Lecce - Salento Region - [Things to do in Lecce] Puglia - Travel Guide

Lecce is the provincial capital of Puglia in the southern region of Salento. There are loads of things to do in Lecce, it's full of baroque and roman architecture and an excellent walking city. Often referred to as the Florence of the south, Lecce epitomises everything so beautiful about this region. The old town at night has a party vibe. The whole of Lecce seems to descend on the old town. Walking around the alleyway streets in the golden yellow lighting with stunning buildings and historical sights at every turn make it a joy to explore. We stayed for two days. If you can't, then make sure you are here at night to experience the best of Lecce.

Our travel guide is a perfect companion to show all the principal sights with some hidden gems thrown in along the way. It was a great ending to our 10 day trip to the Puglia region. Make sure you check the other videos in this series here:-

Cosa vedere a GALATINA in un giorno - SALENTO - Arte e... Pasticciotto

Visit Ancient and Charming Lecce, Italy

Sorry. This is one of the longer videos. My choice is always divide into many or hope viewers will make it through a longer one.

Lecce has remnants of a Roman colosseum, Roman Theatre, churches galore, remnants of Jewish history, castles...

One funny, it was impossible to buy a stamp in Lecce! Even the post office was out of them and had to run a postcard through the meter. Did you ever?
