Episodio de 'ANDO EN TREN' (RIDING TRAINS) con el servicio de ferrocarriles de 'Metrotren Rancagua', uno de los trayectos clásicos de Santiago de Chile.
Este tren suburbano o de cercanías une a la ciudad de 'Santiago' con la ciudad de 'Rancagua' atravesando el valle central en un trayecto de 80 km. El tren para en las estaciones 'Estación Central' ('Alameda'), 'San Bernardo', 'Buin Zoo', 'Buin', 'Linderos', 'Paine', 'Hospital', 'San Francisco de Mostazal', 'Graneros' y 'Rancagua'. Por el momento, la Empresa de Ferrocarriles del Estado emplea trenes españoles 'UT440' en este servicio, situación que cambiará en los próximos años con una renovación de flota, con trenes chinos 'CRRC Sifang SFE'.
El tren se paga con la Tarjeta Tren Central, el trayecto tiene un costo de $2.400 pesos chilenos (unos 3 dólares), la compra de la tarjeta tiene otro valor aparte.
El viaje fue muy entretenido y bonito, pudimos ver el entorno de la Estación Central, trenes del servicio 'Metrotren Nos', el cruce del emblemático puente del río Maipo, además del hermoso paso por Angostura de Paine. El trayecto incluye un fragmento del poema 'Estrella de la Primavera' de mi autoría, además de que aparece en el libro 'Iris el sonido de las caracolas'.

Having stayed in multiple different villages on my previous travels, I was inspired to do the same in Belarus. I reached out to several Belarusians and got the wonderful opportunity to visit Krupitsa village after meeting Ira through Couchsurfing. Ira was so excited to invite me to come and stay with her parents and her son. I was excited to see life in the countryside and got lucky to be present during Ira’s father's birthday.

Asado Argentino Loco en Invierno en Canadá -30°C!
Este verano pasado se nos ocurrió una idea - ¿qué tal si hacemos un asado argentino en el invierno? Bueno, tuvimos que esperar unos cuantos meses porque la nieve no llegó de inmediato, pero a fines de Enero, finalmente pudimos hacer este asado argentino loco.
Fue un día helado - con los vientos se sentía como -30°C - pero mi papá logró prender el fuego para preparar este asado de invierno tan esperado. La parte más difícil fue generar suficiente caloría como para cocinar la carne, pero como ya nos esperabamos eso, decidimos comprar cortes de carne no muy gruesos. En este video van a ver que asamos un T-bone Steak, Rib Eye, Sirloin y chuletas de cordero. Mientras la carne se cocinaba, también nos pusimos a degustar unos vinos en la cocina.

Peruvian food is one of the world’s great cuisines, and I was thrilled to have a chance to visit Peru to learn about and taste the food. In this video, get ready for an ultimate 14-hour straight Peruvian street food tour of Lima!
Here’s everything included in this food tour:
La Parada Market - If you love vegetable markets, I don’t think anywhere else in Lima is as colorful, energetic, and vibrant. This is the beating heart of Lima’s food supply, and I fully enjoyed walking around and seeing the diversity of ingredients from around Peru all in one busy wholesale Market.
Caldo Cesar - Elias navigated us to Caldo Cesar, a restaurant that was incredibly packed and specializes in some of Lima’s best caldo de gallina - chicken hen soup. It was one of the best chicken soups I’ve ever had in my life. Total Price - 52 PEN ($15.71) for 4
Ceviche Cart - One of the national dishes and most beloved dishes of Peru is ceviche (raw fish in lime juice), and we walked over to the section of the market where they sell fish and seasonings for ceviche and had a plate of fresh Peruvian ceviche. It was delicious. Price - 8 PEN ($2.42)
Fruit Tasting - This was pretty unplanned, we just walked around the fruit market and tasted about a dozen types of fruit. My favorite fruits were the Sanky - Fruit produced by a cactus, Camu camu - Native to the Amazon rainforest, and Lucuma - Gold of the Incas.
Papa rellena - This is one of the most common of all Peru street foods, a papa rellena, or a Peruvian stuffed potato. I was impressed - one of the best fried potatoes maybe I’ve ever had in my life.
Tocosh - This fermented potato pulp, was invented by the Incas, and it’s not for the faint of heart. I thought it was unique and pretty delicious, and fun to eat, and it contains natural penicillin.
Papa con huevo - This was ok, but just basic, a potato with egg on top and doused in sauces. This is again, a classic part of Peruvian street food, especially enjoyed by children.
Sanguchería El Chinito - “I practically moved to Peru just for this sandwich.” - Timour Ghoneim. That says it all about this legendary chicharrón Peruvian sandwich located at Plaza de Armas. And he was right, you would move to Lima for this sandwich.
Don Tito Pollos a la Brasa - If you ask Peruvians what is one of their comfort foods, I’m guessing pollo a la brasa would be a common answer. Pollo a la brasa is Pervuian rotisserie chicken, but somehow they just do it better in Peru. Total Price - 84 PEN ($25.39)
Anticuchos Manuela - Without a doubt, this was one of my favorite parts of this entire Peru street food tour of Lima, anticuchos, or grilled cow hearts. They are truly majestic, so juicy and flavorful, you won’t believe it. Price - 10 PEN ($3.02)
Picarones - Finally to end this ultimate street food in Peru tour of Lima, we ordered some picarones, donuts made from sweet potato and pumpkin. They are addictively delicious and should be eaten when you’re in Lima. Price - 6 PEN ($1.81) per box

