12 Beautiful Lakes in California, United States 2022

12 Beautiful Small Town of California, United States 2022

Austin, Texas's capital, is located at the confluence of the Colorado River and the Edwards Plateau. Austin, the United States' second largest state capital, was created in 18 39 and named after Stephen F. Austin, the Father of Texas.

Austin is now a major administrative, educational, and cultural hub. The University of Texas, the Lyndon B. Johnson Library and Museum, and the Bullock Texas State History Museum are all located in Austin. The red-granite State Capitol, which was modelled after the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., is another tourist destination.

Despite being one of North America's fastest expanding cities, Austin has abundant opportunities to interact with nature. The Colorado River's Lady Bird Lake, a river-like reservoir, flows right through downtown and defines recreation in the area. Millions of Mexican free-tailed bats live in the landmark Congress Avenue bridge over the water, emerging in the nights to feed on the local mosquito population.

With this list of the best attractions and activities to do in Austin, you can plan your trip to the city.

10 Best Cities to Live in Texas

What are the best cities to live in Texas? In 2021, the United States as a whole grew about 1.5 percent. Texas saw the largest percentage increase in terms of absolute numbers and percentage, growing by 2.8%. There’s a constant desire for more space in America and that is probably one of the primary reasons that Texas is such a popular destination. Texas is growing at 1,000 people per day as reported by State Demographer Lloyd Potter. The state’s population growth is backed up by the latest world economic rankings. In a July 2015 report, the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor showed that 91 percent of the state’s CEOs say business start-ups are “a good thing for the state and its economy.” Here’s the list of the 10 best cities to live in Texas.

10. Waco
Waco has one of the highest projected job growth rates in the country over the next five years as the State of Texas and Baylor University collaborate to attract businesses to the area. It’s the first to be considered on this list of the 10 best cities to live in Texas. Waco is also expanding its options for retail, dining, and other services. In a bid to fast-track its recovery from Hurricane Harvey, Waco has continued to woo businesses and investors to the area. In the next five years, the city is expected to have a more than 10 percent job growth rate.
9. Southlake
This college town is surrounded by plenty of farmland, so there is ample space for homeowners to care for their horses and cows. Families also have opportunities to enjoy great outdoor recreational opportunities such as mountain biking, fly fishing, bird watching, and kayaking. This little coastal city is known for its oyster festivals and is famous for its beautiful beaches in Texas. The city itself is a historic river town with four miles of waterfront property.
8. Rockwall
Rockwall is a suburb of Dallas. It is walkable from the city. However, it is still not a cosmopolitan city. Its median household income of $77,654 is quite rich for Texas. Statistically also shows that it is the city with the most educated residents in the state. Rockwall has a higher rate of educated residents than anywhere else in the state. About 45.2 percent of them have a bachelor’s degree and more than half of its population either have either a university first degree or professional qualification.
7. North Richland Hills
North Richland Hills is certainly one of the best cities to live in the state of Texas. Residents of the hill country are known for their thick northern Dallas County, Hill County, and Edwards Plateau vegetation, year-round moderate temperatures, and scenic but challenging landscape. The long, narrow, rolling terrain creates a lovely, slow pace and intimate communities that are easily lovable.
6. Wimberley
The hills are a scenic backdrop to this quaint tourist town, home to world-class golf and cool indie shops. For all would-be-rescuers and naturalists, Wimberley has it all: rodeos, live music, and hot springs. If you prefer to be at the water's edge, check out Barton Springs, one of the largest spring pools in the world. If you love food, you'll love the Tex-Mex, gourmet coffee, barbecue, and Tex-Asian cuisine. For these and other reasons, Wimberley is one of the best places in Texas.

Spending a Day at St Edwards State Park + Excellent Brunch and Bars

Let's explore the beautiful St Ewards State Park located in Kenmore, Washington. Interesting fun-fact about this place is that back in the early and middle 1900's , The Seattle Catholic Archdiocese purchased the property that is now Saint Edward State Park to build a seminary for the Sulpician Order.

--------------------------------------------------------
St Edward State Park (also known as The Lodge) is now a fairly luxurious hotel that host's 2 great bar locations as well as their great tasting brunch known as Cedar & Elm.

Came here for the brunch over at Cedar & Elm and decided to spend the rest of the day here checking out some of the amenities that St Edwards has to offer along with walking down towards the beach.

--------------------------------------------------------
What's nice about having brunch at Cedar & Elm, especially on the weekends is their live bands/ musicians. On Sunday, they have a live harpist that comes during brunch hours and plays live music. We got the opportunity to sit front row and center while listening to her beautiful melodic strings on the harp. Simply amazing.

Cedar and Elm -

--------------------------------------------------------
After having brunch, make sure to check out some of The Lodge's other amenities. They have 2 bars that you can grab a drink or you can take a stroll along the hotel lines and visit one of their rooms. The rooms were pretty small IMO and for the price you're paying, not exactly sure it's worth it, but you'll likely be paying for the experience as well as being able to walk around the beautiful campus of St Edwards State Park.

--------------------------------------------------------
If you're feeling up for it, take a stroll down towards the beach front. It should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on which trail you take to access the beach. St Edwards beach would be a great place to have a picnic while dipping your feet in the nice (although, cold) water!

So if you're looking for a nice place to spend the day with friends, families, and loved ones, come check out St Edwards State Park and make sure you visit The Lodge and make a reservation to have brunch at Cedar & Elm!

Aerial of St Edwards State Park - Seattle WA

Make sure you watch in HD!

Check out my first aerial video! I filmed this with my quadcopter from XProHeli with a GoPro during the first stretch of really nice weather in Seattle. The editing was quick and dirty but it gets the point across. Done in Final Cut Pro X.

I go to this park all the time for mountain biking and it is absolutely gorgeous. So it was a natural choice as one of my first filming locations. You also get to see Lake Washington, Bastyr University and Downtown Seattle in the distance.

????????Edwards Mansion, Redlands????????California????????[4K]WIDE

????????Hi Everyone, Have an Amazing DAY!!!????????????????????????
???? Recording Date: February 10. 2022(THURSDAY)
⏱ Recording Time: Around 08:45 AM
????️ Weather: 82°F, 28°C????|☀️Sunny, High Wind Warning, Heat Advisory.

Redlands (/ˈrɛdləndz/ RED-ləndz) is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The city is located approximately 45 miles (72 km) west of Palm Springs and 63 miles (101 km) east of Los Angeles.

Citrus
In the spring of 1882, Mr. E. J. Waite of Wisconsin planted the first orange grove in the city. For almost 75 years, the city was the center of the largest navel orange-producing region in the world. By the late 1930s, Redlands was a fruit-packing center surrounded by more than 15,000 acres (61 km2) of citrus groves. The city produced more than 4,200 railcars of navel oranges and 1,300 cars of Valencia oranges during the 1937–38 growing season. During the 1930s and 1940s, labor activists campaigned in the canneries and packing houses for union representation and higher wages. The United Cannery, Agricultural, Packing, and Allied Workers of America (UCAPAWA) won 13 National Labor Relations Board representation elections in the Riverside-Redlands area in 1943. In 1945, the first annual Orange Queen Ball at the Redlands City Auditorium was held to raise funds for the union.

Women packing oranges at the Sunkist packing plant, Redlands, California, 1943
The citrus industry declined in the area as more agricultural areas were replaced by subdivisions, and all three citrus packing houses (two in downtown and one on San Bernardino Avenue) had closed by the end of the 1900s. Today only one packing house remains to serve the needs of approximately the 2,500 acres (10 km2) of citrus that remains in production in the area.
