Driving in Czechia and Germany: Silnice I-4 & Bundesstraße B12 from Vimperk to Freyung
In this video you can drive along on Silnice I/4 and Bundesstraße B12 from Vimperk to Freyung. This area on both the Czechian and German side is actually quite beautiful from a scenery perspective. We also reach some significant altitudes where you can still see snow in April!
The I/4 runs from Prague through the Bohemian Forest to the German border. As you have seen in previous videos uploaded to my channel, works are ongoing to upgrade most of the existing I/4 to a D4 motorway between at least Prague and Strakonice. Since I drove this part from Vimperk to Freyung on a public holiday I am not sure if the daily traffic here also warrants that upgrade.
I have visited the Bohemian region before and it's really beautiful with its many glowing hills and dense forests. I was surprised to see snow as well, there are a couple of ski lifts for the winter time. I have spotted ski slope directions on the German side as well, where the Bohemian forest basically becomes the 'Bavarian Forest'. A large part of it is a national park.

[4KHDR] Driving in Germany: Bundesstraße B533 from Freyung to Hunding - Bavarian Forest Scenic Drive
In this video you can drive along on the Bundesstraße B533 from Freyung to Hunding in the Southeast of Germany. This scenic B-Road runs through parts of the Bavarian forest and the associated national park.
The B533 is an alternative route to the city of Deggendorf from the Czech border at Vimperk. Normally you would drive down to the A3 Autobahn and then drive North, although I felt like taking the scenic route. I was surprised to see quite a few ski lifts here and there and in some parts on I even saw snow (in April).

Passau, Germany: Things To Do In The City Of Three Rivers [Travel Guide]
This time, we stopped in the small city, colourful city of Passau, Germany. The city lies very close to the Austrian border and is also the point where THREE major rivers - the Ilz, Danube, and Inn - meet!
From a stunning cathedral to the charming old town, we had a really relaxing time exploring the city when we visited at the start of September! We even got the chance to hike up to the Veste Oberhaus - a fortress that is over 800 years old - and enjoyed a drink with amazing views! Passau is also a popular stop for Danube river cruises so if you're visiting Passau (for whatever reason), this video should give you a snapshot of what to expect!

One of the MOST PICTURESQUE Cities along the Danube River | PASSAU, GERMANY
Passau is a picturesque city located in the South Eastern part of Germany in the state of Bavaria. The city borders Austria and the state capitol Munich is about a 2 hour drive away.
We’ll start the city tour at the Veste Oberhaus, a 13th century fortress located atop a hill just north of the Danube river.
We’ll continue to the Pilgrimage church of Mariahilf located in the Innstadt, just south of the river Inn. Afterwards, I’ll take you on a walking tour loop through the Innstadt and crossing over a bridge above the Inn river.
Next we’ll explore the city center which comprises the Neumarkt and Altstadt, which is the old town known for its baroque architecture, including St. Stephen’s Cathedral featuring one of the biggest organs in the world.
At the eastern tip of Old town is where the river Danube is joined by the Inn from the south and Ilz from the north giving Passau its Nickname Drei-Fluesse-Stadt which means “City of Three Rivers”.
At the end of the tour we’ll return to Veste Oberhaus for spectacular nighttime views of the city.

