Climate
The climate in Geldern can be described as temperate, warm, moderately dry. In the spring, there is quite rainy weather, but there are very few winds. Sunny days, as well as throughout the Netherlands, are not a frequent occurrence, mostly overcast, cloudy weather. In the summer-autumn period, the weather changes several times a day, ranging from fog to partly cloudy with rain. Winters are mostly warm but damp.

10. The Hague

3. Delta Project and Expo
The Delta Works is a series of construction projects in the southwest of the Netherlands to protect a large area of land around the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt delta from the sea. The works consist of dams, sluices, locks, dykes, levees, and storm surge barriers. The aim of the dams, sluices, and storm surge barriers was to shorten the Dutch coastline, thus reducing the number of dikes that had to be raised.
2. The Elfstedentocht
The Elfstedentocht is an almost 200 kilometres long skating tour which is held both as a speed skating match and a leisure tour. It is held in the province of Friesland in the north of the Netherlands, leading past all eleven historical cities of the province. The tour is held at most once a year, only when the natural ice along the entire course is at least 15 centimetres thick.

In this video I share 5 of my favorite places to visit in the Netherlands, outside of Amsterdam. The Netherlands is a beautiful country with much to see. Over my many visits there I have traveled around the country to explore more places. Want to see windmills? I'll tell you where to find them in a historic Dutch village. Want to see fields of tulips? I'll share my experiences of where to see those. As well as a quaint little Dutch city named Utrecht. And an awesome museum with the second largest Van Gogh collection and a massive outdoor sculpture garden.
