Episodio de 'ANDO EN TREN' (RIDING TRAINS) con el servicio de ferrocarriles de 'Metrotren Rancagua', uno de los trayectos clásicos de Santiago de Chile.
Este tren suburbano o de cercanías une a la ciudad de 'Santiago' con la ciudad de 'Rancagua' atravesando el valle central en un trayecto de 80 km. El tren para en las estaciones 'Estación Central' ('Alameda'), 'San Bernardo', 'Buin Zoo', 'Buin', 'Linderos', 'Paine', 'Hospital', 'San Francisco de Mostazal', 'Graneros' y 'Rancagua'. Por el momento, la Empresa de Ferrocarriles del Estado emplea trenes españoles 'UT440' en este servicio, situación que cambiará en los próximos años con una renovación de flota, con trenes chinos 'CRRC Sifang SFE'.
El tren se paga con la Tarjeta Tren Central, el trayecto tiene un costo de $2.400 pesos chilenos (unos 3 dólares), la compra de la tarjeta tiene otro valor aparte.
El viaje fue muy entretenido y bonito, pudimos ver el entorno de la Estación Central, trenes del servicio 'Metrotren Nos', el cruce del emblemático puente del río Maipo, además del hermoso paso por Angostura de Paine. El trayecto incluye un fragmento del poema 'Estrella de la Primavera' de mi autoría, además de que aparece en el libro 'Iris el sonido de las caracolas'.

Por fin pude hacer un viaje que quería hacer desde hace mucho tiempo, el servicio Terrasur, el tren Chillán - Santiago de Chile que corre diariamente y es el único tren de media distancia de Chile, pues los otros servicios de trenes que existen son más cortos o son esporádicos. Fue muy emocionante poder hacer el trayecto completo, en días anteriores había estado en Concepción, anduve en el histórico tren AES y me bañé en las Termas de Chillán, ahí en la Cordillera de los Andes.
El tren Terrasur recorre desde Chillán a Santiago de Chile pasando por las ciudades de San Carlos, Parral, Linares, San Javier, Talca, Molina, Curicó y Rancagua, cruzando todo lo que es el valle central de Chile, con viñedos y otras plantaciones, junto con paisajes de campo. Por momentos se podía ver la Cordillera de la Costa, la Cordillera de los Andes y el atardecer.
El tren es una unidad UTS444 de 3 coches, dos de ellos tienen categoría Salón (Turista, la más económica) y otro coche tiene asientos Preferente, que es la categoría más cara y donde viajé yo. Dentro del tren hay servicio de cafetería y en el video me doy el tiempo de mostrar el interior de este tren. Los UTS444 son trenes reformados que proceden de España, trabajaron durante varios años al servicio de RENFE con el nombre de UT444. El servicio es operado por Tren Central, filial de la Empresa de Ferrocarriles del Estado (EFE).

