Herbstreise durch die Süd-Eifel | ARD Reisen
Zu Fuß lässt sich die südliche Eifel am besten erobern: Daniel Aßmann wandert durch herbstlich leuchtende Wälder, vorbei an Streuobstwiesen, und in der engen Teufelsschlucht nahe der luxemburgischen Grenze sogar über den Grund eines Millionen Jahre alten Meeres.
Der Film wurde vor der Flutkatastrophe 2021 produziert. Alle gezeigten Wanderungen und Orte wurden nicht in Mitleidenschaft gezogen oder sind in diesem Video entsprechend gekennzeichnet.
Ein Rundwanderweg führt Daniel Aßmann zum Fuß des 40 Meter hohen Basaltlavasteinbruchs Ettringer Lay bei Mayen-Koblenz. In Gerolstein trinkt er an einer berühmten Mineralwasserquelle, bevor er sich auf dem Felsenpfad in die dortigen Dolomiten begibt. In Prüm und Adenau wird es historisch. Danach warten entlang der Wanderwege kleine und große Abenteuer: Fliegenfischen mit einem Dreisternekoch, ein Ausritt mit Maultieren, ein Besuch beim letzten Mausefallenbauer von Neroth. Und auf der Kasselburg schenkt Daniel Aßmann einem Turmfalken die Freiheit.

Wandelen door de Eifel - Eifelsteig etappe 10 - Gerolstein-Daun
Welkom op ons wandelkanaal. Misschien kijk je voor het eerst; extra welkom dan. We hopen dat je het leuk vindt om met ons mee te wandelen.
Ben je al eerder met ons meegewandeld, dan weet je dat we de Eifelsteig in een vreemde volgorde lopen. We zijn ooit begonnen met enkele gemakkelijke etappes en tenslotte hielden we alleen maar de lastigere etappes over.
Met déze etappe erbij hebben we nu de etappes 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 en 13 gelopen.
De resterende etappes van de Eifelsteig zijn we nu aan het dichtlopen.
Nu dan dus de 10e etappe van Gerolstein naar Daun. Een pittige etappe met een stevige klim ergens halverwege en nog een laatste klim vlak voor Daun.
Een etappe zonder veel afwisseling: zeker in het begin véél bos, héél veel bos....
Loop met ons mee en kijk wat je er zelf van vindt.

C'est un régal de randonnée avec label de qualité Premium qui vous attend sur le sentier de la Eifel, long de 313 km, entre Aix-la Chapelle, ancien site du palais impérial de Charlemagne et Trier (Trèves), la plus ancienne ville d'Allemagne. Le leitmotiv « Le long de l’eau et des rochers » se reflète tout le long du parcours:
rochers escarpés et curieuses formations rocheuses, des pics et des vallées isolées, des lacs de retenue imposants, des maars paisibles, des fleuves et des cours d'eaux parfois sauvages, parfois tranquilles. Une fois la partie plane au nord dans la région de Aix-la Chapelle traversée, vous parvenez rapidement aux Hautes-Faignes. Vous poursuivez vers le sud en passant dans la vallée isolée de la Rur, vous atteignez la région des lacs de la Eifel puis la région des volcans du côté de Gerolstein et de Daun. Ensuite, vous parcourez la partie Eifel-Sud avant de rejoindre la ville romaine de Trier (Trèves) sur la Moselle.

Buchenloch-Höhle Gerolstein | Dolomiten von Gerolstein
Die Buchenloch-Höhle ist eine kleine Höhle bei den Gerolsteiner Dolomiten, welche gut zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Die Höhle hat ganzjährig eine Temperatur von 8 Grad Celsius, Ihr solltet also nicht zu leicht bekleidet dort hinein gehen. Ansonsten benötigt Ihr festes, am besten rutschfestes, Schuhwerk und idealerweise eine gute Taschenlampe.

The Eifelsteig is the long-distance hiking trail through the Eifel. It connects the historic cities of Aachen in North Rhine-Westphalia and Trier in Rhineland Palatinate. The Eifelsteig hiking trail leads across the largest still intact highland moor in Europe, the Hohes Venn, through the only National Park in North Rhine-Westphalia, past relics of the volcanic past of the Eifel in the Volcanic Eifel and on to the unmistakable red sandstone rocks overlooking Trier.
The 313 kilometres are divided into 15 daily stages of between 15 and 28 kilometres long.
