Welcome to the best tacos in the world - the ultimate guide to Mexican street food tacos in Mexico City!
I met up with Lalo from La Ruta de la Garnacha ( he’s from Mexico City, he makes videos about street food as well. And he took me to his favorite tacos in all of Mexico City. We each ate the most tacos in one single day that we’d ever eaten in our lives, and it was the greatest taco day of my life!
Here are all the places we ate in this video:
Tacos Joven - They are known for their tacos de canasta, which are basket tacos, famous in Mexico City. They are served from a basket, and they keep hot the entire day as they are served. The highlight here was the chicharrón taco with chicharrón salsa.
Price - 13 MXN ($0.70) per taco
Taqueria El Abanico - This is Lalo’s favorite restaurant in Mexico City for carnitas, the wildly popular braised pork taco. The entire rib in my taco was the highlight, so tender and flavorful.
Price - 20 MXN ($1.08) per taco
El Pescadito de Sonora - Originating from Hermosillo in Sonora, El Pescadito serves Mexican seafood tacos, especially shrimp or marlin tacos. Their tacototo is a taco that will change your life. This was as good as food gets for me.
Price - 35 MXN ($1.89) per taco
Tacos Charly - When it comes to Mexican street food, suadero is one of the greatest, a massive pan of slow braising beef in its juices. When you order your tacos, they slice up the meat, dip your tortilla in the fat, and you eat it with onions, cilantro, and salsa - pure meat heaven.

Taqueria Los Güeros - Tacos de tripa, intestines, are very popular in Mexico City as well. They may not be the most pretty tacos, but they are immensely flavorful and have all sorts of different textures going on in your mouth.

Tacos Los Juanes - This is a great Mexican street food restaurant in Mexico City that serves all sorts of different tacos. We came for the tacos de cabeza and tacos de lengua, both of which were fantastic

El Vilsito - For Mexican street food in Mexico City, the ultimate taco, the most loved by everyone is no doubt, Al Pastor. Cooked in the vertical spit, a technique brought over from Lebanese immigrants, Al Pastor is usually made with marinated pork that’s juicy and flavorful it might make you weep tears of joy. Lalo and I ordered, not just your ordinary tacos de al pastor, but the King of all tacos, the Gringa!

The Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum Mexico is now open! Here is a look at the new airport and what to expect. See more in our article here.
The Tulum Airport is about 45 minutes from the downtown of Tulum. It connects with the Tren Maya which has a station at the airport and in Tulum centro. This airport is expected to service 5.5 million people a year. From the space that there is now, this seems very possible and with the spacious design, there is room to grow.
This is just one of the big infrastructure projects going on in our area that is changing how we travel and what destinations become easier to reach.

El Tren Maya, Tulum & Playa del Carmen | Ep4
Tulum y Playa del Carmen encabezan la lista de los destinos favoritos en la ruta del Tren Maya, sin embargo estos sitios esconden algo que podría parar el proyecto en seco , acompáñanos en éste episodio a descubrir qué hacer en las estaciones de Tulum y Playa del Carmen.
Recuerda que no necesitas esperar a que el Tren Maya esté en funcionamiento, esta ruta se puede recorrer en auto y en ésta serie nosotros te decimos cómo hacerlo.
El Tren Maya en Quintana Roo: Tulum y Playa del Carmen
Este tramo sin duda será uno de los más visitados por todos los turistas, pues las bellezas naturales que ofrecen no se encuentran en ningún otro lugar del mundo. En este Estado no hay vías de tren construidas y lo que se tiene planeado es aprovechar el derecho de vía de las torres de alta tensión y hacerla doble.
Es importante mencionar que antes de comenzar con la construcción del Tren Maya, se deben solucionar problemas de infraestructura urbana en Tulum como el drenaje y otra situación que afecta tanto a Tulum como Playa del Carmen y otros puntos del Estado es el recale masivo de sargazo que desde el año 2018 ha ido llegando en grandes cantidades y que hasta la fecha no se ha encontrado una solución que de verdad funcione.
-Qué esperar del Tren Maya en este tramo
Se espera que tanto a Tulum como Playa del Carmen lleguen más turistas desde otros estados y que la derrama económica beneficie a más comunidades. En Tulum se harán dos estaciones; una en Cobá donde hay grandes atractivos turísticos poco conocidos pero la principal es su Zona Arqueológica y en Tulum, que esa va a seguir hacia Playa del Carmen, Puerto Morelos y Cancún.

