Whenever you travel to a different place for whatever reason, you need to know where to get healthy and organic food. Somalia as a country imports a lot but it doesn't mean it doesn't grow It's own food.
Because of the human traffic in these markets, people tend to prefer super markets, but while in Garowe, visit Inji Market and you'll not be disappointed. It was a great experience for me.

A group of tourists traveled to the ancient town of Eyl in the northern Nugal region about 220km from the coast of the Puntland capital Garowe.
The journey began by air from Aden Abdulle International Airport in Mogadishu and the tourists arrived in Garowe where they proceeded on a six-hour road trip to EYL.
During the tour to the countryside, the tourists caught sight of valleys, forts, rocky hills, and grazing Somali livestock such as camels, a herd of goats, a flock of sheep, and a Herd of Cows on the road between Dangoranyo and EYL. Its very historic and unique tour destination attracted many locals and int' travelers.

Bosaso is the commercial, biggest and developing city in Puntland, Bosaso is situated in the north-East of Somalia, on the Gulf of Aden. Originally, this place was known as Bander Qasim. It was the name of an Arab trader who came and settled here in the 20th century. If we trace its history, it is quite clear that the Greeks sailed to this place of commerce and it was a strategic location for them. There have been several clans that have ruled the city since ancient times.
Group of Adventure travelers who visited over 190 countries traveled from Garowe, Eyl, Qardho and finally reached Bosaso. they visited some part of the ancient city and enjoyed.
Bosaso is about 1390 KM from the Capital City of Somalia where the distance between Bosaso and Hargeisa is about 870 KM.
Cape Guadaful area has a lot of resources that include: Frankincense, Fishi production, Date Plam, Coal Deposit and Natural water springs and livestock and is one tourist loved to see the real corner of Horn of Africa.

This was my first ever visit Somalia; I decided to take time off this summer and start an internship in Garowe, Puntland with an organization. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleased with my stay, everything was beyond my expectations. I was able to learn my language, culture and I met people who changed my life. I want to say thank you to my amazing co-workers and friends for inspiring me.
And for anyone who is thinking about going back home, don't let peoples fears discourage you from witnessing the beauty of Somalia. I never once felt that my safety was at risk and for the most part, I felt at more at ease and stressfree than I did in Canada.
Discovering Somalia's Natural Beauty & Making a Difference with Autism Somalia Center.
It's all good news from Somalia Autism Centre. From the last time I visited the centre, the centre has been thriving thank God.
A lot has changed. The most amazing news is the parents' and community's shift in their mindset towards the centre. The community especially the parents are more involved in the activities at the centre. They want to be part of the transformation that seeeks that Autistic children get the support they need. Recently, the parents organised a gettogether luncheon as a symbol of the assured support to the centre. It was all joy and happiness.
Also the centre shifted to a much bigger space even though they're still renting. But it's more spacious than the previous one. The kids can play more.
Amal Bank donated a bus solving the major challenge of kids pick-ups.
In addition, the centre received a big donation of land and the ministry of education promised to do the construction of all the necessary buildings once the land has fully been acquired.
New staff has been recorded. There's a psychologist , a special sports coach. It's all good news.
However, the centre would use all the help you can provide, a lot is still required.
While in Garowe, to miss out on the hike to the highest hills (Naasa hablood), it's fun and worth the challenge.
