Landshut is a city by the River Isar in Bavaria, southern Germany. It’s well known for the Trausnitz Castle, with its views across the old town.
We stayed in Landshut by accident as we booked accommodation in Munich in the wrong month - the accommodation that was left was either super pricey or pretty crappy. So we booked ourselves into Landshut, which is only a 50 min train ride away from Munich.
What to do in Landshut:
1. Walk down Altstadt
2. Walk down Neustadt
3. Enjoy a late afternoon stroll by the river
4. Walk to Trausnitz Castle and check out the beautiful views over the old town.
5. Visit St Martin's Church

THERME ERDING (The Largest Thermal Bath Complex in Europe)
Therme Erding is the largest thermal bath complex in Europe. It is 30 minutes northeast of Munich by car and is visited by around 4000 people every day.
The baths contain four distinct areas: the waterslide area Galaxy, the Thermenparadies, the Vital-Oase and the Saunaparadies.
The waterslide park Galaxy is covered by a 25-meter (82 ft) high metal dome, which can be half-opened in the summer months. There are 20 waterslides, one of which is the 2nd longest tube slide in Europe at 281 meters long. The slides are divided into three different levels of difficulty: Family, Action, and X-Treme.
Huge expansion work is planned for 2012, to the east of the current Galaxy (towards Altenerding), and will have ten new slides with a combined length of over 2,750 meters (9,020 ft)
The Thermenparadies has a surface area of 27,500 square meters (296,000 sq ft) (9,000 square meters (97,000 sq ft) interior and 18,500 square meters (199,000 sq ft) thermal gardens). The interior is covered by a glass dome which can be half-opened in the summer months.
The interior stands out, with a 1,450 square meters (15,600 sq ft) spa pool, pool bar, grotto, waterfall, neck showers, massage jets, Jacuzzi beds, and current channels. Quiet rooms, a massage area, health baths, a steam room, a bio-sauna, a children's area, and a restaurant are all located around the pool. The thermal garden is home to an outside pool that joins directly to the large indoor spa pool, with massage beds as well as sulfur mineral springs, a sandy beach, a beach bar, a beach volleyball pitch, and outdoor slides.
The Vital-Oase is available only for the use of those aged 16 or over. There is a spa pool with a pool bar, a sulfur mineral spring, clothed saunas, quiet rooms, and a restaurant. In September 2008, three health pools were opened, which are enriched with minerals from the Dead Sea, such as selenium and calcium.
The nudist sauna complex, available only for the use of those over the age of 16, offers 25 different saunas, two steam rooms, and multiple beauty treatment parlors in an area of 26,900 square meters (290,000 sq ft) (12,900 square meters (139,000 sq ft) interior and 14,000 square meters (150,000 sq ft) sauna garden).
The Saunaparadies's main building lies beneath a 60-by-40-meter (200 by 130 ft) large glass roof which can be fully opened in nice weather. In this building, there are Jacuzzi beds, 1,200 square meters (13,000 sq ft), 34 °C (93 °F) swimming pools, whirlpools, neck showers, and other outside pools. The outer pool is surrounded by three external saunas and a sauna lake. Of the rest, seven saunas are located in the main building, along with a meditation pool and a ladies-only area.

Landshut, Germany - the colourful houses of Landshut, the architecture of Landshut in Germany. Let's travel to the town of Landshut in Germany and let's admire the traditional colorful gothic houses in the Old Town of Landshut, historical town in Bavaria (close to Munich), Germany. Landshut is a town in Bavaria in the south-east of Germany. Landshut is situated in the centre of Lower Bavaria, and is part of the Alpine foothills. The River Isar runs through the city centre. Landshut is about 72 kilometres (45 mi) northeast of Munich.
Landshut was founded in 1204, when the duke of Bavaria built a fortress there, and was chartered in 1279. It remained a ducal seat until 1503 and was the site of the university of the Bavarian state from 1802 to 1826. An important rail junction, Landshut received more than 12,000 refugees after World War II, stimulating new industries such as electrotechnics and machinery. Other industries include brewing, milling, chocolate making, printing, and the manufacture of textiles and clothing, wood and paper products, and glass goods.
The city retains its medieval character. It is dominated by the ducal castle of Trausnitz (13th–16th century) and by the Gothic church of St. Martin (1389–1450), with one of the world’s highest brick steeples (436 feet [133 metres]). Other landmarks include the Renaissance ducal palace (1536–43); the Cistercian nunnery of Seligenthal (founded 1232), with a Rococo church; and the former Dominican monastery, which was the seat of the university. There are other medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque buildings, as well as many colorful gothic houses.

Walking in FREISING / Germany ???????? - 4K 60fps (UHD)
Freising / Germany is a town in Bavaria, located North of Munich close to the Munich airport. The city is also known for housing a campus of Munich University for brewery courses. The nearby Weihenstephan brewery was founded in 1040 and is the oldest one in the world.
We start out tour on an October day at the town square with town hall and St. George's Church. We have a look inside the church and then walk on the main street towards the east.
After the Angerbaderstreet we check out some streets north of the central main street and soon also south of that street. We are well on our way to the Domberg, a hill with the Freising Cathedral.
It only takes us a few minutes to get up the hill. A bit out of breath we visit the Freising Cathedral (Dom St. Maria und St. Korbinian) and enjoy a view from the Domberg Observation platform (Aussichtsplattform Domberg).
It's time to go down the the town again. We get to the town square once again and check out the western part of the main street (Obere Haupstraße) before we end our tour.
Note: during my visit a bit of construction happened in the center so the walk is a bit cut short though should still give a good impression of this rather typical Bavarian town.

We will go to The Church of St. Martin in Landshut which is a medieval church in the German city located in the state of Bavaria. The Church of St. Martin in Landshut is a Brick Gothic landmark and it is the tallest church in Bavaria, and the tallest brick building as well as church in the world. It is also the 2nd tallest brick structure in the world (after Anaconda Smelter Stack), made without steel supports. St. Martin's church has a height of 130.6 metres (428 ft).
Landshut is a city straddling the River Isar in Bavaria, southern Germany. It’s known for the medieval Trausnitz Castle, with its views across the old town. Within the castle is the Chamber of Art and Curiosities, displaying artifacts collected by the Wittelsbach dukes. In the old town, Gothic St. Martin’s Church has a tall brick tower. Close to the Isar is the Ländtor, a gate from the town’s medieval fortifications.