Quintana Roo (Speaker Icon.svg escuchar), oficialmente el Estado Libre y Soberano de Quintana Roo, es uno de los treinta y un estados que, junto con la Ciudad de México, conforman México.1112 Su capital es Chetumal y su ciudad más poblada es Cancún. Está ubicado en la península de Yucatán, región sureste del país, limitando al norte con Yucatán y el golfo de México (océano Atlántico), al este con el mar Caribe (océano Atlántico), al sur con Belice y al oeste con Campeche.13
Con 1 857 985 habitantes en 2020 es el noveno estado menos poblado —por delante de Durango, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Tlaxcala, Nayarit, Campeche, Baja California Sur y Colima, el menos poblado— y con 41.6 hab/km², el octavo menos densamente poblado, por delante de Coahuila, Zacatecas, Sonora, Campeche, Chihuahua, Durango y Baja California Sur. Es el estado con la mayor tasa de crecimiento poblacional a nivel nacional (3.5%) según los resultados del Censo de Población y Vivienda 2020.
Es junto con Baja California Sur el estado más joven del país, ambos promovidos de Territorio Federal a Estado Libre y Soberano el 8 de octubre de 1974. Sus localidades más pobladas son Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Chetumal y San Miguel de Cozumel. Quintana Roo conforma una región con grandes llanuras y pequeños declives y elevaciones hacia el este. El suelo predominantemente calizo y permeable, permite por ende la filtración del agua de las lluvias hacia las capas interiores de los sistemas subterráneos acuíferos, formando asimismo los ya mencionados depósitos y corrientes subterráneas, que abastecen de agua a las poblaciones menores mediante los pozos. Los cenotes son masas de agua que afloran hacia la superficie de la corteza terrestre; su origen radica en la erosión del agua de las cavernas, que las hace derrumbarse y desplomarse originando dichos afloramientos de agua. Como dijimos Quintana Roo es una planicie de origen marino conformada por rocas del mioceno y el pleistoceno, exceptuando a las rocas de las colinas de color rojo intenso.
La tierra de tipo tsek' el se encuentra en las laderas drenadas y zonas elevadas, donde el agua favorece la presencia de elementos nutritivos en su composición. Los k' ankab se encuentran al pie de las zonas altas y en ellos se acumulan los productos de la intemperie y el drenaje es impedido, originando cúmulos arcillosos. Los akalchés son zonas localizadas en las partes más bajas (aguadas y sabanas con poco o nada de drenaje).
La selva cubre la mayor parte del estado, existiendo excepciones como las zonas taladas y habitadas por el hombre. En las costas y regiones aledañas existen regiones bajas donde se acumulan las aguas de las lluvias formando lagunas pequeñas. Estas zonas se encuentran deshabitadas debido a la insalubridad, plagas (mosquitos), entre otros factores originados por el estancamiento de agua.

Municipio de Othón P. Blanco: Su cabecera es la ciudad de Chetumal, que es también la capital del estado. Recibe su nombre en honor de Othón P. Blanco, quien encabezó la colonización de la región y fundó la ciudad de Chetumal.
Municipio de Benito Juárez: Su cabecera es la ciudad de Cancún, famoso destino turístico internacional.
Municipio de Felipe Carrillo Puerto: Se encuentra localizado en el centro del estado y su cabecera es la ciudad de Felipe Carrillo Puerto, anteriormente conocida como Santa Cruz de Bravo y Chan Santa Cruz.

Municipio de José María Morelos: Su superficie es de 6.739 km². Las principales actividades económicas son la agricultura y la silvicultura. Sus ciudades más importantes son José María Morelos, Dziuché y Sabán.
Municipio de Isla Mujeres: El municipio está constituido por la Isla Mujeres y un sector continental.
Municipio de Solidaridad: El municipio se formó el 28 de julio de 1993 por decreto del Congreso del Estado durante el gobierno de Mario Villanueva Madrid. Su cabecera es la ciudad de Playa del Carmen. Visitamos el aeropuerto de Tulum Felipe Carrillo Puerto por dentro y damos un tour por sus nuevas instalaciones, ¿es tan malo como dicen? ¿está vacío? ¿hay goteras? ¿hay gente? ¿se llenará mucho? eso y más en este video! La verdad mi opinión (sin ser ingeniero ni arquitecto jajaj) es mucho más bonito que el AIFA, tal vez porque es más pequeño, pero más limpio que el de Cancún, es mucho mejor opción que el de Cancún!