Rosario Travel Guide - Argentina Amazing Experience
Rosario is the largest city in the central Argentina province of Santa Fe. The city is located 300 km (186 mi) northwest of Buenos Aires, on the west bank of the Paraná River. Rosario is the third most populous city in the country, and is also the most populous city in Argentina that is not a provincial capital. One of its main attractions includes the neoclassical architecture that has been retained over the centuries in hundreds of residences, houses and public buildings.
Rosario is the head city of the Rosario Department and is located at the heart of the major industrial corridor in Argentina. The city is a major railroad terminal and the shipping center for north-eastern Argentina. Ships reach the city via the Paraná River, which allows the existence of a 10-metre-deep (34 ft) port. The Port of Rosario is subject to silting and must be dredged periodically. Exports include wheat, flour, hay, linseed and other vegetable oils, corn, sugar, lumber, meat, hides, and wool. Manufactured goods include flour, sugar, meat products, and other foodstuffs. The Rosario-Victoria Bridge, opened in 2004, spans the Paraná River, connecting Rosario with the city of Victoria, across the Paraná Delta.
The National Flag Memorial in Rosario is a monumental complex built near the banks of the Paraná River. It was commissioned in 1944 and inaugurated on June 20, 1957 – the anniversary of the death of Manuel Belgrano, creator of the Argentine flag, who raised it for the first time on an island in the river on February 27, 1812.
Located in Urquiza Park, Rosario's Municipal Astronomical Complex is one of the principal astronomical centers of the region. The planetarium has a core team, together with its secondary elements, providing an artificial image of the sky, through projections made on a fixed hemispherical dome that functions as a display.
Municipal Astronomical Observatory Prof. Victor Capolongo was inaugurated on June 18, 1970 and named its first director. Experimental Science Museum was inaugurated on September 24, 1987. It is the first in Argentina and differs from traditional museums, in that it has equipment and instruments to demonstrate the laws of nature, which can be used by the general public in an interactive way.
The 4 metre-tall bronze statue of Che Guevara was unveiled on 14 June 2008 to commemorate his 80th birthday. It is made from 75,000 bronze keys donated by Argentines nationwide and weighs 2.7 tons. The statue was made by artist Andres Zerneri and is the first such monument to Guevara in his native Argentina.
At Rosario city centre, Córdoba Street is the main avenue, it begins at the Flag Memorial Park, climbs towards the district area, and becomes a pedestrian walk for seven blocks, between Plaza 25 de Mayo and Plaza Pringles. Along Córdoba Ave to the west Paseo del Siglo (Walk of the Century) was settled, with former houses of wealthy families, finally there is also the San Martín Square, and elsewhere, Plaza Montenegro (on Peatonal San Martín, the pedestrian-only four blocks of San Martín Street) and Plaza Sarmiento.
Oroño Boulevard (going north–south) and Pellegrini Avenue (east–west) mark the boundaries of the town center together with the river. At their confluence starts the Parque de la Independencia, that houses the Juan B. Castagnino Fine Arts Museum, the Newell's Old Boys football club, and the sports clubs Provincial and Gimnasia y Esgrima, as well as the horse racetrack and the former Sociedad Rural (Rural Society).
Towards the south, beyond Pellegrini Avenue, there are two more boulevards, 27 de Febrero and Seguí, and avenues Uriburu, Arijón and Battle y Ordóñez. To the west, after Oroño, there are the avenues Ovidio Lagos and Francia, Avellaneda Boulevard and Provincias Unidas Avenue. The main barrios in the south are La Tablada, Parque Casado, Las Heras, Las Delicias and Las Flores. The city ends in the Saladillo Stream. Among the districts in the west are Echesortu, Belgrano, Triángulo, Moderno, Godoy and Fisherton. Walking Puerto Madero Ciudad de Buenos Aires - Argentina
Puerto Madero es el barrio más moderno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Sus edificios portuarios históricos, construidos con ladrillos y arcos de hierro fueron restaurados y contienen modernos y elegantes restaurantes de lujo y bares que son populares entre los turistas y los que están de almuerzo de negocios. Elegantes y llamativos rascacielos albergan corporaciones multinacionales y departamentos de alto valor así como también miradores para ver la ciudad y el río desde las alturas.