PASSAU. Tour to the best places to see for a trip at the town. (Bavaria/Germany)
Welcome back to a new video. Long time it was on my plan to make a trip to the town Passau, loceated at the corner of the southeast part of the federal state Bavaria in Germany. I knew this town only from stories from friends and other news. The special of this town is that three rivers flow together there. What can be better as to visit a town with a river experience this this.
The trip to Passau:
I went by car to the town where the river Inn and the river Black Ils flow in the famous river Donau. I explored step by step the town and begun with the building which made the town famous. The Saint Stephans Dome cathedral. The bad surprise was that some corners were renovated as I´ve been inside but there was still enough space where every visitor could see the gold, the Engels, and the light modern altar. At next I went a little bit into the streets and came to place called Ludwigsplatz. Also interesting was the first cabaret house of Passau called “Schafrichterhaus”. Next to this house was a kind of port where I saw some cruise ships at the arriving process to Passau. At next I was walking to the final corner where the three rivers flow together. I´ve never been at a place like this and the interesting thing was that every river had another color according to its spring. For having lunch, I showed you the restaurant next to the fortress where you have a view to the entire town. I taste the classic Bavarian roast meat from the pork with beer sauce as well. After this great lunch I made a short stop at the fortress and enjoyed the view to Passau, the Donau for the end of my trip.
About Passau:
Passau is a town loceated at a corner of the federal state Bavaria at Germany next to the low mountain range Bavarian Forest. The town has a city population of nearly 194.074 people according to the administration from 2021. The town is famous at first for the river Inn and the river called Black Ils which flow in the Donau. The black Ils has its spring at the center of the black forest and the Inn came from the Alps. This river has a mix of calk, sandy and water from the Alps inside and changes the Donau for some kilometers in a grew color. Also, Passau is known for its big influence of the catholic church. The holy ceremonies and masses at the Saint Stephans Dome are famous. Especially at Christmas and the Easter time where the bishop of the town Stephan Oster came to the Altar for the mass. To every time in the year the town is visited by tourists. Some time in the year the party Christ social union (CSU) from Bavaria made its party conferences there. From Passau it´s very simply to come by car, foot and train to the neighbor country Austria and in nearly 30 minutes to the Austrian town Linz.

My first stop in Europe well on an assignment for Viking River Cruises was the town of Passau, Germany which is in the heart of Bavaria. The town is a travel photographer's dream. It is just a fantastic place to shoot images. Passau has plenty of fantastic views to keep you occupied. It also has beautiful architecture, interesting streets, good food, and markets. Of course, it's also Christmas season in Europe, so I had the chance to visit the Bavarian Christmas market, and sample some of the local grub. All in all, Passau, Germany was absolutely brilliant. It's one of those places that just defines this part of Europe. In many ways, it's the typical Bavarian town, and in other ways it's just so unique. It's one of those European towns that I'd love to spend a week or two just exploring the streets and creating images. But, alas, my time in Passau had to be fairly short as I only had a day and a half before my ship set sail for my next destination.

Hello and welcome back to my channel! In today's video I will take you on a walk at one of Vienna's numerous Christmas Markets, this time it is Altwiener Christkindlmarkt (old Vienna Christmas Market) at Freyung. Freyung is one of the Oldtown's biggest and most famous squares dating back almost 900 year. It hosts many markets throughout the year, such as farmers markets, easter markets and in the winter of course this beautiful christmas market. Freyung is just a 5 minute walk from the metro station Schottentor which also is connected to countless trams, so if you care to visit it should be easy for you to find, enjoy!

Per conoscere Passavia è consigliata una passeggiata lungo le rive di Inn (per la Innpromenade proseguendo per il Innkai) fino all'estremo della penisola dove l'Inn confluisce con il Danubio, per poi scendere dall'altra parte lungo la riva del Danubio fino al vecchio municipio. Da lì potete inoltrarvi nel centro storico per esplorare le piazze (soprattutto la Domplatz e la Residenzplatz), i palazzi e la chiese (da non perdere il duomo di Santo Stefano). Un'altro modo interessante e panoramico per conoscere Passavia è offerta dai battelli passeggeri che fanno il giro dei tre fiumi. Negli ultimi anni sempre più navi da crociera che percorrono il Danubio si fermano a Passavia e il numero di turisti che arrivano in questo modo in città, anche se solo per poche ore, è in continuo aumento. Sebbene abbia una lunga storia, Passavia è una città molto giovane. Ciò è dovuto all'alto numero di studenti che frequentano la sua università (12.000 studenti su 50.000 abitanti). La città è anche una tappa importante del Donauradweg, una pista ciclabile lungo il Danubio, che va dalle sorgenti del fiume in Germania fino al Mar Nero. La parte più bella e più frequentata di questa pista ciclabile va da Passavia a Vienna e molti ciclisti iniziano questa avventura proprio qui, a Passavia. In recent years, more and more cruise ships that travel the Danube stop in Passau and the number of tourists arriving in this way in the city, even if only for a few hours, is constantly increasing. Although it has a long history, Passau is a very young city. This is due to the high number of students attending his university (12,000 students out of 50,000 inhabitants). The city is also an important stop on the Donauradweg, a bike path along the Danube, which runs from the river sources in Germany to the Black Sea. The most beautiful and most visited part of this cycle path runs from Passau to Vienna and many cyclists start this adventure right here in Passau.
