Pasadena is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States, 11 miles northeast of Downtown Los Angeles. It is the most populous city and the primary cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley
Downtown Pasadena California is the central business district of Pasadena, California. It is centered on Fair Oaks Avenue and Colorado Boulevard and is divided into three distinct neighborhoods: Old Pasadena, the Civic Center, and Monk Hill.
Old Pasadena is the historic core of Downtown, and has a multitude of fine shops and restaurants The attractions that are present around this area that involves shopping, dining, and entertainment. There are two parks, the historic Del Mar Station and Castle Green, and the headquarters of Parsons.
The Civic Center lies to the east of Old Pasadena and was built in the 1920s. It is home to Pasadena's City Hall, Paseo Colorado, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. These buildings are known as historical landmarks. It also houses several municipal government offices, though notably not the Department of Public Works, which is in Banbury Oaks.
Monk Hill is the westernmost part of Downtown and is home to the Norton Simon Museum and Ambassador Auditorium.

I drove through Pasadena's Colorado boulevard early morning when there were very few cars or people on the street.
Colorado Boulevard (or Colorado Street in Glendale and Arcadia) is a major east–west street in Southern California. It runs from Griffith Park in Los Angeles east through Glendale, the Eagle Rock section of Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Arcadia, ending in Monrovia. The full route was once various state highways but is now locally maintained in favor of the parallel Ventura Freeway (SR 134) and Foothill Freeway (I-210).

In Pasadena, Colorado Boulevard crosses the short State Route 710 spur and forms the north end of State Route 110 (Arroyo Parkway). Colorado Street, renamed Boulevard in 1958, runs through Old Town Pasadena from Arroyo Parkway to Orange Grove Boulevard. It is the north–south zero axis of the street grid in Pasadena (the east–west axis is Fair Oaks Avenue). The Tournament of Roses parade route travels north on Orange Grove Avenue then east along Colorado Boulevard as far as Sierra Madre Boulevard, where it heads north to Victory Park. Most major Pasadena attractions are found along or within one block of Colorado Boulevard. Pasadena City College is located at 1570 E. Colorado Boulevard. The street was mentioned in Jan and Dean's 1964 hit song The Little Old Lady from Pasadena. The road leaves the city into unincorporated East Pasadena, where it intersects Rosemead Boulevard (Former State Route 19), all while formerly signed as California State Route 248.
Pasadena California is a city in Los Angeles County, California, 11 miles (18 km) northeast of downtown Los Angeles. It is the most populous city and the primary cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley. With its substantial downtown area, observers consider it as either a suburb of nearby Los Angeles, or as a significant urban center in its own right.
Its population was 137,122 at the 2010 census and an estimated 141,029 in 2019, making it the 41st largest city in California and the ninth-largest city in Los Angeles County. Pasadena was incorporated on June 19, 1886, becoming one of the first cities to be incorporated in what is now Los Angeles County, following the city of Los Angeles (April 4, 1850).
