★ 4K ???????? Zürich HB - Luzern cab ride, Switzerland [09.2019] Führerstandsmitfahrt
In this video, we're looking at the InterCity route between 2 popular Swiss cities with the tourists - Zürich, Switzerland's largest city and Lucerne, a city on a lake preceding the alps.
The original line between Zürich and Luzern was actually routed via Affoltern am Albis to Zug, one we have looked at before. At that time, Zug was a terminus station like Zürich and Lucerne still are, which required a change of direction to reach Lucerne.
Note the right hand curve after we leave Zug. The straight section after that curve formerly continued behind us to what was the terminus station. To assist in turning trains, the loop track labelled after leaving Zug was at that time not a loop, rather a track where trains could reverse left into from the terminus, then pull forwards towards Lucerne and reverse back into the station.
When the line was built between Zug and Arth-Goldau in 1897, the loop was made and the station shifted to where it is now. The loop served to connect the line from Arth-Goldau with Lucerne as well as Zürich via Affoltern am Albis. It was taken out of service in 1990. All trains to Lucerne from the south were now forced to take the Gotthard line until Immensee or Rotkreuz, where lines branched off towards Lucerne, and trains towards Zürich would continue via Thalwil.
This video is a little different in that the camera was mounted outside of the cab - the main difference being the sound and lack of window reflections. Let me know your thoughts on what you prefer.

Wildenburg Castle Ruin, Lorzentobel Baar Switzerland 4K
Wildenburg Castle was built in the 13th century and lies on a rock spur above the Lorzentobel near Baar in Central Switzerland.
The castle belongs to Gottfried von Hünenberg. In 1386 the Knights of Hünenberg fought against the Swiss Confederates in the Battle of Sempach on the side of Habsburg Austria. In the following decades the family had to sell their goods. The castle was then left to decay and used as a quarry in the 16th century. In 1985, thanks to the Pro Wildenburg association, a complete renovation and an archaeological investigation was carried out.
Die Wildenburg wurde im 13. Jahrhundert erbaut und liegt auf einem Felssporn über dem Lorzentobel bei Baar in der Zentralschweiz.
Das Schloss gehörte Gottfried von Hünenberg. Im Jahre 1386 kämpften die Ritter von Hünenberg in der Schlacht von Sempach auf der Seite des habsburgischen Österreichs gegen die Eidgenossen. In den folgenden Jahrzehnten musste die Familie ihre Güter verkaufen. Die Burg wurde dann dem Verfall überlassen und im 16. Jahrhundert als Steinbruch genutzt. 1985 wurde dank dem Verein Pro Wildenburg eine vollständige Renovierung und eine archäologische Untersuchung durchgeführt.

Von Sursee fahren wir weiter dem Sempachersee entlang nach Sempach. Von hier folgen wir wieder der Landstrasse und fahren wir übers Land nach Eschenbach. Am Kloster vorbei fahren wir weiter nach Gisikon und Rotkreuz. In Holzhäusern überqueren wir die Kantonsgrenze vom Kanton Luzern zum Kanton Zug. Wir fahren dem Zugersee entlang weiter nach Cham und Zug.

Zugersee Umrundung mit dem Kajak
Während dem Lockdown wegen dem Coronavirus habe ich am 16. April 2020 bei schönstem Frühlingswetter den unteren Teil vom Zugersee umrundet. Insgesamt waren es 23.7 Km, die ich in ca. 4.5 Std geschafft habe.
Da alle Schiffe im Hafen sind, gab es auch keinen Schiffsverkehr, weshalb der See sehr ruhig war.

Gemeinsam gewinnen, erholen, erfrischen.
Als Königspartnerin betrieb die Zuger Kantonalbank während des Eidgenössischen Schwing- und Älplerfestes vom 23. bis 25. August 2019 einen Stand. Der nachhaltig gebaute Promostand war Anziehungspunkt für Gross und Klein. Die verbauten 30m3 Holz stammen aus den Zuger Wäldern und finden nun auf deren Wanderwegen und Rastplätzen wieder ihren Einsatz. Der grosse Brunnen mit frischem Trinkwasser, drei lange Holztische und Sitzgelegenheiten im kühlen Schatten waren bei den Besuchern sehr beliebt. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Wettbewerb, bei welchem mit Münzen ein Glas im Wasser zu treffen war. Dabei kamen gesamthaft 9`136.60 Franken zusammen. Die ZugerKB rundete den Betrag auf 10`000 Franken auf und spendete ihn der Institution ConSol. PENGland AG gelang es mit dem Konzept und der Planung einen einzigartigen Stand zu bauen und den Nerv des Zielpublikums zu treffen. Mit viel Leidenschaft führte die Korporation Zug in Zusammenarbeit mit PENGland AG den Bau aus.
