Wir waren am Samstag am Speicherbecken Geeste - dem Freizeitparadies rund um den Geester See im schönen Emsland. Einmal rund um den See sind es knapp über 6 km und direkt am See ist ein Ausflugslokal mit Badestrand. Weiterhin gibt es einen Tauch, einen Segel- und einen Surfverein. Viel Spaß beim Video rund um den See und den Drohnenaufnahmen vom gesamten See.

Views from the 282-feet-high observation deck of the Sail City hotel, located directly on the Weser. Bremerhaven, the smaller sister of Bremen and the federal state of Bremen, at the mouth of the Weser into the North Sea in sunshine and not, as usual, grey and drizzling.
You can see the city, the harbour belonging to the city of Bremen with container terminal [0:51], New Harbour [1:04], fishing harbour, Lehe, the meandering Geeste, the Weser to Bremen inland, Butjadingen [2:23] on the opposite side of the Weser with Nordenham and Wilhelmshaven on the horizon.

The Seaside City of Bremerhaven was founded in 1827 as a North Sea harbour for Bremen. Today it's the fourth-largest container port in Europe and also has several attractions for tourists who enjoy maritime activities.
Coming from the train station by local bus we are on the Columbusstraße. We have a nice view of the
Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum which we will pass on our way to the Deichpromenade.
It's a beautiful day (in September 2020) so we enjoy the sunshine and also watching some boats going over a sluice towards the harbor (with a litte timelapse).
The second half of the video we see more of the central city of Bremerhaven with the pedestrian Bürgermeister-Smidt-Straße where many shops are located.
We walk this street towards the end back to Theodor-Heuss-Platz and Columbusstraße and end our tour on the Kennedy bridge over the river Geeste.

Lingen (Ems) - Duitsland
De geschiedenis van Lingen is met name vanaf de zestiende eeuw verbonden met het huis Oranje. De geschiedenis gaat terug naar 975, toen Lingen het eerst in de archieven genoemd werd. Lingen lag op het kruispunt van twee belangrijke wegen, de Vlaamse en de Friese Straße en was zodoende al in de middeleeuwen een handelscentrum. Lingen maakte in 1227 deel uit van het gelijknamige graafschap Lingen. Het graafschap werd vanaf de 16e eeuw tot de Nederlanden gerekend. In 1597 veroverde Maurits van Nassau, de latere prins van Oranje, de vestingstad. In 1605 heroverde Ambrogio Spinola de stad. In 1632 ging de stad naar het bezit van het huis Oranje tot de dood van stadhouder Willem III. Daarna, in 1702, kwam het Graafschap in Pruisische handen. Later waren respectievelijk Napoleon, Pruisen, Hannover en daarna weer Pruisen aan zet. Tegenwoordig is Lingen een zelfstandige stad in de deelstaat Nedersaksen.

O my, one of the first Videos. Flying to Langeoog a small Island in Northern Germany, Das Wattenmeer
Island Langeoog. Almost every island in Northern Germany has an airstrip. So on a beautifull morning 11.5.2019 Wiho and Jan (me) decided to go to Langeoog via Leer with a stop on the 08. I did the planning and ordering the bockwurst. It was a beautifull flight, I almost forgot to create this Video, so after more than a half year, there it is.
a smartphone video is fast but not professional it still gives a good impression of this nice day in 2019.
The plain was the Scheibe Falke 25C with a Rotax 912 motor from our club. What can I say more? Sausage with fries (bockwurst mit pommes) was also extremely well (paid with 35 Euro very touristik here). I will do it again in 2020 on a hot summerday, have a swimm and fly back, o my, o my what a lucky hobby we have.
Langeoog: EDWL IATA-Code LGO, only 800 meter from the village, there is a train to transport you without additional cost but you have to pay a higher landingfee for all this tourist-stuff (tax).

I went alone (with the corona crisis I did not want to take the risk of flying togehter with Michael, sorry for that). I work at home too in this crisis but now and then you need some fresh air, but alone ???? ..
So 17 march 2020 to a (small) bigger Airport EDDG (Münster Osnabrück) with ATC, Air Traffic Control. Again testing my Dutch RT (Radio Telefonie) licence (BFZ E in Germany), no Problems this time, no mistakes and it gets better every time. No recording this time, the PA81A did not give sound this time, I really do not know why.
Almost no traffic, the Corona crisis was developing 17.3. After calling the tower I got almost immediately cleared for Right Base 25 for the requested Touch&GO. I had to speed up in the circuit for the full stop landing, an Embraer was almost behind me, it landed a few Minutes after my 'Runway Vacated Charley'. I fly the max 110 Knots with this MotorGlider on Right Downwind Runway 25, fun, The Airport on the Right, empty.
Drinking coffee and relaxing a bit, I like the expresso here for zero Euro, I flew back to Lingen where I had to wait, the Military Range was active, flew a round over Lingen, landed and parked the plane. A nice short flight, back to stress and work at home :-(
