Driving Guide: From Fauske city to Kobbvatnet lake
This route starts at Fauske city and goes to Kobbvatnet lake in Sørfold municipality in Northern Norway. The parking lot is the start point for the bike or car trip up the Gjerdalen road as well as the kayak trip around Kobbvatnet lake. Kayaking around the lake results in a total distance of around 10 kilometres

Driving Guide: From Fauske to Ingeborgfossen start point
This hike starts at a parking lot by the inner part of Botvatnet in Saltdal municipality. From here you cross the suspension bridge and continue along the path until you reach a vantage point by the waterfall. The hike is around 1.20 kilometers long, taking about 20 minutes with a calm hiking speed

From Bodø and Fauske to Narvik by bus
A scenic bus journey from Fauske to Narvik in Northern Norway. There is no train connection on this route. You have to go by bus instead. You reach Fauske by train from Trondheim. From Narvik you can continue by train to Abisko, Kiruna, Gällivare, Luleå and Stockholm. Or by bus to the Lofoten and Nordkapp.

Hi-res photo tour from City Narvik to town of Fauske Aug 2009. What I liked about the route from Narvik to Bodo was it was just like the Northshore of Lake Superior in Minnesota, USA. Click on Show more for more information and links
Even the RV and tent campsites where just like on the northshore on lake Superior of Milnnesota. The Pine trees and waterfalls just like the northshore. Outstanding drive from Narvik to Fauske. One of things found interesting the city of Narvik is just like the hometown I grew up in. Duluth Minnesota. The same depressing, damp, chilly, steep streets and most of all the reddish dust from iron ore everywhere. The iron ore ships and loading docks just like duluth, wow.

Norway's Ultimate Motorcycle Mecca: Solo motorcycle Trip through Norwegian Mountain Passes [S5-3]
June 8th 2023: This day and everything about it was SO nice! Woke up at a epic camp spot, rode some breathtaking mountain passes and set camp again at one of the nicest campings I've ever been at ????
Route day 3:
Started from Tvindefossen camping, drove over the fantastic Vikafjell mountain pass and continued taking the ferry from Vangsnes to Dragsvik. Made a detour to check out Balestrand, then countinued to the second mountain pass of the day; Gaularfjell. Followed FV613 to E39 and headed east towards Skei. The campings there were so packed with people, I decided to continue to a smaller campground up in the mountains. And jackpot, @hoysethcamping appeared in the end of the valley! This has to be one of my favorite camps ever so far!

Things to Do in NARVIK, NORWAY
I spent two days in Narvik as part of my Northern Norway road trip, and here are the tops things I found to do around Narvik. I drove by the Kjerringstraumen Bridge, took the train from Narvik to Riksgransen, Sweden, took the cable car gondolbanen up Narvikfjellet, had coffee at Astrupgården Cafe (super cosy inside!), and played in the snow - in June!
