Die Gartenstadt Zehlendorf - Siedlungsbau in Berlin zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts
Die Gartenstadt Zehlendorf ist zwischen 1913 und 1930 in verschiedenen Bauphasen errichtet worden, das macht sie so spannend. In einzigartiger Weise dokumentiert die Siedlung die Entwicklung vom durch die Gartenstadtidee geprägten genossenschaftlichen Siedlungsbau in Berlin vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg zum Wohnungsbau in den 20er Jahren.
Die Siedlung ist weitgehend erhalten geblieben, steht unter Denkmalschutz und die Wohnqualität ist auch heute noch sehr hoch.

If you're looking for some top things to do in Heidelberg, Germany join us for our travel guide as we cover top attractions in the city. Today we’re showing you around this charming and historic university town situated in southwestern Germany. This was the final stop of our trip across Germany and while we only had 3 days here, we still managed to cover a lot of the main attractions in the old town.
In this video, we’ll be touring the ruins of Heidelberg Castle and exploring some of its gems which include an enormous wine barrel and the apothecary museum. We’ll wander through Heidelberg University, which happens to be the oldest university in all of Germany, and at one point had an infamous student jail. Plus, we’ll hike the Philosopher’s Way for epic sunset views, we’ll stroll along the banks of the Neckar River, and we’ll enjoy some hearty German and international dishes along the way because you already know how much we love food.

6 Siedlungen der Moderne in Berlin zählen seit 2008 zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO, allein 4 davon stammen von Bruno Taut. Bereits vor dem Ersten Weltkrieg erbaut, ist die Gartenstadt Falkenberg Tauts Frühwerk.
Aufgrund ihrer Farbigkeit, sehr außergewöhnlich nicht nur für die damalige Zeit, wurde sie im Volksmund schnell als Tuschkastensiedlung bekannt.
Seit der sorgfältigen Sanierung, die zwischen 1991 und 2012 erfolgte, erstrahlt die Siedlung Falkenberg wieder im alten Glanz und in ihrer ursprünglichen farbigen Leuchtkraft, wie in diesem Video zu sehen ist.
