GUATEMALA CITY, GUATEMALA - Welcome to Guatemala City, Central America, and today we’ll be going on an ultimate Guatemalan street food tour - eating some of the best food in the entire city!
Mercado Central, Guatemala City - We’re starting this street food tour at Mercado Central (Central Market) to check out all the amazing produce and especially avocados as this bustling colorful market in the center of the city. The avocados were delicious and the fresh fruits were amazing. We ate some delicious Guatemalan antojitos as Refacciones Doña Mela, Guatemala City and some adobada and beef soup at Comedor Angelica, Guatemala City.
Cevicheria Los Chavos, Guatemala City ( - After some sightseeing about Guatemala City, we then headed to Cevicheria Los Chavos for a unique Guatemala City style ceviche made with some surprising ingredients - like worcestershire sauce and ketchup!
Hot Dogs Ejecutivos el Chino, Guatemala City - Now we’re moving on to the the most famous Guatemalan street food - the shucos or Guatemalan crazy hot dogs literally! This is one of the places that started it all - everything is grilled over fire and there about a dozen meats and toppings that go on. It’s a huge celebration of a hot dog all in one bun, everything chopped and layered perfectly. It was very tasty, and I especially loved the layers of guacamole avocado.
Shucos Campo Marte - Finally another Guatemala City street food gem is Shucos Campo Marte where there’s half a dozen stalls are serving roadside shucos and the trans-metro - a huge bus sized hot dog!

Κινούμαστε με αυτοκίνητο στη Κόστα Ρίκα. Πηγαίνουμε στη πόλη Αθήνα ή Αtenas και στη συνέχεια στη Σπάρτη ή Esparza. Αυτή η ιστορική αναφορά συνέβει γιατί ο πρόεδρος της χώρας José Rafael Gallegos ήταν μεγάλος θαυμαστής της ελληνικής Επανάστασης του 1821. 'Ετσι ονόμασε πόλεις με τα ονόματα Grecia, Atenas και την Esparza που όταν ιδρύθηκε ονομαζόταν Sparta! Την επόμενη με ένα τουριστικό λεωφορείο κάνουμε ένα ημερήσιο tour, πηγαίνοντας για αρχή σ΄ ένα ενεργό ηφαίστειο ονόματι Poas, ακολούθως σ' ένα πάρκο-δάσος όπου συναντάμε ατελείωτα φυτά και ερχόμαστε σε επαφή με τη φύση. Με το λεωφορείο κινούμαστε σ' ένα πανέμορφο καταρράκτη. Στη συνέχεια πηγαίνουμε σ' ένα ποτάμι όπου παίρνουμε μια βάρκα και κάνουμε μια βόλτα στο ποτάμι όπου θα συναντήσουμε μαϊμούδες, κροκόδειλους ιγκουάνα και άλλα ζώα στο φυσικό τους περιβάλλον. Γευματίζουμε υπό τον ήχο τοπικής μουσικής. Την άλλη μέρα κάνουμε μια τελευταία βόλτα στη Κοστα Ρίκα όπου πηγαίνουμε στις ακτές του Ειρηνικού και πηγαίνουμε να φάμε σε ένα τοπικό εστιατόρειο με τη συνοδεία ελληνικής μουσικής και συγκεκριμένα Τα παιδιά του Πειραιά
We drive by car to Costa Rica. We go to Athens or Athenas and then to Sparta or Esparza. This historical reference is because the country's president José Rafael Gallegos was a great admirer of the Greek Revolution of 1821. He named cities with the names Grecia, Atenas and Esparza which, when founded, was called Sparta! The next day, with a tourist bus, is to make a day tour by going to an active volcano called Poas, then to a forest park where we come across endless plants and we come in contact with nature. By bus we travel to a beautiful waterfall. Then we go to a river where we take a boat and take a ride in the river where we will meet monkeys, crocodile iguanas and other animals in their natural environment. We dine under the sound of local music. The next day, we take a final tour in Costa Rica where we go to the Pacific coast and go to a local restaurant accompanied by Greek music, namely The Children of Piraeus

Traveling to Costa Rica 2021 | Travel Vlog
This travel vlog is about the process to get from Chicago, IL to beautiful Santa Teresa, Costa Rica in 2021. A total of 17 hours of travel. The schedule is listed out below. Get ready! We are working and traveling the world for the 2021 calendar year and want to take you with us on the journey!

Our Travel to Costa Rica Timeline: Total travel time 17 hours
*Fly from Chicago (ORD) to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL)
*Catch connecting flight from FLL to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO)
-You will show your QR code before you board your flight to Costa Rica
-Total flight time: 6 hours and 25 minutes
-Total travel time from ORD to SJO: 9 hours
*Take the bus from SJO to Alamo Rental Car
-Total time: 1 hour and 15 minutes
-Make sure to get a 4X4!
*Drive from Alamo Rental Car to Puntarenas-Paquera Ferry dock
-Total time: 2 hours and 5 minutes
-There will be some traffic and about 4 tolls
*Take the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera
-Total time: 70 minutes
-Out total cost for 3 people and 1 car was $28 USD
-You can bring your car on the ferry
-There are taxis waiting on the other side as well
-The ferry runs 4 times throughout the day
-Schedule your travel so that you will arrive before your departure time
*Drive from Paquera to Santa Teresa
-Total Time: 1 hour and 35 minutes
-There is an Alamo drop off in Santa Teresa
Our total travel time was 17 hours (we stopped to have lunch in San Jose).
We did this all in one day, but you can easily break the trip into two parts by flying into SJO one day, staying the night, and continuing your travel to Santa Teresa early the next morning.
It is best to do the drive from Paquera to Santa Teresa during the day because there are several potholes and windy, dirt roads (we learned this the hard way).

You can also fly from SJO to Tamarindo Airport (TPO) and take a taxi about 45 minutes to Santa Teresa. The airfare will cost a little over $100 and the taxi will probably cost about $40-$50 USD
.
Or fly directly into Liberia International Airport (LIR) in Guanacaste Province and drive down to Santa Teresa. The drive is about 4 hours. LIR has fewer international flights when compared to SJO and ticket prices tend to be a little higher.
