Falls located near ‘Attur’. From 'Salem-Ulundurpettai' Hwy, it takes 9-10 Kms to reach Falls.
A day can be spend with family and friends with low expenditures.
The falls area is completely under the supervision of the Forest Dept Staffs hence there is no doubt for safety.
A must go for people near Attur, Salem etc.
Season starts from August and ends at February, if rain persists the season is extended till the mid of March.

ಮಾಗೋಡು ಜಲಪಾತವು ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ (ಉತ್ತರ ಕೆನರಾ) ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ, ಯಲ್ಲಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಬೇಡ್ತಿ ನದಿಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಜಲಪಾತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಬೇಡ್ತಿ ನದಿಯು ಸುಮಾರು 200 ಮೀಟರ್ (660 ಅಡಿ) ಎತ್ತರದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಹಂತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುತ್ತದೆ, ಇದನ್ನು ನಾವು ಮಾಗೋಡು ಜಲಪಾತ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತೇವೆ.
ಈ ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ವಿವಿಧ ವ್ಯೂ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್‌ಗಳಿಂದ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು, ಬಹು ವ್ಯೂ ಪಾಯಿಂಟ್ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರಿಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಕೋನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭವ್ಯವಾದ ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಧುಮ್ಮಿಕ್ಕುವ ನೀರಿನ ಘರ್ಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಂದರವಾದ ನೋಟವು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ರಜಾದಿನದ ತಾಣವಾಗಿದೆ. ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿಗಳು ಎದುರಾದವು.

ಬೇಡ್ತಿ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಗಂಗವಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿ ಎಂದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದು ಧಾರವಾಡದ (ಸೋಮೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಹತ್ತಿರ) ಶಾಲ್ಮಲವಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿದು ಅರಬ್ಬಿ ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ.
ಈ ನದಿಯು ಧಾರವಾಡ ಮತ್ತು ಉತ್ತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ನದಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಟ್ಟವಾದ ನಿತ್ಯಹರಿದ್ವರ್ಣ ಕಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

Magod Falls
Magod Falls is a popular waterfall in Uttar Kannada (North Canara) district, in Yellapur taluk, on river Bedti.
The river Bedti falls from a height of nearly 200 metres (660 ft) in two steps that we know as Magod Falls.
This waterfall can be viewed from different view points, multiple view point will help visitors to see magnificent waterfall in different angles. The roar of gushing water and a beautiful view makes top holiday destination. On the way came across a beautiful birds and wildlife.
It also offers great photographic opportunities. If you love waterfalls, you should definitely visit this gorgeous waterfall.

Bedthi River also called Gangavalli River. The originates from the Western Ghats the south of Dharwad (Near Someshwara temple) as Shalmala and flows in the west direction to meet the Arabian sea.
The river flows through Dharwad and Uttar Kannada districts. The river has dense evergreen and semi-evergreen forests along its path.

Magod falls is situated 18 kms away from Yellapur town of Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state. River Bedthi plunges to a depth of 650 feet. Bedthi river also called as Gangavali river. Few kms away from this point, Shalmala river joins Bedthi and flows through Jenukallu Gudda mountain valley, then traverse towards Arabian Sea. In December end I visited Magod falls. Let's drive to Magod falls of Sirsi in this video. This video showcases the road condition from Sirsi, Yellapur to Magod falls driving through the thick forest of Yellapur.
After visiting Sonda Matha we proceeded towards Magod Falls. Road to Yellapur from Sirsi passes through Bedti river bridge.
Bedti river also called Gangavalli river. Magod falls is part of the Bedti river.
Shree Krishna Rasoi is a good option at Yellapura for Vegetarians.
16 km drive from Yellapur to Magod falls takes nearly 50 Mins
due to pathetic road conditions.

Kavadikere: A beautiful lake 13 km from Magod Falls
Bedti river (Gangavalli river) flows down from a height of nearly 200 m (650 feet) in 2 stages into a narrow valley of rocks.
The best time to visit Magod falls is from June - January.
Entry to the waterfalls is open from 9 am to 5 pm on all days.
A series of steps descending down the hill has many viewpoints that offer a beautiful view of the waterfalls from different perspectives.
Spectacular Magod falls make you forget the tiring drive you had to reach the place. Tough roads take you to beautiful places and Magod falls prove the point yet again.

Daranggiri banana market of Assam is Asia’s largest banana Market and banana has the
5th most traded product in the world has one of its world biggest hub in Northeast India. Daranggiri is located near NH37 in Goalpara district of Assam.
There are nearly 15,000 people — from growers to sellers — involved in the market, which has a monthly turnover of Rs 4 crores during the peak season close to Dipawali and Chhat Puja festival nearly 140- 150 trucks of banana are sold every week at this market and around 50 trucks loads of banana are sold in a day.
During peak season, each truck leave the market with about 1200 to 1600 bunches of banana. The price of banana varies from Rs 100 to Rs 250 for every bunch of banana.
During summer, banana growers and traders from Garo Hills of Meghalaya and nearby of lower Assam’s Goalpara district rush to Daranggiri Banana Market which is the largest banana market in Northeast India. These banana are exported to Bihar, Bhutan, west Bengal, Nepal, Odisha, Bangladesh, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
