You can enjoy brightly coloured murals and exciting sculptures as you wander around the town centre. There are also wonderful historic buildings, including the Court House, Post Office, Mechanics Institute, Churches and lovely houses.
Wander around the Botanic Gardens with sweeping lawns, towering trees and an ornamental lake. It is one of Victoria’s most intact 19th-century Botanic Gardens.
Lake Hamilton, surrounded by parkland, is popular for fishing, sailing, and walking and has a fantastic Adventure Playground.

Nigretta Falls
Nigretta Falls is formed by the Wannon River cascading 25 metres down the rocky cliff. There is a viewing area at the top, and a short walk down a set of steps brings you to the base of the falls.
Byaduk Caves
Byaduk Caves were formed by lava flow from Mount Napier. There is a track on the surface to view the four caves, and you can climb into Harmans 1 to explore this incredible cave.
Wannon Falls
Wannon Falls is a punchbowl waterfall that plunges 30 metres over the edge of a basalt lava cliff and into the river below. The viewing platform is a short walk from the picnic area and carpark.

Hamilton Island! I can’t wait to go back again. I went for 4 nights and 5 days and I wish I stayed for 7 days. So many fun activities to do!
I tried to book a holiday for this month (March) but accommodation was full already, as with April. So, make sure you book straight away!
When you’re ready to travel this is one place I recommend you visit. You won’t regret it.

This is the third year in a row we've been to Hamilton Island in Australia's beautiful Whitsundays. Join us for a week of relaxing on this tropical island.
We stayed on the eastern side of the Island (Catseye Beach side) in the Frangipani Apartments.
