Walking in OLDENBURG / Germany ????????- Around the City Center - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Oldenburg is a town in northwest Germany. The old center of Oldenburg has many restaurants and cafes on pedestrian streets that we will visit on this walk.

We start our tour at the Hafenpromenade along the harbor of Oldenburg east of the city center. We are quickly getting to the inner city and the Ritterstraße to visit the Rathausmarkt with the St. Lamberti Church of Oldenburg.

Our tour continues to the Oldenburger Schloss that we circle around. On our way we also see the Berliner Bären statue. Then it's time to make a little detour outside of the city center.

Returning back to the inner city through Schlossplatz we now see more of the center and often head out and back into the many pedestrian streets. We even see the Lappan, a historic bell tower in the north of the city and stroll around the many alleys. There are more paths to explore.

Oldenburg is a town in northwest Germany. The old center of Oldenburg has many restaurants and cafes on pedestrian streets that we will visit on this walk.

We start our tour at the Oldenburg train station and first get to the Hafenpromenade along the harbor of Oldenburg east of the city center. From there we visit the inner city, see the Rathausmarkt with the St. Lamberti Church of Oldenburg.

Our tour also passes the Oldenburger Schloss before we return to the Hafenpromenade again. There we end our tour.

Alte Amalienbrücke Oldenburg (1980)

Diese Schmalfilmaufnahmen aus 1980 zeigen die alte und neue Amalienbrücke in Oldenburg.
Die alte Amalienbrücke (Hubbrücke) existierte damals noch einige Wochen neben der neuen Brücke, bevor sie nahezu restlos entfernt wurde. Protesttransparente zeigen, wie sehr die Oldenburg an ihrer Hubbrücke hingen.
Im Zuge eines möglichen Neubaus der sehr ähnlich konstruierten Cäcilienbrücke wiederholt sich heute die damalige Diskussion, ob ein Abriss wünchenswert ist oder ob die Cäcilienbrücke als letzte Ihrer Art nicht doch erhalten werden sollte.
Entgegen der landläufigen Meinung waren die alte Amalienbrücke und die heute noch existierende Cäcilienbrücke nicht baugleich. Wer genau hinsieht, erkennt den Unterschied bei 1:15 .

Feierabendtour - der Oldenburger Ostermarkt 2023, einen Tag vor der Eröffnung!

Erst wollte ich nicht los, dann überzeugte mich aber die Sonne und so ging es auf einen 10km Trip in die Oldenburger Innenstadt, wo gerade auf dem Schloßplatz der diesjährige Ostermarkt aufgebaut wird. Eine echte Neuerung: es gibt ein richtiges Riesenrad, oder gab es das schon einmal?

Wohnmobil Stellplatz Olga Hafen

Am Olga Hafen am Dümmer See gibt es einen kostenlosen Wohnmobil Stellplatz. Strom ist vorhanden muß aber mit Strommarken aktiv geschaltet werden. Die Marken gibts im Hafen. Entsorgung ist gegen Bezahlung am Automat möglich. Wer nichts davon braucht steht hier kostenlos und schön. Parzellen gibts nicht aber ich denke da passen so ca. 10-15 Mobile hin. Wenn man noch den Parkplatz davor nutzt wird einem bestimmt auch nicht der Kopf abgerissen. Der Hafen ist schön, die Fischbrötchen lecker, also nix wie hin.
