Garoua, 3ème ville du Cameroun, compte environ 1 million 200.000 habitants en 2020.
C'est la capitale de la Région du Nord Cameroun. La ville est traversée par le fleuve Benoué, l'un des plus grands fleuves du Cameroun. Garoua est une ville très propre et dotée de très bonnes infrastructures routières, de très jolis parcs, monuments, stades, hôtels, un aéroport international, et autres. La ville est traversée par plusieurs boulevards, et un boulevard périphérique qui contourne la ville de Garoua sur 16 kilomètres.
Dans le fleuve Benoué, en plein centre-ville, on peut approcher, caresser et jouer avec les nombreux hippopotames du fleuve, en présence d'un guide, et aussi visiter de très jolis paysages et sites naturels à proximité de Garoua.
Le Cameroun est le seul pays d'Afrique Francophone et l'un des rares de toute l'Afrique Noire qui développent plusieurs villes en même temps.
Les chansons de cette vidéo sont respectivement d'une chanteuse du peuple Toupouri , dont je ne connais malheureusement pas le nom, d'Ali Baba et d'Isnebo, du groupe Faadah Kawtal.

Garoua est la capitale de la région du Nord du Cameroun et le chef-lieu du département de la Bénoué. Elle a été érigée en Communauté urbaine de Garoua en 2008. La ville compte 900 000 habitants environ en 2018 et est la troisième ville du pays. Elle était l'une des premières villes du Cameroun avant la colonisation et était la capitale régionale du Grand-nord jusqu'en 1982. La langue principale d'échange de la ville est le Fulfuldé.
Géographie
Elle est située sur la route nationale 1 à 1 107 km au nord de la capitale camerounaise: Yaoundé. Oasis de verdure au cœur de la brousse, Garoua est la seule ville traversée par la rivière Bénoué au Cameroun. Une ville plaisante et bien équipée qui constitue une plaque tournante des mouvements touristiques dirigés, d'une part vers le nord, le parc national de Waza et la région des Kapsiki, d'autre part, vers le sud, les parcs de la Bénoué, de Bouba Ndjida et la réserve du Faro.
Climat
Garoua est doté d'un climat tropical de type Aw selon la classification de Köppen, avec une température annuelle moyenne de 27,8 °C et des précipitations d'environ 1 005 mm par an, moins importantes en hiver qu'en été.
Transports
La ville possède un aéroport international d'une capacité de 1,5 million de passagers et 5 000 tonnes de fret par an, mais il n’est utilisé qu'à 4%.
Garoua possède également un port sec sur la Bénoué aujourd'hui inutilisé.
La ville est reliée à Ngaoundéré et à Maroua par la nationale n°1. Cette route est présentement en mauvais état, ce qui dédouble les temps de trajet.
La voirie urbaine de Garoua est assez importante (bien qu'insuffisante). Elle présente un état variable en fonction de quartiers après des années de négligence. Si elle est assez satisfaisante en centre-ville, elle est en mauvais état dans une grande partie des quartiers de la ville.
Le principal moyen de transport urbain à Garoua est la moto-taxi.
Éducation
L'arrondissement de Garoua I dispose de neuf établissements d'enseignement secondaire publics, dont 5 collèges et 4 lycées.
Celui de Garoua II possède sept lycées
Médias
Beaucoup de médias publics et privés cohabitent dans les villes du Cameroun, qu'il s'agisse de chaînes de télévision, de chaînes de radio ou de la presse écrite. Ainsi, quelques chaînes de télévision camerounaises sont recevables à Garoua : GalaxieTV, Camnews24, CRTV, Spectrum Télévision (STV 1 et STV 2), Canal 2 international et Équinoxe TV.

French and English are the country's two official languages. Two of the ten regions of Cameroon - in the north-west and the south-west of the country - are primarily Anglophone, representing 17% of the country's population. The lingua franca in these areas, however, is Cameroonian Pidgin English.
The remainder of the country is primarily Francophone. , Most Cameroonians speak either French or English and a third indigenous language. Cameroon is home to 230 languages, with Fulfulde being the lingua franca in the north, and Ewondo in much of the Centre, South, and East provinces.
Cameroon has 4 differents cultural areas:
The “fan-béti” cultural area including the Regions of Centre, South and East. It is characterized by the rain forest and mostly inhabited by the beti tribe, the “bantou” people and pygmies. – the “Littoral” cultural area including the Regions of Littoral, South- East and the division of “Ocean”(head quarter, Kribi). It’s characterized by water(the atlantic ocean) and mount Cameroon(for trekking). It’s mostly inhabited by the “sawas people”. – the “Grassfield” cultural area, including the Regions of West and North-West. It’s characterized by it’s Kingdoms that are important artistic and cultural centers. It’s mostly inhabited by the “Bamileke” people, the “Bamoun” people and the anglophone community. – the “Soudano-Sahelian” cultural area, including the Regions of Adamaoua, North and Far-North. It’s characterized by the Savannah landscape, and mostly inhabited by “foulbe people”.

Bouba Ndjida National Park is one of the biggest national parks in Cameroon in terms of area. This Park is surrounded by a number of seasonal streams as well as the mayo Sénaroua, a year-round river
Established in 1932 as a wildlife reserve and turned into a national park in 1968. Bouba Ndjida national park is situated in the northern region of Cameroon about 150 kilometers from Garoua and near the border with Chad.
It covers an area of 220,000 hectares and has been designated an area of interest for the conservation of birds because of its ornithological diversity.
Around 24 species of big and medium animals live in this national park, including Savannah elephants, panthers, hyenas, lions, giraffes, bush pigs, warthogs, and antelopes, ...
This national park is also home to about 11 different species of antelope, including the red=sider duiker, red hartebeest, Defassa kob, Buffon's kob, and Harnessed kob...
The park is accessible by road but also by track. According to sources, there are two ways to access it. You can access the Park through Garoua or Ngaoundere. Click here for more information
The town of Koum is where the necessary formalities for entering the park are completed. It is required to account for 3000 FCFA/J per adult and 2000 FCFA/J for a vehicle. A tax of 2000 and 3000 FCFA is also levied on phones and cameras.