The first thing upon arrival at Zermatt station is to rent your ski or snowboard gear so you can go up the mountains in the early morning without any hassles. A good start is the Gornergrat, to get there you can jump on the highest-altitude cogwheel railway in Europe which ends at the highest hotel in Switzerland, the Kulmhotel, from here you can also set eyes on the mountain in Switzerland, the Monte Rosa Massif. After you day on the slopes have dinner at the unique Chez Heini restaurant for their bizarre Red High Heel Soup, usually the soup of the day and their extremely juicy lamb chops. Alternatively, feast on the Swiss traditional dish Raclette at Du Pont restaurant, the oldest restaurant in Zermatt.
The most unique attraction in Zermatt is by far the Cheese Fondue in an Igloo experience. For 70 Swiss francs or 70 US dollars you will join a tour group venturing out the Iglu-dorf located in the mountains near the Riffelberg station. Inside the giant Iglu-dorf complex, created out of igloos, you will be welcoming with a warm cup of mulled red wine and presented with the most incredible cheese fondue experience while you enjoy the live music, every Thursday!
The Iglu-dorf is basically a giant hotel complex with many rooms, a love-nest and a bar complete with a jacuzzi. Renting a igloo room for one night can be quite expensive but an experience for a lifetime. Why wouldn't you want to wake up among gorgeous crafted ice sculptures of wild animals ranging from buffalos to eagles.
Downtown Zermatt has plenty to offer as well, from a stroll through the ancient Hinterdorf street where you can get lost between 30 elevated barns, stables and storage units built between the 15th and 19th century. Don't forget to drop by the Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis and the St. Mauritius church for a true local experience.
Zermatt even has their own beer brewery. They offer 4 flavours for each season which you can enjoy at the many venues downtown, like Harry's Bar or Little Bar. For an epic night out, visit Hotel Post which has a gigantic nightlife complex of multiple stories offering many bars, dancefloors and a variety of live music & DJ's. Namely; Broken Bar and The Factory.
Alpen Resort Hotel may the best place to stay in Zermatt for their great breakfast buffet, panorama rooms looking over Zermatt with views of the Matterhorn, a games room, and a giant pool in the basement, complete with a Finnish spa, roman steam bath, hot tub and a fully decked out gym.
The Matterhorn mountain is the most famous attraction in Zermatt, most tourists come to Zermatt to enjoy this breath-taking sight. The Matterhorn ski pass is an international one, which allows you to ski into Italy and back into Switzerland without problems, it is the only winter sport resort with such an unique feature. Spent at least 2 to 3 days in Zermatt to fully grasp the magic of this wonderful village. The Swiss Travel Pass covers free transit in Switzerland on trains, boats, buses and cable cars and 420 museums in Switzerland. 240 CHF, $240 US dollars, it would be a mistake visiting Switzerland without it.

Episodio especial de 'ANDO EN BUS' (RIDING BUSES en inglés) con un viaje ida-vuelta en el primer bus eléctrico interurbano de Chile, unidad 3000 de 'TurBus' inaugurada en inicios de 2019. Pude coordinar con el conductor titular de este bus, 'Enrique Vásquez', e hicimos el viaje completo 'Santiago - Rancagua' además de conversar de la vida, la naturaleza de la ruta, los tipos de pasajeros que la realizan y los típicos paisajes que es posible ver.
Este bus es la primera unidad eléctrica para servicios interurbanos en todo América del Sur, además de que hay otros buses del mismo modelo trabajando en servicios privados, principalmente como transporte de personal de minería en la empresa 'Tandem'.
El modelo 'King Long XMQ 6130 EYWE5' es traído desde China por 'Vivipra', cuenta con 42 asientos de felpa con categoría 'Clásico', un baño, autonomía de 250 km y tiene distintos tiempos de carga (un cargador de día y otro cargador de noche para mejor uso de la energía). Este bus tiene placa LBXF77, inscrito en Febrero 2019.
Después del viaje y de una grata conversación, grabé una entrevista con 'Enrique' para que nos contara más detalles sobre su trabajo en este bus eléctrico, las características técnicas de este bus eléctrico y cómo ha sido el recibimiento de esta unidad en la vida cotidiana.

A bordo de la legendaria y apodada Sofia Loren, la 3208 a toda velocidad pasando por la estación de San Bernardo.
Más tarde entre Graneros y Rancagua, se debe efectuar una bajada de pantografo por un par de robos al cable alimentador de los trenes, la locomotora tiene que ir con vuelo para pasar estas zonas sin electricidad.

Uru-Chipaya ya da Chipaya olarak adlandırılan halkın yaşadığı, uçsuz bucaksız bir bozkırda dolanacağız. Bolivya'nın kadim ve yerli halklarından biri olan Chipaya halkının geleneksel yaşamlarından, kültürlerinden, yaşadıkları evlerden, kıyafetlerinden ve yemeklerinden bahsedeceğim ve göstereceğim. Köyde yaşayan insanlarla sohbet etmeye çalıştım. Her ne kadar kamerayı gören kaçsa da birkaç kişiyle iletişim kurmayı başardım. Hayatımda gördüğüm en ilginç köylerden birisiydi Chipaya köyü. Şili sınırında yer alıyor ve Oruro şehrine 3 saatlik uzaklıkta. Tam bir mahrumiyet bölgesi. Hiçliğin ortasında yer alıyor. Chipaya halkı tarım ve hayvancılıkla uğraşıyor. Nüfuslarını öğrenemedim lakin oldukça az insanla karşılaştım. Gidiş sürecinden oradaki yaşantıya kadar her şeyi videoda anlattım.
