INCREDIBLE TRADITIONAL ALBANIAN FOOD & feeling like locals in ELBASAN, ALBANIA ????????
We kept calling Elbasan Albania the city of surprises!
Why? Well, we took the worst looking train to get there, so we were not expecting much of this city. Our logic was, if this ugly train comes here, how cool can this town actually be? But we were wrong!
Elbasan Albania is beautiful and a very historic city. Yes, there's really not much to do or see other than the castle area and Albania's oldest mosque, but we really enjoyed seeing how locals live, G got a much needed haircut, we made new friends and also tried the most delicious Albanian foods of our trip so far. So, I call Elbasan a BIG WIN!

Në vazhdimë shfaqen zonat turistike që janë pjesë e padiskutueshme për sa i përket pjesës më pozitive që ka Elbasani, siç janë : Bysheku, Funari, Gjinari por edhe Belshi Turistik ,Kalaja dhe kulla e Sahatit të Peqinit ,vendbanimi Romak Ad Quintum në Bradashesh por edhe objektet e Kultit që janë pjesë mjaft e rëndësishme e historisë dhe ditëve të sotme të Qytetit.
Në video preket edhe pjesa negative që për mua ishte momenti më i padëshiruar për tu vendosur në këtë Reportazh siç është dhe zona industriale, ajo e cila dëmton kaq shumë këtë Qytet të mrekullueshëm duke i zbehur ç'do ditë imazhin dhe shkëlqimin Qytetit tonë, shpresoj që një ditë ndotja të mos jetë të paktën në nivelet kaq të mëdha në natyrë, rrugë apo ambientet tona të perditëshme.

This castle in Albania is mindblowing. Rozafa castle in Albania (Shkoder) is certainly one of our favourite castles that we have ever seen in Albania.
When visiting Northern Albania, you need to make a stop over in Shkodra. This is the gateway to the Albanian alps. While in Shkodra, make sure to stop here at Rozafa castle!

Elbasan Albania | Exploring the cities VIBE amid early curfew
So far a quick visit to Elbasan yielded my favorite city. This city has a great vibe that is mellow and classy. It is at the base of the mountains near many mountain get aways. In this video we get to visit a very upscale and classy Elbasan Castle. I will take you through the heart of town through rows and rows of filled coffee shops and bars. Also while visiting there they had a small seasonal carnival I was able to vlog in passing. We passed by a small area with ruins and had a beverage at the Happy Hour caffe . While returning home from Elbasan through Tirana I was stuck as the busses stopped running from an early curfew and had to stay the night.

Seguimos en Albania, y tras internarnos en el cañón de Holta, nos vamos a conocer la cercana ciudad de Elbasan, una ciudad poco turística, en la que podemos empaparnos un poco del verdadero ambiente de Albania.
La zona visitable de la ciudad se encuentra toda alrededor de su gran plaza central, donde se encuentra la muralla, que divide la ciudad entre su casco antiguo y la zona de edificios más modernos y de más altura al otro lado de la plaza. Aquí encontramos también las ruinas de una antigua iglesia paleocristiana, y su torre del reloj y mezquita, de factura más moderna. Aparte de esto también merece la pena darse un paseo por la parte amurallada, que era atravesada por la antigua vía romana, y donde encontramos también una mezquita mas antigua, que casi parece haber sido una iglesia reformada a mezquita.
Nosotros llegamos de noche con intención de cenar en un sitio que nos pintaba muy bien, la taverna Kala, pegada a la muralla, pero a la hora que llegamos ya lo habían vendido todo. Así que tuvimos que probar la gastronomía callejera local, y afortunadamente aquí tuvimos mas suerte, con unos koftas recién hechos. Aquí el kofta (pequeños albondiguillas alargadas de carne picada, kefta ó kafta, en otros países) nos lo sirvieron en un pan y con pepinillo, y si, estaba bueno.
Otra cosa que nos llamo la atención de Elbasan es la cantidad de gente que estaba tomando algo en sus terrazas. Realmente había muchísimo ambiente.
Pero en resumidas cuentas Elbasan tampoco tiene mucho que ofrecer al visitante, aunque si os coincide pasar por aquí si que es recomendable una rápida visita, cenar en la taverna Kala y disfrutar del ambiente que tiene de noche.
