The Side Of Cuba You Will NEVER See ????????

From the roof of my guesthouse I can see the mountains of Viñales and the tropical countryside stretching out to the horizon. I wanted to escape the the centre of Viñales, where an endless amount of cowboys were asking me to ride their horse through the countryside. I wanted to explore and get lost for myself.
I headed down the dirt track at the end of my street and into the mountains. I was pleasantly surprised to find Elio, a 77 year old with a machete on his waste and a top pocket full of cigars, who was kind enough to show me how he survives all alone. Then I got even more lost and a lovely old lady invited me into her home for some much needed cold water.
