Hiking Kauai's Kalalau Trail in the Rain - is it dangerous? | Hawaii Vlog Part 4

The famed Kalalau Trail is truly what brought us to Hawaii in the first place. The Nā Pali Coast is legendary for its beauty and danger. Recognized as one of the most deadly trails in the US, this 22 mile out-and-back journey takes you along the most incredible coastline and through lush jungles.
The timing of our trip lined up with the rainy season in Kauai, but we were determined to check off this bucket list trail. There were some seriously sketchy moments, including goats kicking rocks off cliffs above us as we hiked!
The scariest part of hiking Kalalau during the wet season is that one misstep on the many ledge walks would send you tumbling down into the ocean. Wet clay becomes extremely slippery, so extra caution should be taken.
Never hike alone. Wear sturdy shoes with lots of traction. Bring a rope just in case.