EL PUENTE DE LA MUJER - uno de los emblemas del barrio de Puerto Madero, es la primera obra en América Latina del reconocido arquitecto español Santiago Calatrava. Se trata de un puente peatonal giratorio con uno de los mecanismos de giro más grandes del mundo, pensado para permitir el paso de las embarcaciones a vela que navegan por los diques de Puerto Madero.
A.R.A FRAGATA PTE. SARMIENTO - Esta fragata, botada en 1897, fue una de las más adelantadas de su época. Cuenta con un casco de acero forrado en madera y chapa de cobre, tres mástiles y un imponente mascarón de proa con la efigie de la República Argentina. La nave fue bautizada en honor al fundador de la Escuela Naval Argentina, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento.
COLECCION DE ARTE AMALIA LACROZE DE FORTABAT - Esta importante colección privada de arte (inaugurada en 2008 y reabierta en 2012) posee más de 150 obras de reconocidos artistas internacionales como Rodin, Warhol, Turner, Dalí y Blanes, así como de artistas argentinos tales como Badii, Berni, Quinquela Martín, Noé, Pérez Celis, Fader, Soldi y Xul Solar, entre otros.
Puerto Madero apenas a unas pocas cuadras del antiguo San Telmo y del Centro de la ciudad, es uno de los puntos turísticos que no te podes perder.

