Nynäshamn is a locality and the seat of Nynäshamn Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden with 13,510 inhabitants in 2010.
While interest in the area as a potentially useful port grew from the mid 19th Century, it was only with the opening of the railway station to Stockholm in 1901 that Nynäshamn started to develop.
During the early 20th Century, Nynäshamn also became well known as a spa town, though most such facilities were closed down before the end of World War I. Main industries arrived through Telegrafverkets verkstäder (the factories of the Government owned telephone company) in 1916[2] and an oil refinery built in 1928-29 by Axel Ax:son Johnson & Co. The latter still remains though under different ownership and under the name Nynas.

Bruksleden
Through two days I hiked a long smal paths on a trail called Bruksleden.
Bruksleden is a trail which is divided into 27 stages with varying lengths.
You can walk from Avesta in Dalarna to Västerås in Västmanland. If you want you can also visit Skinnskatteberg and/or Hallstahammar.
This time I started in Bastmora in Västmanland Sweden.
I waked stages 9,10,11 and 12.
I walked from Bastmora to Landsberget then to Trummelsberg. Continued to Stenbjörnskojan and ended my hike just before Stora Acktjärn.

The Swedish Air Force units carried out the traditional formation flight - Christmas tree flight - over parts of Sweden in December. This year is special because it will be the last time that the Flight School conducts a Christmas tree flight with the SK 60. The formation flight is planned to be conducted over Mälardalen and Östergötland on December 19.

Driving from Gothenberg to Stockholm Sweden today an accident slowed the highway traffic to a crawl. After an hour I decided to take some backroads and came across this flower field. The flowers are harvested to make oil for cooking. You never know what treasures you will find on your journey!
