From here it i not far to the region Rhineland-palatinate in Germany.

Freisen, Germany Mittelaltermarkt Medieval Fest 2023
WOW!!! All we can really say is that this event keeps on getting BIGGER and BETTER every year! With medieval musicians like UNVERMEYDBAR and ABSOLEM (who sing very comical songs!), the ever popular, and beautiful, tribal belly dancing women of ASHERAH AND THE VELVET SERPENTS, and the spectacular performances of the CIRCLES OF MYSTERY and the very well loved juggler, TIMOLINO, everyone, both young and old, will find find entertainment. Along with walking through the tent city and getting a small view into camping back in medieval times, to the various stalls set up for both food (foodie heaven!) and all sorts of items for sale (Tad´s quiver got suddenly full!) , there was also the possibility to shoot arrows, learn from some of the performers, and even get a chance to hold an OWL on your arm! This was a fantastic event and we can barely wait for this summer to see what comes next!

Walking in FREISING, Germany
Freising / Germany is a town in Bavaria, located North of Munich close to the Munich airport. The city is also known for housing a campus of Munich University for brewery courses. The nearby Weihenstephan brewery was founded in 1040 and is the oldest one in the world.
We start out tour on an October day at the town square with town hall and St. George's Church. We have a look inside the church and then walk on the main street towards the east.
After the Angerbaderstreet we check out some streets north of the central main street and soon also south of that street. We are well on our way to the Domberg, a hill with the Freising Cathedral.
It only takes us a few minutes to get up the hill. A bit out of breath we visit the Freising Cathedral (Dom St. Maria und St. Korbinian) and enjoy a view from the Domberg Observation platform (Aussichtsplattform Domberg).
It's time to go down the the town again. We get to the town square once again and check out the western part of the main street (Obere Haupstraße) before we end our tour

Set up next to the small but historic Burg Baldenau, the highest in elevation moated castle anywhere in Germany, this yearly festival will take you back to the Middle Ages with only a short drive from nearby Morbach! From archery to music, and from the fantastic performers up to the amazing fire show at the end of the evening, you will always find something to see and do! Don´forget to peruse the various trade stalls and try out some of the wonderful food that is on offer here. And, for the younger Lords and Ladies, there is even a puppet show with a story...

Walking through the small town of Meisenheim, Germany
This is an older video from before Covid masking and distancing requirements became mandatory. I really enjoyed this small town which I first found by accident. I came back one last time to record a walk through the town so that I could look back on my time in Germany. The larger cities seemed forgettable, but smaller traditional places like this always amazed me with their hidden charm.

We are walking at Weisskirchen in Germany. The town Weisskirchen is located in the state Saarland near to the state Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany.
We will walk at the lake and the park at Weisskirchen. At our walk we will have a look for the dukes, the canadian gosses and for the sans.
Our walk is calm and you will have a lot of time for relaxing.
We will only see a few persons, because of the lockdown the hotels are closed.
Normally here is more life, because the people like to stay at Weisskirchen for holidays. Directly next to the park there is a big Hotel and also some restaurants.
But today all is closed and our walk is only for relaxing. I hope, you will enjoy the walk also.
Today it is not the best weather and sometime you can hear a little bit noise of the wind, but I know we will come here once again and we will make the same walk again with sun.

Our walk in Oberes Glantal / Schönenberg Kübelberg / Rhineland-Palatinate / Germany
Hallo my friends, today we will make a little walk together in Schönenberg-Kübelberg.
Now it is November 2022 and the weather is not so fine. I have decided, that we are going immediately there, because one visitor of this channel has asked for a walk in Kübelberg. He has lived there and has asked especially for the street Herzogstrasse. So I hope, that we are making him a pleasure that we are walking there.
Maybe next year it will be possible to make once again a walk in Kübelberg by better weather.
Ok, so let us walk.
We will start at the Dorfplatz in front of the church Sankt Valentin. We will cross the parkingplace, go down over some stairs, will follow a little part of the St. Valentin-Strasse, then a part at the Kirchbergstrasse and after this we will walk along the Herzogstrasse. It is not the whole Herzogstrasse, but maybe it is this part, which is interesting for our friend.