Carlos Keen es un hermoso pueblo rural a menos de 90 km. de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, y a 16 km. de la ciudad de Luján, en la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
El doctor Carlos Keen, abogado y periodista, nació en Las Flores en 1840; hijo menor de George Keen y Eloisa Vargas de Keen, hermano de Jorge Eduardo. Era amigo personal del entonces gobernador de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Dardo Rocha.
El pueblo surgió de la construcción del ramal ferroviario Luján-Pergamino cuyas obras comenzaron en 1879. El tren era vital para poder sacar todos los productos de esa inmensa pampa, donde habían hecho eclosión chacras, estancias, puestos y cría de ganados. En esa época la actividad agrícola- ganadera florecía con base en la política que buscaba hacer de la Argentina “el granero del mundo”. Tres ilustres habitantes del lugar: Don Estanislao Rodríguez, Don Hilario Ávalos, y Don Estanislao Pacheco, cedieron 14 hectáreas que constituyeron el centro de esta localidad, cuya escena está aún hoy dominada por la estación del ferrocarril, centro de acopio de los productos a ser transportados.
En la década del ´30 tuvo un vertiginoso crecimiento: existían muchos almacenes de ramos generales, tiendas, zapaterías, ferreterías, negocios de máquinas e instrumentos agrícolas, sastrerías, corralones, cocherías y caballerizos para alquilar. Lo que es más importante (y da realmente idea de la trascendencia que tenía Carlos Keen en la zona) es que allí había una sede del Registro Civil y un juez de Paz, pero diversas circunstancias, en especial el cierre de ramales ferroviarios, llevaron a paralizar ese constante desarrollo.
A su alrededor se ubica, además de la iglesia, la panadería, variados comercios, dos escuelas (una primaria y otra de enseñanza media técnica), la biblioteca y Comisión de Preservación y Tercera Edad (ubicada en la ex casa y oficina de correos), un puesto sanitario, algunas fábricas -de elaboración de dulce de leche una, y de fideos secos la otra-, el conjunto de viviendas y sus pobladores.
Hay turismo que viene beneficiado por la construcción de la autopista que facilita un rápido acceso, escasa distancia de la ciudad capital, nuevos y variados emprendimientos (muchos de ellos gastronómicos), buena difusión, comunicaciones y ordenanzas que tornaron a Carlos Keen como pueblo tradicional e histórico.
Diversas normas legales regulan mantener intacta la fisonomía original del pueblo. Como ejemplo se puede citar: prohibición de derrumbar y/o modificar edificaciones tradicionales, preservar las existentes, mantener alumbrado a bombillas de época, cartelería propia con diseño de imagen corporativa, etc. En el año 2007 la Comisión Nacional de Museos y de Monumentos y Lugares Históricos, mediante el Decreto Presidencial Nro. 513/ 2007, declaró bien de interés histórico nacional, a un sector de la traza urbana del pueblo en reconocimiento de su calidad de poblado histórico.
Los fines de semana conviven las antiguas tradiciones con la gastronomía y modernos autos relucientes. Hay restaurantes de campo, casas de antigüedades, cabalgatas, paseos en sulkys, doma y folklore del Círculo Criollo Martín Fierro.
El pueblo de Carlos Keen también es receptor de muchos grupos de actividades diversas: caravanas de amigos de la bicicleta, de autos antiguos, clubes fotográficos, filmaciones cinematográficas y televisivas.
También se realiza la “Fiesta del Sol” es una festividad en honor a la tierra y su relación con el sol, relacionada con los pueblos agrícolas indígenas. Todos los años, el 21 de junio a las 12 de la noche, los más supersticiosos realizan varios rituales para aprovechar las energías mágicas de la noche de San Juan. Pero, ¿de dónde viene esta magia? Todo se relaciona con San Juan el Bautista y el solsticio del 21 de junio. El festival se lleva a cabo dentro del predio ferroviario de la localidad, con puestos gastronómicos y eventos de espectáculos musicales y artísticos. En el año 2023 se realizó la XX edición de la “Fiesta del Sol” en Carlos Keen.

Travelling to MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay + Trying URUGUAYAN STEAK + Tannat Wine in the Capital!
In today's video, we'll be travelling from Colonia del Sacramento to Montevideo - the capital of Uruguay - and then we'll be trying Uruguayan steak! So we started the day off in Colonia where we had a few hours to spare before catching the bus to the capital. We spent the morning enjoying a leisurely stroll through the old town, and we also made time to climb the lighthouse, which offers beautiful views of the River Plate and Colonia's old town.
We then made our way to the bus terminal, where we enjoyed a quick lunch of empanadas before getting on the bus to Montevideo. It was a 3-hour journey across farmland and rural towns. Overall, a very enjoyable and easy trip.
Once we arrived in Montevideo, we checked into our apartment overlooking Plaza Independencia, and then it was time to start thinking about food. Of course, for our first meal in the capital, we decided to try Uruguayan steak. Much like neighbouring Argentina, Uruguay enjoys a very high reputation for the quality of its beef.
We ate at a steakhouse called El Fogón, where we ordered the 'entrecot', which is the ribeye steak and one of the most popular cuts of meat in Uruguay. We paired this with a Tannat wine, which is the national grape of Uruguay. Overall a great meal and a wonderful start to our trip in Montevideo!
