit with family. After monsoon this place attraction increased. There was lots of greenery surrounded this place.
8- Kadia dungar caves --
Kadia Dungar Caves are located at Kadia Dungar near Zazpor village of Zagadiya Taluka of in Bharuch district of the Indian state of Gujarat. The group has seven caves carved out in 1st and 2nd century AD on the mountain. The group includes sculpture of monolithic lion pillars. An architecture of cave shows vihara style construction. The site has brick stupa at the foot of a mountain.[1] The caves were carved out in 1st or 2nd century AD. influenced by Buddhist architecture.
9- Gumandev Mandir --
This is an old Hanuman Temple which draws people in large numbers, especially in the Holy Month of Shravan in July - August. On Saturdays, there are long queues for the darshan. People in this area come here for all occasions - good or bad. The idol is supposed to be Swayambhu - self created
10- Gaytri Mata temple --
This temple located on the bank of holy river Narmada gives you a peace of mind and soul.
In the evening time the lights on the cable bridge and their reflection in the water of river Narmada seen from the temple creates good landscape.

This is the place where King Mahabali performed 10 ashwamedha sacrifices.
At this place where Lord Vishnu came in the disguise of Vamana and measured the whole universe with his three steps.
There are many old temples constructed on this ghat which includes Ambaji Mata Temple, Umiya Mata Temple, Narmada Mata Temple, Kotirudreshwar Mahadev, Vamana Temple and many others.

The Bhadbhut barrage or Bhadbhut dam is an under construction barrage on Narmada river near Bhadbhut village in Bharuch district, Gujarat, India.[1] The construction started on 7 August 2020 and will be completed by 2025.
The tender for construction of barrage and associated works was opened in June 2018. A joint venture of Dilip Buildcon and HCC was awarded the design and construction contract in July 2020. The project will cost ₹4,167.7 crore (US$520 million). The project period is 48 months.On 7 August 2020, Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani flagged off the construction.It will be completed by 2025.
The project is a part of envisaged Kalpasar Project. The project is tendered by the Narmada Water Resources, Water Supply and Kalpsar Department of Government of Gujarat.[6]
The barrage will be constructed 25 km upstream of river mouth where it enters the Gulf of Khambhat in Arabian sea and 125 km downstream of Sardar Sarovar dam. A 1.663 km long causeway-cum-weir barrage will be constructed. It will form a reservoir holding 599 MCM of fresh water. The barrage will have 90 gates.[1][3][7] A six-lane bridge will be also constructed on the barrage which will connect Dahej and Hazira with reduced distance of 18 km.[4][6] Total 131.53 hectares (325.0 acres) of the land in 14 villages will be acquired to built the flood protection embankment on both banks of the river. The north and south bank embankments were 14 km-long and 4 metre high while south bank embankment will be 27 km-long and 8 metre high.
The barrage will provide fresh water for drinking, agriculture and industries in the region as well stop ingress of seawater. It will also have separate channel for fishing activities.[4][6]
Some local fishermen opposed the project citing that the fish population will decrease due to barrage.[9]
